But they tell her she will die if she doesnt fight, so she does the best she can, until she can escape via a whole in the wall that her opponent makes by missing, and she runs through it and escapes.

I can't even begin to explain everything wrong with this scenario. I'll respond later. I have a date to get to.

Well the spectators are high in stands, so they cant stop her, her opponent is also a slave, having no desire to chase her, and the guards/ slavemasters are behind closed protections to avoid sustaining injuries from stray attacks.

I tried to do that and it didnt really work too well.

Not if her opponent's underestimated her and she was a prodigy who survived long enough from underestimating to get legitimately good.

She's probably not 100% like earthlings anyways. In one of my story things the main characters were epic even as children although in late teens during the main story. They are human but not from earth.

Also, Important gave me an idea, who says she has to be human?

I would assume the rest of the kingdom. Putting all the guards in one place is highly unlikely. Otherwise you're inviting slaughter.

She doesn't.

In fact, she can be, and be whatever you want. No one is actually gonna stop you from making said character.

Why would the gaurds not gaurding the fight care, she appears as a normal child, and can easily be lost in a crowd, and theyve probably never seen her before.

The main thing is a child will die in an arena against a warrior. Trying to wrap an adult into a child doesnt make sense. If this child had been in an arnea against professional fighters. How can you explain a 5 year old besting a fighter trained to kill?

I actually may make the original character i was planning, as i think qhat i wanted to do with her was misunderstood. But still, reasoning for fighting her is still an issue.

I admit my main characters as children were indeed still overpowered at the time because one of them (10 years before the main story so about 9) jump kicked the face of a giant behemoth and killed him in a single blow despite him being heavily feared among the other warriors.
The story clearly has some anime influences and characters in the multiverse can grow to insane levels of power like dragon ball z although usually on the level of taking on armies by themselves rather than blowing up planets. That being said, if people can be that powerful then it only makes sense they'd be overpowered even as children when put up against normal folk. It's harder to explain in settings where everyone has a more consistent power level, in which case the child wouldn't have much of a chance, if any, unless a prodigy at around 8 or so like I prefer for youngest.

Because, in general, people don't like their property getting away from them. And slaves are generally put under the whole 'try to escape and you die/get tortured' contract. And owners really like enforcing those.

And guards really don't wanna get punished for watching a kid escape.

@Skallagrim I find that many times people underestimate the possibilities and overestimate the impossibilities.

How am I underestimating a trained warrior not killing a 5 year old in combat?

Maybe then she could still be an arena slave, yet treated decently for serving her master well, and her master has common sense, letting his slaves have suficiant nurishment and not beat them for no reason.

I think the point was that once she got out the arena, the guards wouldn't do anything to stop her because they don't know the child is an escaped slave. They're just walking around town doing their normal guard related activities so don't pay a lone child a second glance.
