The Fantastic Team Fujitora Finally Finishes its Mission!

After his fight ended and he got back to where his team was, Jaakuna had taken a seat between Paneru and Shin. While Paneru would heal his wounds, Jaakuna watched as the fights went on.

First was that bandaged psycho freak. He went up against Gozoboro’s brother, Haichi, who looked quite the opposite of his brother and had the opposite of abilities. He had a large build and even larger hair. He had such strong shades of crimson that ran through his hair, Jaakuna found a bit of humor as he chuckled lightly at the fact that this man had the talent of Lava Release. Jaakuna didn’t think many Lava Release-users were outside of the Land of Earth, but given the nature of this fighting ring, anything would be possible. Jaakuna did fight a four-armed freak who could barely speak.

The fight started like all other fights did: a few rounds of taijutsu. That was until ninjutsu came into play and at that point, Sanguine had gained the upper hand. Even if Haichi didn’t realize until it was too late, Jaakuna knew just by watching it that Sanguine was the real deal. The graceful elegance his movements had and his utilization of his ninjutsu and chakra. Jaakuna hadn’t seen anything quite like it in some time. He was definitely on a whole different level than the Sundance Kid. When the fight came to an end, Jaakuna’s body went cold in a sense. He felt his limbs shaking, not even realizing that Kapora would come out seeing his brother’s body burnt body. The four-armed fighter charged at Sanguine and the latter simply replaced his body when Paneru’s chair, which brought Jaakuna’s shakiness to a speeding halt as his team was not involved in their little spat. In a literal blink of an eye, Sanguine was behind Kapora who hadn’t realized it before it was too late.

Jaakuna watched in horror as Kapora’s head was sliced cleanly off his shoulders by Sanguine’s fire chakra-coated katana. There was so much blood where Kapora’s headless corpse laid. It was like an oozing, thick fosit of water. Jaakuna’s eyes were widened as he couldn’t take his eyes off of Kapora’s body, but that was when something dropped into his lap. Jaakuna looked down and it was Kapora’s head.

”What the--? Jaakuna could only look up as he saw Sanguine who would speak and say that Kapora’s head was a trophy for his first real fight in the pits.

Before Jaakuna could do anything, be it a response or whatever, Sanguine had flickered his body away to his seat as he waited for his next fight to happen. Jaakuna didn’t even move at that point, not for Fujitora’s fight or Shin’s next fight. It was like he was frozen still at the horror that was Sanguine. He truly was afraid of the man and Jaakuna hardly gets afraid of anyone. Maybe worried about some, but never genuinely, truly afraid. However, Sanguine was different. The man was so cold-hearted and Jaakuna could only see darkness emanating from the man.

When Shin’s fight had ended, the announcements for the next round of fights were heard. The balls would call out the next two contestant sand one landed over Sanguine. He just saw the man look as he had most of the time. However, what Jaakuna wasn’t expecting was the second ball to appear over his head. What!? No. This can’t be. No, tell me this isn’t happening.

“Would the participants come to the ring!” The announcer called out.

Jaakuna couldn’t stand. Well, he could, but his mind wasn’t letting him. The moment that Jaakuna had feared had came. He was fighting Sanguine and Jaakuna could feel the fear manifesting itself into his mind, making him freeze in his position. Through whatever miracle it took for Jaakuna to move, he made his way to the ring. That huge feeling of fear still in his mind, Jaakuna would fight as much as his mind would let him.

Sanguine gave a bored yawn as he watched Fujitora blow his opponent away. If he's going to fight in the pits, the least he can do is make a show off it, especially in the finals. Damn addict has no sense of showmanship. He continued to fume over this issue for a while, ignoring most of the next fight as he did so, but his head rose when his turnwas called, and his eyes took on a dastardly gleam as he saw who his opponent was. The poor boy, I can practically smell the fear coming off him in waves. Points for having the bravery to step forward, though, I'll give the kid props for that.

