Giant Robots vs Giant Monsters!

My RP would revolve around what else but robots vs monsters in a more realistic way of sorts. It all starts in the Bermuda Triangle everyone says the disappearances of planes,ships,and people in the Bermuda is due to aliens,the supernatural,or just a simple weather related accident but it turns out their really was something under the water. An advance species of fish like humans living under the surface who shot down any human craft that caught a glimpse of these creatures. When their waters became polluted with human waster and their people began dying they made themselves known to the humans and attacked. The "merman" after capturing Bermuda with difficulty due to the fact they need water decided to transform sea creatures into monsters to do their dirty work.

Humans then develop robots to combat these things and this is the basic outline of the story. I was wondering who was interested and we can make adjustments to the story as needed.

I was thinking robots such as in Pacific Rim where they are advanced but are in the realm of realism.

I was also thinking all nations would have their own mech some like the US would have a few while nations like Panama may have one.

I know what a Jaeger looks like, Pacific Rim rules! I was just thinking, are we all going to design one in the official designer or could we also just describe it. And also, is the drifting going to be implemented, cause if the drifting is between roleplayers then it's going to get stuck easily when one of the pilots is dropping out.

Well this isn't pacific rim because as you said drifting would be a huge problem. You can make your own robot or find a picture or describe it I don't care with that. The only thing I say to do is don't make it super futuristic these robots are the first of its kind built by humans so they are going to be a little crude.

Of course thanks for joining. Now lets go over monsters and now combat will work now this can all change just a draft.

Monsters

The "Merfolk" have deployed many types of creatures in order to destroy humanity. Humans have developed a way to catalog each of them to better prepare themselves called the Ladger Scale. The scale goes from 1-4 from weakest to strongest each monster being measured by how tall they are and how much damage they cause.

1: Category one monsters( we will change the name later if you have a suggestion tell us) are usually infiltrators able to slip into rivers and attack inland cities. They are however easy to take care of and usually cause little damage.

40-50m tall

2.The most common type and are usually the ones mechs attack they are dangerous and unpredictable. Some are able to go into very large rivers but unlikely.Able to cause serious damage if left alone.

45-60m

3. Extremely dangerous but rare. Mech teams are usually called to deal with them along with support. Single mechs should avoid fighting these things by themselves. Able to destroy cities with ease.

60-80m

4. Only one has been picked up by radar in the Caribbean but hasn't attacked considered behemoths and estimated to be able to ravage whole countries. If encountered mechs need to run.

85-???m

Combat

I was thinking either me or datadogie my Co-GM would RP as the monster when mechs fight them so no biased is showed and would either talk about it on PM or OOC thread on your next move. If anyone has a better way please tell us.

As for the monster names, how about:

1: Infiltrators
2: Brawlers
3: Knights
4: Guardians

That all sounds awesome and are we going to be doing the pairs of pilots or teams rather or is it gundam style where each mech has a single pilot

One person per mech like gundam should be good but teams are good for dealing with the beast.

i was thinking of using Japan and having it be either a gen 2 or 3 mech

Actual with mechs this RP starts in a year after the first attack all their is is Gen 1 and 2( I will go in detail later.)
