@HylianRose Ha-ha, thank you! ^^ I shan't lie. Being told that I was missed gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. xD
@NarayanK Kinda need a Crash to get that train moving again... xD @FaithsRose But I am beginning to consider it. Thanks for the info!
I'll be reading over what the RP is about now. ^^ A little worried since I can't be as active as I was in the original due to my schedule, but perhaps... These warm welcomes are tempting me quite a bit after all. xD
We're like children. If we recognize something we like, we go apecrackers over it.
You're no exception. XD

Gender: Male Age: 19 Height: 6'1 Weight: 182 Hair color: (Default) Blonde, (Seraphim Mode) Golden Blonde and bears slight luminescence, (Demon Mode) Dark Blonde with streaks of black runnung through it Eye color: (Default) Dark Blue, (Seraphim Form) Golden with white pupils, (Demon Form) Black with blazing red, slitted pupils Skin tone: Light brown-ish tan Figure: Lean and fit, though slightly under fed Race: Nephilim
Powers
Flames of Heaven: Caelus is able to conjure and command the golden fires of heaven, which take the form of golden lighting in his hands. He can make constructs out of it or wield ut directly, and it is used best for smitung foes from mid to long range with pinpoint accuracy and high damage, and while it has some use in CQC, it's not the specialty. Another aspect of this ability is that it inflicts an increase damage against demons, users of dark or unholy magic, basically any thing that isn't either neautral or goid in base nature. (Examples being Demons, Vampires, Necromancers, etc.)
Hellfire Manipulation: Due to the Demonic corruption with in his soul, he's able to use the black and blue fires of hell, which excels in all out destruction at close range. Like with the Divine Lightning, he can choose to wield them directly or form them into constructs, though hellfire constructs tend to be much more crude and volatile. They also can do enhanced damage to beings on the side of light or good, beings such as Angels, Clerics, etc.
Awakening: Caelus can choose to focus on either his Demon or Angelic side in order to increase his control and power with them, but not without a cost. Each side has 3 levels, lf which Caelus can access level one on his angelic side and two on his demon side. The higher the level, the more power he has in that particular ability, as well as a greater risk to his well being and that of those around him. he level he is currently in is indicated by the number of wings or horns he has in the Seraphim and Demon states, respectively, with the number increasing by two for each level, reaching a grand total of either six wings at his highest Seraphim level or Six horns on his highest demon level.
Caelus can also fly in all of his Seraphim forms, but he only fly in his demon form for levels 2 and 3.
Blood of the Seraphim: His mother was a Seraphim, one of the four head angels incharge of governing their realm, and this gives his body special bonuses. His blood, for one, has healing properties in it that not only make him immune to normal diseases, but also can be used to help heal wounds of others as well, euther by having them i gest it(which is nore effective in the long run) or adminstering it directly to the wound(best for when they are near fatal or heavily serious wounds). It can also be distilled into potions as well, so as to make the process less disgusting and morbid. However, his blood is equivalent to poison undead creatures such as zombies and vampires. To Ghosts and spirits, though, it's only mildly painful, and would still have a healing effect on them.
His body is also a bit more resilient to both physical attacks and those that use dark or unholy magics.
Weakness
Lack of Internal balance: Caelus' Angelic and Demon sides are constantly at war with each other, and while he usually is able to handle the strain, there will be moments where it can become too much to for him, causing him to suffer from intense headaches, paranoia, and vivid hallucinations. If it gets severe enough, he may even pass out. This also prevents him from being able to use Hellfire and Divine Lightning at the same time.
Lack of control: Caelus control over his Angelic and Demon sides is delicate held at best and has been broken numerous times before. There have bern times where he is unable to use his Divine Lightning, or worse, he gets hit by intense feedback energy, which can cause a good amount of damage to him. For Hellfire, the consequences are even worse, cause if he loses control of it, his demon side will take over and begin to go on a rampage, burning everything in it's path to ashes until he's able to reclaim the reigns, though it has been rare the times he's been able to do so on his own.
Brash: Caelus is the 'shoot first, ask questions later' type, so he's always a liability in situations where diplomacy is best called for.
Fuk da Police!: Caelus hates authorit figures and people who believe in superiority, and will gladly try to knock them down a peg . . . or three. He's also a teensy bit of an anarchist.
Better at being bad: Caelus is more intuned to his demon side then Angelic one, which leads to him using it more often, increasing the risk of him going berserk
Demon rage: While using his demon powers, Caelus becomes much easier to bait and enrage, his emotions being fueled by the demonic energies, which in turn feed on the emotions to sustain themselves.
Instability: Caelus' powers are too unstable, which means he can't instantly switch between his Divine Lighting use and his hellfire use. It takes him around a minute and a half of concentration in order to make the switch, leaving him vulnerable to attack.
Abomination: Caelus is treated worse by most Angels then other Nephilim due to the sheer fact that not only is he the half-breed child of one of their leaders, a disgrace upon all Angels in their eyes, but he also bears the taint of a demon upon his soul. His presence is likely to be repulsive to all angels, and possibly others of his own kind, for he is the worst of all abominations. He's been the number one target for extermination by the Angels charged with doing so, and they are relentless in their pursuit of him. So much is their hatred for his very existence that anyone caught or throughout to be harboring him will be submitted to the fiery wrath of the heavens.
Personality
Caelus' personality is somewhat chaotic and unstable, almost like he's to people forced into one body. Sometimes he can be exceptionally good at keeping his cool, looking over everything with a calm indifference, sometimes he's a bit of a jackass with a hair trigger temper. Most of the time, however, he's a cold and skeptical, never really liking to stay in one place for too long.
He tends to hide this coldness with a flippant, delinquent-esque attitude, speaking his mind whenever he wants and not giving a fuck about the consequences of his actions. If you talk to him, then you'll likely get a short, curt, but honest answer. Caelus believes in being honest with his opinion, so matter what he says to you, it's always going to be what he really thinks.

