Okay I'm having serious internet issues or I could have posted like an hour ago. No more from me tonight, I may not even be on. As always any of you can railroad Aria until I get back. Hopefully on sunday, but no promises, because my father is tinkering with the internet. Well, he's disentangling the wire rats' nest that lives behind our desktop computers. He keeps unplugging important things like the internet and at one point he unplugged a lamp or something and tripped the circuit breakers on the entire house. .-.
So no more posting for me, and then tomorrow and the next day is my birthday party and sunday I'll be judging the writing contest. Assuming my dad hasn't killed the internet.
It's alright, that last post will hold us off for a while. I actually read your post about about 12.30 last night, gave me the creeps. Bravo.
I don't know what to post x.x
Also, Ro would develop a severe case of strong-dislike for the people who all refer to him and the people he's placed above as "nerds."
He'd actually hate it, like the rest of them.
I see where you're coming from, but I disagree. It's about tone and context. Jack's helped them and they've helped Jack. They're in a friendly working relationship. It's like when your friends or your parents call you a 'dork' or whatever, they're not being mean, it's more affectionate than anything else. I don't mind being called a nerd if it's by someone I like. Ro can hate Jack if he wants, I'm just trying to argue the other side of it, y'know?
Working on a way to incorporate Ro's two puppies into the roleplay. At first, I was thinking less ermagawd-outside-scary-as-poop and more ermagawd-must-find-supplies-and-crap, so going home and getting his puppies and any of his little knicknacks is out the window.
Herm. Perhaps his transportation could be not-too-far and might have a firearm? Maybe a bring-your-pet-to-school day for one class or another, allowing him to have his pups since they ain't too big.
What do you think, @The Scotsman?
I would love to have the puppies in this. That would be adorable. But we should wait until we start venturing outside which will be quite soon. Like someone (you, possibly) pointed out, we will have to go get supplies soon to keep everyone going. We could totally grab the gun and figure something out about the pups then. Don't know about the show-and-tell idea. PM me at some point and we can discuss it for when the time comes.
Sorry. I really want to join this but I have not had a spare minute to sit and write. >_< I'm moving, so... yeah.
No worries, post whenever you can, moving is difficult and time-consuming hahah.
I am writing a sequence of things and current events. Maybe @The Scotsman can put it somewhere safe! So everyone can easily keep track of each other.
Timeline
Day 1
- An eclipse darkens the earth. The school faculty disappears, and the power grid fails. The world is in darkness.
- Jack Smith rallies together the nearby students, including Valerie Peterson, Cecil Ambrose, Aria Johnson, Robyn Capuche, Avi Raclaw, Vanessa Lockheart, and Braden Welles.
- Jack charges Aria and Vanessa to check the office for supplies and information, and Valerie and Cecil to find floor plans and a generator. Jack patrols the school for stray students, and everyone else moves to the main auditorium.
- A horde of unknown creatures appears outside the building, and a thick mist shrouds the air.
- Foreign student Fujita Maki finds herself alone and terrified after she is forced to kill her only friend in self-defence in the office.
- Aria and Vanessa stumble upon Maki near the office and offer their aid. They find little medicine and an attendance sheet.
- Jack lays down some rules and begins the rudimentary organization of the students.
- Robyn sends a group of students to the cafeterias for food and another to the gymnasiums to scavenge firewood and build dwellings.
- Valerie and Cecil find the custodian's office vandalized and the medical keys, kitchen keys and basement keys stolen.
Current Events
- Several students are experiencing hallucinations and uncharacteristic states of mind.
- Jack, Robyn and Braden are organizing the student body.
- Aria and Vanessa are helping Maki through a traumatic experience.
- Valerie and Cecil are seeking floor plans and an electrical generator.
You are a godsend. Simple as that.
Just making sure before I start working on my post; Is anyone going with Braden to check the power grid? Just wanted to make sure before I accidentally wrote around you.
And @The Scotsman When we do get to working on the power grid, is it plot related whether we fix it or not?
I was intending on Jack going down with him. He's pretty technically-minded and would do well with the Monkeys. Yeah, it is plot-related.
On a semi-related point from above, would anyone mind if I added Auto Shop to my classes bit and said that Jack enjoyed the electrical and motion portions of Physics? It seems like it would fit the characters better is all.