As Sanguine rose, he took notice that the henge he'd cast had fallen away, though it didn't do much except show his true figure. He was skinnier and much less obviously muscled than before, and seemed to have gotten a bit shorter as well, though not by much. He considered reapplying it, but decided against it, seeing as there was no need for it anymore. As he entered the ring, he made a quick handsign under his cloak, before staring Jaakuna right in the eyes. Both combatants would be frozen, one in fear and the in concentration. Jaakuna would be forced to see himself dying numerous, horrible, agonizing deaths, each one more disturbing the last.

After another minute of horrific visions, the boy would be freed by these delusions, though probably not the effect they had on him, as Sanguine released the jutsu and burst forward at high speed to launch a savage barrage of blows to beat down Jaak's defenses before attempting to send him flying into the barrier with a kick. Whether it hit or not, Sanguine would immediately back away from his opponent, wearing an arrogant smirk on his face as if to,say, 'You have no chance against me, so why don'typu just laydown and give up with us. "Now then, let's make this interesting, shall we Sawada-san? If you manage to force me to use any B-Rank or higher jutsu, you get a present. Sounds fun, right?"

Taking a more defensive post, Jaakuna felt as though he could maybe get through this. So far he had managed to win his fight, though even then his victories relied on circumstances. But a glimmer of hope arose in his mind when he saw his menacing opponent enter the field and the barrier forming itself once more. Taking a deep breath, he'd looked up at the bandaged man as the fight started, but he'd only be greeted with visions of atrocities, exactly what he anticipated from that monster. Despite being chuunin, the nervousness Jaakuna was feeling from the premise of this fight was intensified tenfold by the killing intent ability used on him. He had trouble catching his breath from that point.

When he'd finally regain a sense of orientation, the bandaged man was already striking him. The only reaction coming from the blonde dance would be one of submission, no counter attack as he could only tank the hits before being pushed against the barrier. Now on the ground, his body felt paralyzed by fear. He felt like he couldn't do this, that he'd die in unbearable conditions. But his inner will to never give up, fueled by his good friend Shin's demonstrated resilience, made him stand up and resume his stance. "A B rank you say? Pfff, easy. I can even force an A rank!" although his pride was very well vocalized, his body language gave off doubt and worry. An easy thing to detect for predators like the one he was facing.

He'd suddenly dash toward his opponent, throwing in two kunai at his general direction. Both had an explosive tag on them and would either serve as distraction or a way to forcibly move the bandaged man, leaving him vulnerable for a hit. He was readying his own punch to deliver to the man following the kunai, little did the enemy know that he was hiding a kunai behind his sleeve as well. "Take that you freak!"

Sanguine didn't respond to his opponent's confidence for two reasons. Firstly, he didn't feel the need, as he could easily see the boy was quaking in his boots, and secondly, he was in the middle of performing a jutsu. The hand signs were hidden by his cloak, and all Jaakuna could see was the man taking a deep breath, than blowing it out. Unknown to him, Sanguine was releasing a highly explosive gas into the air in front of him, completely undetectable by taste, smell, or sight. Normally this jutsu was used as a trap, but in this instance, he was merely setting up for a bigger attack.

As the kunai came flying towards him, he quickly ran through a short stream of of handsigns, before blasting out a powerful gale of wind in front of him. This would send the kunai hurtling back to Jaakuna, as well as knick the boy off his feet if he continued forward, but more importantly, it funneled the gas he had released into a condensed stream rushing straight towards the boy. Sanguine jumped back to distance himself before he snapped his fingers, causing a spark to ignite the volatile malestrom.

With the added power of not only the Great Wind Breakthrough, but the two explosive tags Jaakuna had so helpfully provided, the explosion would be rather large and intense. Not only that, but it'd also create a wonderful smokescreen to hide Sanguine next move from the most likely disoriented chunin.

