Bio: Alurat is the product of human ambition and elven magical affinity. He was born in a city dedicated to the pursuit of magical knowledge, and bot his father and mother were spell casters. As he grew up he realized that in a city of magic users his talents didn’t stand out, and so he sought a field very rarely delved into. Rune magic. There were many mysteries in rune magic, most of which the obscurity of the field left unanswered even in a city which focused on knowledge, and so Alurat sought to find those answers himself and become a master of the rarest type of power. He quested after and gained knowledge of ancient scripts and languages from across the realm, and after experimenting with his newly found powers of rune magic he took an extreme path. He began painting runes into his flesh, turning his body into the canvas for potent magical forces and discovering new ways to harness runic energies. Although his first attempts were merely on the surface of the skin, after he became confident in his skills he began to tattoo the runes deep into his skin where their magic would remain indefinitely. Now he scours the land for new spells and effects he can add to the canvas of his flesh. This is what has brought him to Tremshire, rumors of the beast have piqued his interest and he wishes to learn how to harness its power in the form of runes to enhance his body further.

Name: Sophia Pax Race: Elf Age: 45 (looks 24) Gender: Female Equipment: She carries twin swords. One is infused with fire magic and the other Ice magic. She normally wears just cloth armor to stay mobile in a fight. The armor also provides magical protection against some range anima magic. Magic: Anima magic Ice Dragon- Ice shoots out from her ice sword in the shape of a serpent freezing everything it touches. Fire dragon- Fire rages forth from her fire blade in the distinctive shape of a serpent burning all it touches and scorching the ground. Fire Fang- A swing of the fire blade unleashes a horizontal shockwave of fire hurling at her foes. Ice Fang- same thing as fire slash but ice element. Twin Dragon Dance- While taxing on the body, This spell gives her a boost of speed, energy, and strength leading to a flurry of Ice and fire sword attacks. Elemental Storm- Her ultimate ability. This takes a good bit of time to set up a spell circle and chant. She summons forth a storm of fire, ice, and lightning to devastate an area. Unlike her other spells, she does not need her sword to channel the anima magic. Bio: Sophia was born into the head family and heir to a clan of magical swordsman. Her elven line had found a way to tie elemental magic into objects and had long worked closely with a clan of Dwarven smiths. The Dwarfs crafted fantastic works of metal for the elves and in exchange, the elves provided magical enhancements for the dwarfs. This arrangement had worked for many generations. When she was born, Sophia's parents commissioned a weapon from their dwarf friend to commemorate her birth. The Dwarfs agreed and took great pride in their work. However and fortunately, The dwarfs came back with two identical blades for her. They claimed the sword they made had split in two while forging it. While too young to wield the twin blades, Sophia's parents kept them for Sophia until she was old enough to use them. Sophia was raised from a young age to use the sword and magic. She embraced the training and knew that it was her task to be the heiress to the family head. It was a destiny she could not refuse. As part of her training, She was to wander the world and learn from experience. When she departed to wander, She looked an listened for any conflicts to intervene in. When she heard about ember peaks, She made haste to Tremshire.

Honoka, The Archangel

Race: Human Age: She looks around her 20s, however her date of birth goes farther than that. Oldest she could be is around 50 years old. Gender: Female

Equipment

Angel's Feather: A sword given to her by the church, blessed with the enchantments of both Rune magic along with Sacred magic and it is bounded to Honoka until death parts them. The enchantments causes external sources of anything magical in nature that is not Honoka's, to react violently in the general proximity of being slight outside melee range. Making the sword quite a good weapon to defend against magical spells as magic is repelled off contact of the sword, this works the same way when attacking as it disrupts magical defenses in the same manor as well. Stronger spells may overcome the enchantments as simply it is too much for a sword the sword to handle for different reasons, most likely due to the amount of magical energy. Revered Armor: Armor donned to her also by the church, it is too blessed with Rune and Sacred magic to more specifically protect her if anything should try to harm her. The armor itself is considered to be an holy object, and empowers sacred magic used by Honoka whenever they are around whether passive or casted. It allows Honoka to use her faith as a shield to reduce damage done to her, however it does not entirely negate damage. Holy Necklace: A necklace given to Honoka by a friend who has long passed away, it reminds her of what she believes in and what she is fighting for. The necklace has a cross attached to it and is engraved with a worn out name showing the age of the thing. Besides that, there is nothing else special with the necklace besides being an accessory.

Sacred Magic

Entrusted in God: Although not a magical spell, with the teachings of the church and god in her mind Honoka believes that the Holy Revered Father is looking out for her in case of trouble. Her belief in her religion and practice grants her special abilities that are individually distinctive from other practitioners of faith. With her faith in god, it slows down her aging significantly to last twice as long of what her race allows giving her 200 years to be able to live. However if corrupted its change could be devastating on Honoka health and mentality, twisting it in ways no one could believe it could be. Faith as my Shield: With the help of her armor it allows Honoka to use her faith as a protective means to reduce damage from enemies who try to oppose her. With the use of her sword and barrier she can deflect off some of the more powerful attacks, however not all attacks will be canceled out and will hit her. The barrier basically softens things up for Honoka to allow her to deflect it if possible or get hit while still trying to minimize damage done to her. Belief as my Sword: Perhaps the strongest ability that Honoka has that stems from her divine connection to her god, it allows her to channel her faith into her sword granted by the church. Although not noticeable or detectable normally, with the use of magical means you can notice that her sword glows in a dull light blue color with Honoka's faith flowing there the sword. Causing its power to cut and slash become more powerful, as well as increasing its durability.

