Aery froze as she heard someone walking outside their hospital room. She slipped a dagger from her boot, crouching on the side of the door, and then yanked it open, stabbing out, barely missing Shadow. "Oh my gods, I'm sorry, Shadow." She whispered, opening the door slightly wider to let him come in. "You scared the daylights out of me." she said quietly, sheathing her dagger.

Shadow looked down at her and then quickly looked away. he would tell her as soon as he got into the room and then he didn't know it he would rather have the dagger in him now or then. he walked into the room and then stood in the center of the room. " I'm sorry Aery. i failed you all. i tried to save you but in the end more of you died. With the last of her energy Ame brought me back and to killed those that killed her but i still failed and she is dead now." he hung his head and said " what use am i if the things i want to do i can't do?"

Aery sat stock still for a moment as his words caught up with her. "Ame's dead." She wanted to scream it, cry, anything, anything but the dead words that came out of her mouth. But she couldn't believe it. Her daughter and little sister. "Who... Who was it. That killed her, I mean. Did... Did she suffer." Her voice was raw and rough like she was about to cry... She probably would cry if she had any tears left in her. God, her emotions were gone, just gone. She couldn't even ask with any sense of caring, just with those dead dead words falling from her mouth.

Shadow looked at her and then said " no she didn't suffer." he knew that the lie would come out at some point but he couldn't take the way that her words sounded. she didn't have emotion in her voice and it drove a stake into his heart. what the hell had she been through to do this to her. he would try to figure it out at some point but for now he could only try to help her get better.

"I'm going to kill everyon . I'M KILL 'EM ALL TO SATISFY MY RAGE OF AME PASSING AWAY" Not even caring for her own health, Celaena got up and began walking out of the hospital from her own willpower

Shadow walked after her and then said " if your going to kill anyone they you should start with me because i'm the one who failed. so what are you going to do about that. i should have been there when Ame needed me. not when she was dead. i'm the one who should die. What do you have to say to that." he drew his sword and would attack her if she tried to keep going. " your the one at fault here. Aery is mentally broken and your just going to take away the only one that she trusts. You are walking away from her when she needs you most. You can help her better than i or anyone else can. So are you still just going to leave her behind?"

Celaena stopped and turned to shadow and walked up to him and stopped one step away from and inched her face to his "Don't you think I'm just a broken than her, put your sword away before it ends up in your kidney, I'm not in the mood but I welcome your word . I should have thought about what I did then, welcome to the guild. I've seen your skills so I name you Adept Assassin, the middle of the rank board." She said and looked into his eyes "I'm thankful you come for us." And then hugged him

Shadow didn't put the sword away but he did move it when she hugged him. " i made a promise to Ame that i would help you for as long as i can. i failed her once i will not do so again. and i see now that i'm needed here more that i thought i would be. I'm sorry for all those who we have lost." when she finished with the hug he held the sword up and then place one hand under the blade and the other under the hilt. " i made 4 swords before i went to limbo. this is only one of them. each blade is special in its own way. this one has a poison infused into the metal that takes only a few minutes to take full effect. the effects range base on the size of the wound from minor weakness to complete body shutdown resulting in death. I have no wish to keep this sword any longer. i give it to you. the only one who in these dark times bothered to care about what i have to say. you have no choice but to take the sword. you don't have to use it though." He said with a smile.

"So you accept my offer to join my guild, then Shadow, I will take your sword if you become a student in my guild." She grasped the sword by the handle and took it then sheathing it her secondary sword sheath, she lay one hand on his shoulder and looked at him with her one eye that had been stabbed in Endovier, and she wanted to keep that to prove she wasn't untouchable, she was s Fa . Rowan had died, so did Ame and silly and she felt empty for their deaths "Shadow, how can I cope with all these death . We should have stayed in Adarlan. Carry Aery, we're going back home.*

" the only way to deal with death is time. the pain will dull but it will always be there and you will always question if there was anything that you could have done different. but stop those thoughts or they will drive you mad because the only thing you could have done different is die. i'm happy to help you and the guild" Shadow said as he turned back and walked inside and walked to the room. he walked over to Aery and lifted her into his arms before walking back to Celaena and saying " Do we walk or do you want to supply the location and i can use my magic to get us back there."