Taking advantage of the cover provided, he rushed into launch another barrage of strikes on his foe, this time attempting to end it with grabbing Jaakuna's throat, draining a small portion of his chakra for a moment, before moving to slam him into the ground. However, between these two actions, his concentration and grip would be broken by pain from his back and his right arm(which was the one he was using to grab Jaakuna), the injuries sustained from his last fight screaming in revolt to his actions.

The enemy was exhaling something, but Jaakuna couldn't really see what it was. It didn't matter, the kunai were thrown, only to be pushed back by the great breakthrough. Luckily, the blonde boy didn't make them blow up in the worst possible time but instead let them fly by him while he postured himself to resist the wind blast's influence. The bombs would explode behind him, in sync with the bandaged man's own release of fire from his last jutsu. This left Jaakuna confused, being the average bloke intelligence-wise, but he could escape it quickly enough with the bombs exploding behind him and the wind's scatter of the gas.

Added to his projection, he'd swiftly activated meteor, allowing himself to easily coordinate his movements when in the air while being wrapped with Energy Release chakra. With the smoke cloud present, he couldn't see very much, but neither could his enemy. The bandaged man took advantage of this situation and tried to strike the teen up close, but Sundance was already at his face when he attempted that. Using his enhanced speed and strength, he collided his fist with the bandaged man's, attempting to overpower him. Of course, the Chuunin had the advantage of being able to maneuver himself in various angles without a single worry.

With his fist colliding, he swung the lower half of his body in order to deliver a forward kick to the man's abdomen all the while using his fire capoira strike to release flames with that strike. All in an attempt to push back and damage the enemy a much as possible.

Sanguine's showed no worry for the chunnin's attack, catching Jaakuna's fist in an open palm and intercepting his kick by grabbing his ankle, causing the fire to shot of to the side. It was uncomfortable close, but he could deal with the pain easily enough. Deciding that he'd had enough playing with the boy, and that he was obviously not on his best game, he decided to end this earlier than he had planned. That being said, the boy did deserve a little gift for his efforts. Enhancing his grip with chakra, Sanguine, swung Jaakuna up into the air by his wrist and ankle, then slammed him down savagely into the ground. While he'd usually be worried about counter attack, he was certain that the boy would have a hard time moving, given the extent of his injuries throughout the battle, with his back being one of his weak points. The hit probably would paralyze him pain long enough for Sanguine to grip him by the neck, giving off a devious smile as he siphoned off the boy's chakra. His grip was also tight enough to choke the boy, leaving him unable to call out his surrender.

After he had drained all he could from the boy, he picked him up with a bored expression on his face before taking his head in his other hand and slamming him face first into the ground. He summoned to shadow clones to hold the boy down, one keeping a grip on his throat to keep him from speaking out, then he pulled out a kunai, heating it up with fire chakra as he circled around Jaakuna's figure. Sitting down next to him, his face twisted into an devious smile before twirling it around his finger and jabbing it into the boy's back. He then began to carve up the young Sawada's back in a slow, methodical matter, his shadow clones holding the boy down to keep him from squirming too much or trying to surrender. When he was finished, a mark that everyone would recognize would be emblazoned in all it's bloody glory on the poor boy's back. The mark of the same serial killer that had plagued Konoha's streets 9 years ago, the Daten-shi killer.

"Think of that as something to remember me by, maybe it'll inspire you to get stronger." Sanguine said with a chuckle as he stood up before turning to the referee of the fight. "I hereby forfeit the match, the win goes to the Sawada boy. I'll be taking my leave now." Sanguine said with a bow, his shadow clones disappearing with a puff as he quickly walked out of the arena. If any of the betting man, angry at what they thought was a sure win, came after him into true darkness of the hallways, it'd be the last thing they'd ever do, as their bodies would be found several days later, barely recognizable, in front of the door steps of their families with a neat bow placed on their heads.

