"So what do you want this Eevee to evolve into?" asked Shiranui.

"Well, what I want this Eevee to evolve into is irrelevant since it isn't my egg." Liam replied. "But, if it were, I would want it to be either: Flareon or Espeon."

[Flood]

"I don't believe that's his choice nor egg." Ryan commented in response to Shiranui. "However, if I were to have an Eevee, I would want it to become a Sylveon. I don't have anything that can defend against Dragon Types yet."

"Sylveon is a good choice." Liam replied. "My first Eevee became a Sylveon."

"Besides Oberon?" reminded Shiranui, "Ralts are immune to Dragon-type moves."

"I'm thinking long term though. Oberon will one day become a Gallade, making him a Psychic and Fighting Type." Ryan explained his reasoning.

"Well, we should probably get going to the Battle Chateau." Liam said.

"I agree," replied Shiranui.

[Flood]

"If we are, I'm staying outside." Ryan left his reasoning unexplained. He then began walking to the Chateau after retrieving his Pokemon.

At the Chateau, Liam saw the Roller Blader girl again. He heard a voice behind him. He turned to see an Alakazam standing there. Liam knew this particular Alakazam as his father's Pokemon. He hugged the Pokemon. "Where's dad?" Liam inquired. Alakazam motioned to a glass wall. Liam's father was on the other side. His Poliwrath was facing off against a Gardevoir. The Gardevoir's trainer was wearing white and carried a pink purse. He noticed a keystone on her necklace and a Mega Stone on a pendant that Gardevoir wore. Both trainers in the battle wore purple capes.

"Something tells me the Gardevoir's trainer is someone high in the Kalos League's echelons," stated Shiranui after seeing the battle take place, "Type-wise, it's not looking good for your father."

The roller blades girl overheard Shiranui's speculation. She confirmed it and explained she is Diantha, the Kalos Champ. She introduced herself as Korrina.

[Flood]

Ryan walked inside after confirming Viola was gone and walked over to the rest of the group. "Oh yeah, your dad's screwed bro." Ryan stated after looking them over. "I don't know how good your dad is, but Diantha is better. She's destroyed everyone who's challenged her in the past year, I don't see anyone winning against her anytime soon. The last time I saw her actually have to work is when she battled... I don't think I caught his name. He had a red hat and a Charizard." Ryan began wondering what his name was. Oberon intently watched the Gardevoir as it battled. Fuma meanwhile was glaring at some other Water Type Pokemon nearby.

"You're the gym leader of the Shalour Gym if I remember rightly," stated Shiranui to Korrina.

@floodtalon "You don't know my dad screwed up. She might have sent Gardevoir out in response to Poliwrath." Liam defended. "Besides, while my dad have never won reginals, he still does very good in them. He has also won a few competions such as Saffaron City's P-1 Grand Prix. Don't count my father out yet."

[Flood]

Ryan sighed and shook his head. "I never said he screwed up, I'm just saying he has no chance in this fight. It doesn't matter how many regionals or competitions he wins, this is the Champion. Diantha is LITERALLY the strongest trainer in Kalos." Ryan looked to Diantha as her Gardevoir used Hypnosis on the opposing Poliwrath. "She's probably about to take out that Polywrath right now." Gardevoir then used Dream Eater as the Poliwrath was in clear pain. "No offense to your dad, but he has less of a chance than an ice cube in hell."

Poliwrath woke up and used Poison Jab. It was a critical hit and poisoned Gardevoir. She Mega Evolved Gsrdevoir snd used Moonblast, beating Poliwrath. Diantha praised the battle.

"He must be good if he lasted this long against Diantha," commented Shiranui.

"A fair point." Ryan replied smoothly as Diantha looked his way. She waved at him, then continued talking to Liam's dad. "Why are we here again?"

"It is a good training spot." Liam replied.
