The uniforms themselves are the matching, solid color of your character's Zone. The number is printed on the right sleeve in a conflicting color (black on red uniforms, red on white uniforms, and white on black uniforms).

Well, I guess it's not too much to worry over if it was a very small object that could fit in a pocket or something.

@ScarlettWaters16 If you want to re-edit your first post and bring back the journal, but as a stowed away pocket-sized version, that'd be okay.