Jaakuna laid bare on the ground, devoid of chakra and stamina due to his previous fights and the beat down made by his opponent. He screamed in agony when being carved in the back by the psychopath, but he refused to give up. He couldn't lose so easily, but despite all his struggles, he couldn't get much out of it. After this horrible experience, the bandaged man would finally surrender, to everyone's surprise. Fujitora himself was utterly shocked by this type of behavior. Needless to say, no one had a word to say about it, everyone felt an air of relief once this monster was finally out of the room. Jaakuna, though in normal situations would call out his opponent for being a coward, was both too weak and put rightfully in his place to bad mouth the enemy.

This left Fujitora with his final opponent, the old lady from before. She seemed like a typical nice lady, and she didn't even kill her opponent last round. He was still more than willing to kill her, but she simply rose her hand in the air and surrendered. The room wasn't as shocked as before, it appears all the violence and efforts put into getting this scroll got the better of her and she didn't wish to take part in this ridiculous play any longer. She didn't say one word, and left as the bandaged man did. Her sponsor was out of pawns and couldn't actually threaten her, and as such she didn't lose anything.

This left Fujitora fighting Shin, but considering his mortal wound and the fact that he was in the same team as Fujitora, the commander was declared the winner by default and Paneru the righteous owner of the scroll of Demonic Faces. With this victory, Fujitora didn't express any form of excitement or happiness. He remained professional, only giving a slight wink of encouragement to Paneru as he'd have to care for the two boys who had went through hell and back today. The other sponsors left and the announcer remained to supervise the entire transfer process.

The commander inspected the large scroll for a moment, determining if there were any visible flaws on it. He couldn't say much about it, but it seemed fairly authentic. Removing a typical scroll from his inner pocket, he'd opened it to seal the large scroll into the smaller one (scroll-ception). Leaving a small amount of time to let Paneru heal the wounded, he gave them only two options.

"You've done some good work. I'll leave you two choices: You can come with me and finish the job. Or, you can go to the Utakata hospital a block away from the place we got in."

He'd inform them before walking over to the exit. As he left, he'd walk on a short metallic bridge that would lead directly to an elevator. From there, they'd leave from where they entered and they were ready to leave for Kannabi bridge. Fujitora led the way as was likely the healthiest of the bunch and the more competent one.

After a short travel, the remaining nin would finally see their destination, and it appeared as though team Fujitora would be the last one arriving. Cursing under his breath, he wouldn't be able to patronize his sister this time. However... He did see the Tanpopo girl being her usual eccentric self and zoning out her surroundings a little too much. He was sure she could detect him, but not so sure if she would be paying attention. Jumping high in the air, he'd straighten his body before diving down toward Megumi. Of course, he'd only crash a meter next to her, but the impact of his crash along with his enhanced weight would cause the shock to push her flattened body away and cover her in dust in the process. That way he would teach her to be slacking on the job.

Slowly emerging from the cloud of smoke he had created, his shadow made him look somewhat intimidating as he faced his overly authoritative sister and slowly approached her. When he'd finally reveal himself, Ayame and Tsukiko could immediately notice the low life sunglasses he was wearing and the neckbeard he didn't bother to purge after finishing his mission. He'd toss her the scroll he used to seal the bigger one, he didn't want to have anything else to do with that god forsaken thing. He somewhat regretted taking this job, it was likely the longest out of the four, and possibly the most risky, but Ayame found it suitable that, because of his rank, he'd lead this type of perilous plight.

"Here's the baby. Guess I gotta apologize for being late, but we did come across a hole different dilemma than the initial plan."

He'd say, snickering horribly between words in the second half of his sentence. He wasn't on break, but he sure had enough of appearing overly boring and cold, especially when the kiddies weren't in the grown up talk. Except maybe for Sentou, but her buffet idea would likely be a lot more ridiculous than the initial idea. Shin would be visible at this point (he'd likely be healed enough to come and he isn't a quitter, RIGHT????), and a large scar accompanied with a hole on his shirt would make it quite obvious as to why Fujitora made that joke. Bad taste, but he was one for bad jokes.

"I can assure you... It left us all with a mark in our soul... And for others somewhere else, pahaha!"