"Commonly known as 'Kathy'. Or I used to be, back in the academy."
Basics
Gender: Female
Species/Race: Human
Age: 22 "Has that much time passed already?"
Height: 163 cm (5’ 3”) "I've stopped growing a long time ago."
Weight: 58 kg (127.9 lbs) "... Yes, I've gained a little weight. A little..."
Hair Color: Rust red (dark brownish red)
Eye Color: Brown (with slight tint of red)
Skin Color: Fair
Figure: Average, slightly toned.
Job: Photographer - Specializes in art photography. Most of her work is sold in art galleries, some in books, under the name 'K.E. Argall' (gender undisclosed). The subject of the photos range greatly from beautiful landscapes to active battlefields. "Not only are the photos beautiful, capturing the perfect moment, they are mind-boggling. Some appear to be taken from impossible angles, or on terrain no man can tread." -Anonymous Critic
Powers
Power Name: 1. "Floor Tilting" - The only ability Kathy had back in Athalia Academy. She can walk on any surface that can support her weight. Ignoring the laws of physics (mostly gravity), she redirects the influence of gravity towards the surface she is walking/standing on, enabling her to walk normally on virtually any surface. Anything she can carry with her normal physical strength can also be taken with her (i.e. if she’s holding something, then the object will experience a gravitational pull towards the surface Katherine is walking on instead of towards the actual ground). Further details available on the wiki. "It means I may be the most talented free-runner in the world... But to be honest, everyone's ability was more useful than mine."
2. "Gravity Reduction" - An ability discovered rather recently, during her independent travels. Any object she can lift with her hands (i.e. it is not tethered to the ground, it's a solid object she can actually grasp unlike gas or liquid), she can do so while ignoring its weight. This has nothing to do with superhuman strength, she is simply ignoring the laws of gravity for any object in her hands. Direct contact is needed, so while she would be able to effortlessly swing or push an object around, throwing something beyond her physical capabilities would be near impossible since the second she loses contact with the object, it would plummet right to the ground. "It's why I no longer invest in getting backpacks. It's easier for me to stuff and carry a handbag than to lug a heavy weight on my shoulders and back."
Weaknesses
1. "Mono-tasking" - Her abilities cannot be used simultaneously. She can either redirect her own gravity at her feet, or ignore gravity while lifting something with her hands. Not both at the same time. "Even for me, gravity still only works in one direction. Just, not always towards the Earth's core."
2. "Zero Tolerance for Sourness" - She cannot deal with sour food. It’s to the point where she can’t even drink orange juice without cringing. "Everyone adds sugar to their lemonade... I just have to add a little more than others."
3. "Defying Density" - Despite the fact that the human body is supposedly less dense than water and, therefore by theory, should float... Kathy sinks down to the very bottom of the swimming pool. "I... I don't quite understand why either. I'm pretty good with other sports, but swimming..."
4. "Passive" - She hasn't fixed her tendency to want to run away from problems or conflicts if she can rather than to face them head-on. In fact, it may have gotten worse over the years... "I'm fine with being labelled as a coward. It's... Not entirely wrong, after all."
5. "Mortal" - She is just a human being and lacks the advantages other species may have. "If I didn't have any abilities, I would just be one of several billions."
Personality
Generally a friendly and approachable person, she does have a bad habit of over-thinking things at times. She likes to take things at a leisurely pace and is good at keeping her calm. While she isn't comfortable with conflict of any sort, Kathy tries to help others when she can. She smiles often, enjoys small talk and likes people with a good sense of humour... Or at least, this is how she was when the academy was still standing.
Most of the time it hardly seems like she's changed at all. She greets people with a warm smile and tries to be as helpful as possible for others. However... It's been years since anyone's heard her raise her voice, and while she shows the occasional frown, even her publishing editor (the person she most frequently comes into contact with) can't recall the last time he's seen her cry or show real anger.
Background
