[Flood]

Ryan saw the shiny Honedge seconds before Shiranui and was going to do something when Shiranui handled it. "Nice catch." He commented as he saw the Battle Maison. He whistled in appreciation and chuckled. "Have I ever told you about the time I went there? Professor Sycamore took me there to see the best trainers in the world. I even met one of the Chatelaines, Evelyn I believe her name was. She was nice, quite shy though. I was somewhat expecting her to faint two minutes into the talk." Ryan told his story with a bit of enthusiasm. " Good times. Good times."

"So, it is The Battle Maison." Liam replied. "I think it would be fun to do some battles there."

[James Davy]

"Not so fast, Liam," Shiranui interrupted, "According to my map, this is the Battle Chateau."

[Flood]

" Oh. In that case, I've never been here." He walked forward with a smile on his face and began to walk in, and immediately turned right back around and closed the door still smiling.
Five Seconds Ago
Ryan opened the door with a smile on his face as he opened the door straight into Viola who was carrying her injured Vivillon. He had knocked both of them straight into the floor, and straight up knocked the Vivillon out. He turned right back around before anything could be said and closed the door.
Flashback End
"Let's just move on to the next city." Ryan then began walking the exact opposite way they were supposed to go.

[James Davy]

"Ryan, you're going the wrong way," stated Shiranui.

"Congratulations son," Mr. Tsukiko said, "I hereby make you my successor and I also bestow upon you two gifts. The first is a Soothe Bell to help you bond with your Pokémon and the second will be given to you at the Daycare Centre in Kalos."
"Thanks father," replied Shiranui, knowing a Soothe Bell was just what he needed for Tachi.

Liam remembered something that Mr. Tsukiko had told Shiranui back in Ecurteak City about the day care in this region. "Shiranui, do you know where the day care center is in this region?"

[James Davy]

"Well, according to my map…" Shiranui did the anime sweat drop. "…we walked right past it. Care to follow Ryan?"

"Well, I think I'll come as well." Liam added.

[Flood]

Ryan just continued walking once he learned they were going to the Day Care Center. Oberon shook his head and sighed.

[James Davy]

The Day Care Centre was soon in sight.

The trio arrived at the day care center.

"Hello," Shiranui greeted, "I'm Shiranui Tsukiko. My father told me you guys have something for me."
"Ah yes, we do," replied the Day Care Man. Shiranui was surprised at the Kalos Day Care Couple being young Pokémon Breeders. The Day Care Lady presented Shiranui a lavender and mauve egg with a card attached to it.
"Thank you," said Shiranui, receiving the egg and looking at the card, which read '私は息子さん、あなたの誇りに思っています。'.
"Thank you, father," he said to himself, knowing exactly what the card said.

"Ah, I haven't seen a Pokemon egg that was colored like that before." Liam commented. He saw another egg in an incubator. it had brown and tan zigzags on it. "Now this one I have seen before." Liam commented.

[Flood]

Ryan hung out in the back of the room as he watched the various pokemon interact with one another. He found it quite calming. The eggs were nice too.

"That looks like a Zigzagoon egg if I'm not mistaken," stated Shiranui, "As for mine, I've battled a Pokémon with this colouration back at the Johto League."

"I know why you think that, but it is not a Zigzagoon." Liam replied. The day care couple confirmed it.

[Flood]

"What egg is it then? I don't believe I recognize it either." Ryan asked from the back of the room. He had released some of his Pokemon to play with the other Pokemon running around.

"The Pokemon that will emerge from this egg is quadarpidal and extremely rare." Liam said. "Have any guesses?"

[Flood]

Ryan thought on the question for a moment and snapped his fingers. "It's an Eevee isn't it?" He asked with a smile.

"Bingo!" Liam replied. "This is an Eevee egg. I remember one time when I was eight, Mom had to take me to work with her, because my nanny, Florence was unable to take care of me that day. While I was with mom, I met a trainer who had an egg like this one, and it hatched into an Eevee."