He was forcing it here, but then again he kept them alive so making fun of their miseries wasn't all that bad. Plus they always had the possibility to give up so they couldn't complain much about it either. Ayame would however have to reorient the focus of the current job as Fujitora would probably dive into a complete lack of seriousness for the remainder of the mission if he weren't brought back on earth. Those with a strong sense of smell would likely be able to detect the reason as to why this sudden outburst occurred. But even without such a sense, it'd be pretty easy to guess as to why, especially when his gimmick is literally that kind of thing.

Giichi Uzumaki

Giichi tried to hide the light smirk that Megumi's words conjured. He failed for a second or two. Normally such words would have flown over his head but hearing them from her had meant something. It was weird but he liked it.

A little later and Kannabi Bridge had come into view. It was stretched across a small split in the earth, a few dots peppered one end while the other led into a deep wilderness. Giichi floated down with his arms out; a poor excuse for reassurance against falling. As soon as he touched the ground, the slight tremor of his weight sent a shrill sting across his chest.

He hissed between his teeth and petted the slash gingerly. Aahh! Mom is gonna be pissed when I get home,” he told himself.

Blood stained his index and pointer finger-tips. He mindlessly wiped it on his trousers before hurrying over to join the rest. He noticed a red-haired Chunin lounging near the tree, he was sure that guy was someone to stay away from; he looked a bit serious. Besides him, the others were anomalies. He only took notice of those that stuck out. Like the prodigies for instance.

Finding Yamato, Giichi walked over to the small group. A purple haired girl whose stature and aura expressed fun caught his attention first. She was cute; just like her white-haired friend. Even if the hair-color threw him off a bit. Beyond that though, he didn't care much for the others. Not to say he didn't take note of them.

Yamato-senpai,” he greeted, ignoring the searing slash that rested on his chest. Doesn't look like you ran into any trouble on your mission. Rin, Mai, and myself on the other hand ran into some samurai. They were … numerous. Got me pretty good near the end.”

Tsukiko Umene, Honeybadger

Tsukiko didn't have to wait around as the only adult present for long, as soon Team Ayame arrived. The Hokage's Assistant was someone that Tsukiko had found she could get along with. The woman was smart, respectful, and skilled. Maybe not as skilled as Tsukiko, as far as she was concerned, but Ayame more than made up for it with her intelligence. So when she asked for a favor of writing some reports on the chuunin, Tsukiko didn't feel any reason to deny her. "Sure thing," Tsukiko agreed, twirling the scroll in her hand several times. "The mission went off without a hitch. The kids were obnoxious, but I'll save my bitching for the reports."

After their formalities and greetings were given, one of the kids from Team Hideyoshi finally explained what happened with their mission and their team leader's absence. Wordy little shit. He's already boring me to death, Tsukiko thought, eventually losing focus on Saburo's words and completely tuning him out. Once all this is over I'm going to have to take another shower. Do I need to go to the market? I'm pretty sure I have some pork in the freezer. Unless any of those neighborhood brats broke into my house and stole my food again. Maybe I should stop at the market just to be safe... Her inner monologue was finally snapped out when Yamato spoke up. Her earlier irritation with him made the sound of his voice enough to bring her back to the real world.

Tsukiko gave him a quick glare, for no other reason than to confirm he was actually standing next to her, before redirecting her attention to Ayame and taking a less hostile expression. "Megumi? That airhead is probably forcing her team to smell the flowers or something," Tsukiko began to theorize. "Don't know what would be holding up Fujitora though. Maybe he stopped to get high or something..." Sure enough, as they were talking about it, Megumi and her team arrived by air. "Well there's one."

By now the kids had mostly started fooling around. Tsukiko couldn't care less about what they were doing. If they were reading, eating, fighting, making out, she didn't care in the least. The chuunin weren't necessary from this point onward, as far as Tsukiko knew. Their condition was irrelevant to her. But Megumi began to do her weird thing again, and that irritated Tsukiko slightly. She didn't stop the younger woman, but was clearly bothered by Megumi's carefree nature at this moment. But it didn't last long, as Team Fujitora arrived. And Fujitora himself arrived with distinction, being he almost landed on Megumi.

