Initially? No, but maybe as it goes :3

During this initial journey, Jiang would never sacrifice himself for the group unless he was already gravely wounded and going to die anyway. If they were all healthy and one person had to stay back and die so the others could escape then he would never suggest himself, but thank and love whoever did as well as do what he can to avenge them.