History prior to attending Athalia available on the wiki. In the last 4 years, Kathy has been working as an independent photographer. Travelling various nations and taking photographs along the way during her journey. This was possible despite Marcus's control because... Kathy was not one of the students that took a final stand against him to defend Athalia Academy. In fact, she left Lavanya to return to the mortal realm. She was withdrawn just before the fight by her protective parents when they heard news of potential trouble, and only about what happened to the academy several weeks after the remaining students were forced to flee.
It had been against her own wishes, but being under-aged at the time, her parents had more authority and actually went through the rigorous customs themselves to leave Lavanya with her in tow. Already having been sworn to secrecy during their entry into Lavanya, the process was just a little faster for her family as they were all humans 'returning' to the mortal realm. Through immense guilt, she could not bring herself to try to contact anyone or search for a way to return. She wasn't sure what she could say, or how she would be able to face them knowing that her friends had risked their lives to try to protect the academy while she was perfectly safe in the confines of her own home.
Upon reaching legal age, she immediately entered an apprenticeship with a famous photographer and essentially ran away from home. She stayed in contact with her parents, but it was very much against their will and she never returned home again. Now a fully independent professional, she traveled the world as part of her job, never staying in one place. As time passed, an odd pattern began to appear in her photographs. Fans and critics alike praised her for her unique photography; both common and unusual scenes captured at impossible angles and places where no man could possibly tread. At least, not without a unique ability. She kept to a very thin line of the secrecy she had sworn to; she never revealed anything about Lavanya or any of the residents there and only used her abilities when she was sure no one would be present to witness her. However... She used her abilities in secret, and it was evident in the photographs she published. In fact, a large part of her was hoping to be caught. To be 'dragged' back to Lavanya for breaking her oath since she did not know how to get back there herself.
She got her wish. About a year ago, she was detained by the officials of Lavanya and questioned for several months. Further punishment was a possibility, but after much review and consideration they let her off with a strict warning and forbade her from ever returning to the mortal realm without an official overseer present to ensure she would not abuse her abilities again. After much hardship and searching, she learned where the remaining students had fled to... But she could not bring herself to simply go to see them. At the very least, not without a way to make up for her absence 5 years ago.
@Theo, her Gravity Reduction ability would actually let her throw things too the way you laid it out, unless she's involuntarily reducing it's momentum the moment she lets go. If it's weightless when she's holding it, and she swings it before she lets go, it would fly the same whether it's made of Styrofoam or iron.

Er... If you'd like, I'd be more than happy to explain my reasoning over PMs, but I'd rather not spam the entire idea here... Unless the GM and/or co-GM would also like a proper explanation. So shoot me a PM if you'd like to know how it goes but... Do be warned that I'm not very good at keeping things short. xDD

EDIT: So I'm done sending the explanation to chukklehed, so if DP and/or HRose would like to see the explanation as well I can just copy and past the PM over so please let me know if either of you need it!
@Raijinslayer We have another Nephilim character if I remember correctly so it might be wise to make sure both players are on the same page about the lore involved. I can't remember who that was or if the character is even still in this, but I know there was one.
@Theobromine Kathy's good once she gets a background up there, but I'm pretty sure I know it. Still, I'd like to see one so we know what's been going on with her and such. :3

Ha-ha, yeah, I'll just place a link in her background to the wiki if someone wants to read her old history and write in what she was doing in the last 5 years instead. Just so everyone gets a chance to read something new. xP

RIGHT! That would be Dest. So I'd get in touch with her and see if you can both come to an agreement to Nephilim lore and such. And by lore, I don't necessarily mean history so much as mechanics. Such as what a Nephilim is, what happens to them, what powers they have, etc etc.
