Writing Level - Casual to Advanced.
This plot is a modern college/high school (whichever my partner and I feel is better suited for our styles) focused story. It will have mature themes, and there will be many references to psychological issues. If you are not okay with that, please don't PM me about this.
I'm looking for someone to play the female in this plot. Doubling is not necessarily needed, but having side characters of your own will help.
Male has issues due to his upbringing. What started as a happy childhood went sour after his mother committed suicide. At the time, he didn't understand why, but it soon became clear. His father was physically and verbally abusive to her, and after his mother's death, the target changed. The father didn't hold back on his son. Many times he went to the hospital, only to have his father come up with different excuses every time. His body isn't covered in scars, but there are some bad ones that he has hidden for some time.
This treatment has caused him to become mistrusting of figures of authority, along with many other issues. Only when he turned fifteen did someone realize that something was wrong with him. The counselor at his high school started casually asking him questions. In doing this, the man uncovers deep problems, but he still hasn't learned the root of these issues. He's suggested a therapist to the boy's father many times, who said that the boy refused to go and talk to. Not knowing better, the counselor began to dig into the boy's personal life. He didn't seem to make many friends, but he did have a couple. They were mostly loners like he was. Some of them came to him for their issues. Maybe he needed a positive influence in his life? Someone to help him get over whatever his issues were.
So pending on whatever you and I decide, this can take place in the Senior year of high school, or early college (Freshman-Sophomore year).