Aery didn't even struggle. Of course, she didn't even realize that Shadow had picked her up, so lost in her own mind was she. I failed them all. Silly and Tazz and Ame and Rowan... Rowan. Why did he... He betrayed us... Why...? He said he loved me, he promised, and then he killed Silly and Ame killed him and someone else killed Ame and I should have been there to protect all of them and I couldn't. She was crying again, her face pressed against Shadow's chest. "I can't do this..." she whispered. "I honestly can't do this."

Shadow looked down and then ran his hand through her hair and said " I'm sorry. you should never have been forced to hear about the death of your friends. if they were not at peace then i would bring then back but they are in peace. if you want i can try to set up a link between them and you with me as the conduit. i don't know if it will work but i can try if you want me to." he didn't like seeing her in this condition i tore his heart apart.

Aery shook her head. She wanted to, but... "It'll just hurt more, trying to talk to them and not being able to ever... ever see them again. T-thank you though... for offering." She wiped the tears away from her face angrily. "I should have been the one to d-die... I should have-should have been there f-for them."

" i know someone that would call you an idiot for saying that and she is the only reason that i'm here with you now. If Ame ever heard you say that she would have done something to you for saying it. but since i'm here i will say this. your wrong. i should have been the one to die not any of them. i should have had more control over the parasite and then i could have fought at your sides and then i would have been able to die in their places. but lets not focus on the past and look at the future because if we focus on the past we will just want to die." Shadow said with a smile.

"Take us back to Rifthold, There is a problem we still need to take care off in the Name of Charles." She said and waited for him to transport them to Rifthold, she would finally be able to kill charles for the exile, for it was his fault silly and ame got killed, he made the group leave, but she would finally get revenge for that fateful day, he left her at the the Royal Ball to die and, then forced her out of the city she vowed to protect, and that was very very bad.

Shadow nodded and then focused on his memory of Rifthold. he then spread his power around them all. he then move them to the location in his memory. in a flash there were standing in the streets of Rifthold. he looked around and then said " go do what you need to Celaena i will take Aery with me and find a safe place for us to hold up for a while." he took one of the vials off his neck and handed it to Celaena " this is a quick healing potion it can heal even fatal wounds in a few minutes use it if you need it."

Aery looked up at Shadow. "I should... I should go with Celaena. It's my family he killed and I think... I think I should be there for revenge." She gritted her teeth, sliding out of Shadow's arms. She stumbled and almost fell as her feet touched the ground, but regained her footing. Her eyes, still sparkling with tears, were harsh as she looked at Celaena, her mouth quivering but set firmly. "I can do this..." she whispered, half to herself. "I will do this. For Tazz and Gray and Liza and Emly and everyone else."

Shadow shook his head and then said " Then i will come with you both just to make sure nothing happens to you. your both still weakened from before and i'm the only one at full strength. so i have to come with just in case you get attacked by something more that a few guards." he then took another one of the vials off and handed it to Aery " here you should have one as well just in case we need them."

"Shadow, Track us from the roof tops, if we run into trouble, we will need you up there for supporting fire" She gets her Bow from her back and then gives it to him and then smiles at him, and then walks forward slightly wrapping her arms around his neck and then kissing him and then turns back to Aery, starts walking with Aery, Celaena was smiling after that but in her heart she knew she had to do what she had to do.

Shadow quickly got up on the roofs so that he could track them. he pulled his cloak in close to his body so that he would be harder to see as he moved around up here. when he saw a few guards looking around up on the roofs he dropped down and then climbed up behind them and slit there throats with one of his daggers the whole time keeping an eye on Celaena and Aery.
