Rain had a good life. He had nice friends, good parents( if a bit absent minded) even a guy he may have started to date eventually. However, that all ended one snowy day. Rain and his friends were heading home from their annual ski trip. The inside of the car was pure chaos with music going, and endless teen chatter. So, they crashed. Rain felt weightless for a moment, then pain blossomed everywhere in his body as the car flipped over again and again. By the time the car finally stopped moving, he was unconscious and two of the five people in the car were dead. Rain went into a coma, and didn't wake up for two months.
By the time his coma ended, his perception of the world had been warped considerably. The walls were masses of rotten flesh, his blankets were woven together tentacles, and everything was warped into some hellish version of itself.The smell of it all.Oh the smell made him throw up several times before he learned to block it out but that wasn't the worst part. The most horrible part was that the people themselves were grotesque monsters that spoke in grinding noises that hurt his ears. He at first thought he was hallucinating, and that it would go away after a while. Rain couldn't have been more wrong. It would never go away. He recognized the fact that this was the same world she was used to at first but as the months passed she began thinking that those people were real monsters, and that he had to keep pretending otherwise she would be eaten by them.
So, he distanced herself from others. Rain became cold, and pushed away anyone who tried to talk to him. He became depressed, and paranoid. She also took to cutting her arms when it became too much, when she started doubting that she was human. It made her relax, seeing red blood instead of the yellow pus those thing bleed.
