Trust me she knows exactly what she's doing - it's definately going to take a few tries to disable that huge thing, but eventually it will be out of the damn fight one way or the other.

...Though maybe fighting a destroyer would have been a bit more valid plan if the Guardian would have the full complement of it's weapons.... O_O
