I'm trying to decide how John and Valkyr would respond.

John has 3 possible actions and Valkyr has 2. John could keep running, stand and fight, or shock Chris and try to lead Valkyr away. Only problem is that while Valkyr has lost intelligence and awareness, she has gained strength and speed. That makes option 3 not so likely. But Valkyr is the embodiment of what John opposes, so that's a negative towards option 1.

If Valkyr wasn't as enraged, she would just smack Chris aside. I mean, she can still do that but she's supposed to have lost awareness. She can also take the hit and then redirect her fury towards Chris.

Also, I think Chris was relying on her having enough mind to be disturbed by his proximity/hurt by looking at him, though I half expect that it's response to "Weird guy, don't like him and hurts to look at him" may just be "Kill it even harder".