Shin Maru, Topaz

Immediate medical attention from Paneru probably saved Shin's life, but he wouldn't acknowledge the severity of his injuries. He never would. Where normal men would faint or submit to the constant pain, Shin persevered with the straightest face he could make. His effort to maintaining an image of full health took most of his energy. He didn't show any emotion as he watched Jaakuna's fight, which went about as bad as his own fight did, only because he was worried if he lost focus he would succumb to his injuries. Instead he sat oddly stoic, watching the fight without a word. He was glad Jaakuna survived, but he was given a beating.

It was clear that neither Shin nor Jaakuna could possibly go on. Thankfully Fujitora was in good condition and was able to finish the mission. Were we really needed? The jounin commander probably could've done this entire thing himself, judging by looks, Shin wondered, keeping his question to himself rather than directly asking the man. The team began to leave, notably with less enthusiasm than when they arrived. It was at the exit that Fujitora gave them a choice. To go to the hospital or continue with him. Hospital sounds oddly nice right now, but...

"I'm good to keep going, sir," Shin finally spoke, wincing in pain slightly but attempting to mask it with a grin. He was able to stand on his own, after all. Surely he could keep going. "Hospitals are for the sick and dying. I'm neither." With his resolve established, Shin looked to his teammates and gave them a thumbs up too. For appearances, Shin did seem surprisingly well for how devastated his body had been. But it took all his energy not to simply lay down and succumb to the pain. As they traveled to the meeting point, Shin was notably slower than his usual self. He did the best he could to keep up, but with the pain he was in along with his overall exhaustion he simply couldn't match his prime self.

Once Team Fujitora arrived at the bridge, Shin took a moment to catch his breath behind Fujitora. It was only after the jounin commander made a joke about a hole did Shin look up. That's not funny, Shin thought, still keeping a straight face. That's not funny at all. That hurt like hell. Still does. With a grunt of effort he stood upright to his full height, taking a moment to look around and see who had "made it." He didn't expect anyone to die or anything, but this was supposed to be a large meetup from all the teams. It became obvious that Team Fujitora had the hardest time, judging by the relative lack of injuries across the others.

Then Shin began identifying the girls that were present. Sentou was here, which was always nice. Shin wasn't too familiar with Rin, and she was too young and flat to evoke any real reaction out of him. But then he saw that Tsukiko Umene was talking with Ayame Choko. Suddenly the pain in his chest had elevated and a goofy grin came over his face. "Tsukiko-sama!" he called out, rushing forward with his arms outstretched to give her a hug. "It's been so lo-"

The older woman turned around and, without skipping a beat, brought her left boot across and into Shin's face, interrupting him mid-glomp and sending him onto his back several meters away. "Don't fucking touch me," she said simply, before bringing her attention back to the adults. Shin remained on the ground, unmoving. The pain he felt before had returned, along with the new pain on his face. "As expected..."

At the border of the Land of Iron

Agnus Dei X

The teams had been travelling for a while now, towards the border. Ayame had grown slightly agitated at the longer waiting times, but she supposed it was wholly possible the two late teams had gotten hindered at their mission and were late for just that reason. However, in order to be slightly more timely, and not arrive at midnight, the teams had been put on a double speed order - they were to move at a much more rapid pace, with the four jonin at the front to set the pace. Due to that they approached the border much more rapidly than originally anticipated. This was sure to bring them there on time. “Fuji..” Ayame said, softly to not alert the others, although it was highly likeable that Tsukiko had noticed a presence - a very powerful one at that - in the area too. Perhaps even Megumi could've noted this, although Ayame wasn't sure about her abilities in that regard. "I know." the man replied, allowing his bamboo stick to slide down his sleeve and onto his palm. Regardless of the presence the team had to continue until they made themselves known. The person's chakra was leaking all over the place, signalling that this person was much more powerful than your standard fodder shinobi. It also made it impossible to pinpoint where the person was exactly. The chakra was so thick, and so powerful, the chunin might even sense it without sensory capabilities. And given that the jonin had a team of chunin and even genin with them who hadn't experienced powerful shinobi like the one in the area, it was a neccesity to go to the Land of Iron as quickly as possible to shake them off.