Bio

Skipping the sapping story of Honoka's dead family being massacred, Honoka was born more or less to a house which resided one foot in nobility while another foot as being a commoner. The status of her family's official ranking was often confused and mixed up meaning that many people of the nobility had simply considered that as 'special' commoners. However, after the mysterious death of her family caused by a fire Honoka was left to be an orphan at the church where they had taken her in. In there she was taught the life of being part of the church, being taught about their god and living a different life style that very much contrasted from what she was used to. However, over the years she had gotten used to living this way and had dedicated her life to the church. When she showed great potential being a Templar, she was taught the ways of being one practicing with swords against other Templars. Learning the basics of magic to make sure they knew what they were dealing with however, majority of their focus was Sacred magic and they learned to use it adeptly to contribute it to their combat. It had taken many years of steady practicing and preforming errands for the church when they needed however she was mostly independent, as she slowly climbed the ranks becoming an officer in the very end. Given the nickname The Archangel due to her dedication and her true faith in god which often separated her from the other Templars who were around. Acknowledged by the church, she was given a weapon claimed to come from an angel who had given its weapon to the church before passing. They had given her the sword, along side with the gift of some armor from the Knight Commander who at the time was in good relationship with, however had passed away months latter in a mission. There she was offered to become on of the knight commanders and was given the armor of her old friend however declined and remained as an officer. However in her active years she has disappeared from the church and is now for what everyone knows as an independent part of the church, using their name to bring good to where she can. Her going to Tremshire is no different, however will be a challenge considering what she has heard that goes around over there.

Name: Ivan Rischter, The Victor's Hand Race: Human Age: 34 Gender: Male Equipment: Ivan wields two broadswords in battle. These broadswords are named Twilight and Eclipse. These swords were crafted by dwarves and elves in cooperation, resulting to it shining under the moonlight and it being easy to handle. His set of armor is also made by the same crafters, but with the moonlight shining feature removed. Magic: Ivan uses only a few spells of Anima magic, namely: Counter Ambush - Ivan thrusts his sword into the ground, sending out a magical force that knocks enemies away from him. Hasten - Ivan becomes faster for a short period of time, allowing him to clear out enemies in a shorter time. Barrier - Ivan becomes enveloped in an invisible barrier that protect him from harmful projectiles. This can last as long as he wants, however it drains his energy the longer it stays. Bio: History is written by the victor. That is what Ivan usually says before venturing into a battle. Born in an ordinary household, Ivan had no choice but to work hard in order to sustain a stable lifestyle. He trained to be a knight for many years, and was successfully taken in by a noble. This noble soon died and he was reassigned to another. And the sequence continues. That was, until Ivan became rogue and wandered around the world. He had everything he needed - money, knowledge and his set of equipment. He travelled through many cities, seeing all the different cultures and traditions of each. But he also saw the dark truth of mortality - being forgotten. He remembered all the nobles he had served for and their graves, their only proof that they were in this world. Ivan didn't want that. He wanted to be remembered as something great, something that should not be forgotten. He wanted to be a legend. And in order to do so, he must be in every impactful happenings in the world. And he did, he went into wars and won them, into gladiatorial events, in revolutions and monster hunts. He soon earned the title of the Victor's Hand for most of the sides he took gained the upper hand. But still, he did not feel as if it was enough. To him, it did not seem that he will be remembered in a great way. Hearing the call of Tremshire, he immediately headed there. He felt as if in this one, in this quest, was his desire to be remembered to be fullfilled. Appearance: Ivan is not likely to take off his set of armor, not even his helm. Name: Vaelin Sinnet, the Wanderer Race: Human Age: 25 Gender: Male Equipment: Basic travelling sack and durable adventurer's clothing (mix-match of leather and cloth). Though he is a Runic Mage, he is quite adept with a sword and carries a trusty blade at his side. Most importantly, he carries a leather-bound notebook that he uses for his magic (to be explained in the Magic section). Magic: Written Runes. By replicating the ancient sigils within his notebook and then tearing and crumpling the page within his hands, Kevin can invoke magics of the old. This ranges from anima-affinity spells, to magical materialization, and to blessings and curses. The downside to his magic is that it MUST be written before it can be casted, leaving him to often become an 'immobile' mage. It is also a dilemma if he were to lose this portable ink pen or his leatherbound book, or worse, both. Bio: The son of an alchemist and a scholar, Vaelin Sinnet had lived quite an ordinary life. Though he may be quite knowledgeable, nothing really stood out from the boy besides his knack for getting in trouble. Quite rebellious at an early age, he was quite popular with the children of his age and managed to form a 'gang' of mischief makers that ran rampant in his small town. Though their actions were anything but hostile, their reckless behavior was such a nuisance that Vaelin's parents decided to send him off to a nearby city for a private boarding school in hopes of fixing his vagrant streak. It was here where the young child was exposed to magic for the first time; by becoming an apprentice to a mage of the lost art of Runes, Vaelin had paved himself a path to become a user himself. Throughout the years, the boy had retained a vast amount of information on magics, and his thirst for knowledge drove him to the top of the class. It did not take much for him to graduate as one of the tops in his class. However, after his graduation, his thirst for knowledge became a siren's call for adventure. Filled with confidence, power, and youth, Vaelin had decided to set for the world rather than returning back to his hometown. It has been several years on the road, and he had become quite an adept adventurer. It also helped that his mental library of runes had increased since the times of his academic years. Now, the grand merchant city of Tremshire beckons him with it's richness and alluring mystery of the Ember Peaks.

