Pretty much. The players on that forum though gave me a good standard. Their writing quality was high, and they were committed, they didn't rapid-fire posts, but they would play to the very end. Every rp there we finished.

Nah you should definitely check it out. It's your typical, "unforgiving, but you almost always recognize the issue's on you rather than the mechanics" type deal.

I love Souls far more than someone as incompetent at video games as me should, but the FROM MAKES SUPER DIFFICULT HARDCORE RPGS thing has been overblown roughly since about when PTDE dropped on PC.

I'll admit it. My origins came from GaiaOnline. Left that place seven years ago, and afterwards I just drifted from board-to-board, honing my imagination and ideas with TvTropes. The best thing Gaia did tech me however was exposing me to the worse the internet has to offer for RPing, how to avoid it, and how to enjoy it. Sometimes I miss walk-on RP's, but then again at least here I don't have to play with a cast who's all half fucking angels and demons. Like literally hybrid angel/demons. At least most of the time I don't...

Yeah I left when my RP guild on Gaia started shoving their heads into their asses. They wanted to be able to axe rps which could end up becoming sexual (that is to say, when players could possibly get kinky) as well as limiting who could make rps and how lany they could have. It was madness. The public rp forum wasbt great either, had all sorts of shitters coming through, such as yours truly. But the exposure at least let me practice and experience some if the worse they had to offer. Of course im also learning something new and horrible everyday.

Also the contest deadline is being moved to the 18th. We don't need three and a half weeks to fill out a sheet; one and a half should be more than enough, given the credit incentive.

I started off on a mugglenet RP forum. I got banned cause apparently offering much needed criticism is considered rude and I refused to stop calling people out on there bullshit. After that I used a proxy server, and some fake email accounts to get through the block the ban had put on my computer and finish up the RPs I was involved in. I managed to trick the mods for about eight months before they finally caught on. Then my profiles started to get burned faster and faster until I could only use one for about a day before it would be banned.

While likely true, the issue is that they don't know that and do very little to explain their origins. At least if I do play demonic characters or subsequent Hybrids, I try to find out if there was some sort of hell or underworld where I came from and if Demons could breed with mortals. And then these fuckers come in with their fallen angels with all the power of an angel but without as many moral scruples. Even on the rare times i do play as an angel I get bombarded with these fallen fuckers who say I'm an extremist who isn't capable of understanding humans.

But that was Gaia, and in the past. Granted I see some of that here too, but at that point I let actions speak in place of words. The road to hell is paved with good intentions but the road to heaven is paved with good deeds, and if you're idea of a good deed it killing off gangsters because you think they're all thugs and gang bangers, then maybe it's better for you to stay on Earth.