Name: Berthellemy Rainaldus Race: Human Age: 23 Gender: Male Equipment: Black/Gray Robes, Silver Cross, and a bag of miscellaneous tools used in the wilderness. Magic: Sacred Magic Heir of Life - Heals an ally, how much it heals them depends on how long the spell is recited before it is casted. Transparent Knight - enhances an ally's defense against both physical and magical attacks. Purification through Flame - Creates a holy flame within his cross that dispels/purifies malevolent creatures and spirits. Sinner's Burn - Enchants Berthellemy's cross with regular fire, allowing him to burn and incinerate flesh and the living. Spell Breaker - Enchants his cross with a holy light that can dispel curses, weaker magics, as well as spells that enhance the enemy. Can also be used as a source of light! Woah! Can be used in combination with purification through flame or sinner's burn. Cleric's Gift - A passive magic that increases his ability to recover from magic damage. Bio: Berthellemy was an orphan for most of his early life, and was adopted by a church multiple towns away from where he was born. They were a travelling group, that found him on their way home. One of the priests had taken a liking to the boy, and had decided to give him a life that would be better then that of one raised on the streets. Berthellemy was quite happy to have someone choose him and want to help him, so he quickly took a liking back to the priest. He was raised as one of the church's own, even though he didn't always follow their beliefs and understand why they did what they did. Berthellemy wasn't proficient with magic, but was ecstatic to know he could be part of the magic clergy if he was willing to study. Not only was he willing to study, he was also willing to go the extra-mile and could usually be found pestering some of the experienced members about wanting to help them out and keep them in practice. It took some time, but eventually Berthellemy was able to rise through the ranks and learn his stuff. Although some of his brethren were not all that excited in his willingness to study combative magics, he believed he was doing what he thought was necessary. One firm belief he had that separated him from the others, was that violence is sometimes the only solution. As he continued to grow, he eventually began to work directly under the man who had raised him. Together, they did their best to help out those who were suffering or needed assistance. Berthellemy wasn't as always as smooth or wise as his elder, but he certainly did impact lives. However this would all eventually come to an end when the priest was met by a group of survivors who hailed from near Ember Peaks. He heard their tales, and gathered a few other members of the clergy and went to find out what truly was causing these attacks. They were never to return, only ashes and molten metal were left of the good men. It was at this time that the city council began to offer rewards to those who would stop the beast. Berthellemy went to join those who wanted the reward, hoping to claim a portion of itself, as well as for other reasons. Part of it was the want to help those who suffer because of the beast, another to gather funds for his people, and the third was revenge, something he is not ashamed to admit.

Name: Samuel Redmane or Samuel Redtail-Lionsmane Race: Viern/Vix Age: 19 Gender: Male Equipment: The Redmane Swordpike: When the Redtail and Lionsmane families were combined, they fused their family weapons into one as a symbolic gesture. He is skilled in using this weapon in offensive and defensive combat, but not to an extreme. The sword can be fixed into the pike's shaft and the shaft can collapse. The blades are steel with reinforced wooden shafts. Samuel's Armor: Regular steel armor, crafted to fit Samuel. Magic: Anima: Sacrifice: This can heal others, at the lesser expense of his well-being. For example, he could restore someone's arm if it was all sliced and bleeding, but he would lose control of one of his arms. These changes last from 20 minutes to a day depending on the severity. This is administered by touch. Bio: Samuel is the offspring of a Vix and a Fiern. Because of their traits, he is stronger than the average trained man, but not by much, and he is very kind. He was trained from a young age to make and use weapons. He can make various non-magic weapons if given the materials, and can use them too. He set out to earn money for his family, and figured this town was as good as any. He grew up in a family that made just enough money to stay above water, but remembers what it is like to be hungry. Personality: Samuel is very kind to those he meets. He is willing to help others often, and is willing to use the Sacrifice power on even those who he doesn't know. He enjoys working with others. Appearance: Samuel's body is covered with a reddish fur. His face has a bit of a constant red fuzz on it, and his bright blue eyes are brought out by it. He wears a light robe under his armor, which covers his chest, back, abdomen, and upper thighs. He is quite agile, and the armor does not encumber him. He has 2 fox tails, one is slightly smaller. He is rather thin, but not scrawny. He does not wear shoes. The Swordpike is strapped to his back, and is easy to unsheathe.