They were about to cross a crossroads, following it straight ahead although obviously they were above the crossroads using the branches as a quicker method of transport. It was at this point that Tsukiko likely would've noticed movement to her left, but also to her right. Anyone else trained similarily to Tsukiko in the art of having honed senses would've noticed too, although the sounds were vague and were just vague enough to be mistaken for a rustle of wind passing through leaves, or an animal passing through a path. However things quickly ickly calmed down and the chakra that seeped through the area seemed to dissapear, as well as the sounds. All seemed clear again. Ayame let loose a relieved sigh, wondering if any of the chunin had noticed anything.

Ayame fell down from the branches and landed on the path. It was best if they'd stay on the ground, to make sure that in the case of an attack they'd have free movement and a capability to oversee what was happening without leaves blocking the way. She stopped for a moment and looked around at the area before turning around fully and facing Fujitora, Tsukiko and Megumi. “What do we do?” It was clear she was talking about this chakra pattern that the jonins would've noticed, but she spoke in a hushed tone to ensure that the chunin and genin couldn't hear them.

Following his sister, after all she was the boss of this operation, he stood stoic behind her as this overwhelming presence was making the Jonin commander feel just as uncomfortable as a child staring directly at their closet door in the middle of the night. Something nasty was there, and it felt all too familiar. "... Don't move, I'll...", as he was preparing to use his scattering ability to scout this intimidating area, he was stopped by what was happening right before his eyes. It left him paralyzed in, not fear, but in awe to the sudden milling of leafs in one area. He'd turn to acknowledge their presence and without hesitation readied his bamboo. "Aya."

After warning his sister, he placed the end of his bamboo right over his mouth and blew directly into it. The sound of a discorded trumpet came out of it at first, but the air released into it would allow a small spherical projectile to be fired at the direction of the amassed leafs. The bullet's goal would be to hit whatever was using these leafs as a means of appearing and explode into many shrapnel of enhanced material from his most powerful technique.

Ayame turned just as quickly as Fuji, noting it at pretty much the same speed as he did. “Hai.” she said, stating it rather matter of factly. At the same time as Fujitora, she slid several senbon out of her sleeves - not poisoned, as she'd expended that already - and threw them towards the whirlwind of leaves. Similarily, Megumi and Tsukiko were expected to also have noticed the strange disturbance in leaves and to have attacked it. Likely the chunin and genin would be stranged out by the fact that they seemed to attack air, but it's purpose became clear soon enough.

When the attacks came close to the whirlwind of leaves, a poof of white clouds appeared in the whirlwind, confirming the idea that Fujitora and Ayame had about it. The sound of metal could be heard, like Ayame's senbon hitting their targets. But Ayame had made that mistake again, so she stood ready anyway. When the smoke cleared, it revealed who was there. Or rather, who were there. A giant circular shape, with moss growing on it and vines hanging from it, and a rennaissance-like shoe stepped out of the mass, seemingly unharmed whatsoever from the previous assault. It was Gian, the same joker-like bloke who encountered the two dominant Jonin of the group seven year ago. His clothes were exactly the same, a mix of white, red and gold in an attire one would only see in theatres. He was wearing an opera mask, a weak endeavor to conceal his identity. "The coast is clear, my mistress~" he'd warn the one he was accompanying. As he bowed down to the direction of his 'mistress's' appearance, Ayame could clearly see the mass of senbon she had hurled early, all held in a bundle in his hand.

Meanwhile, the round shape had multiple dark spots of black, what looked like coal or charrings, on it. It seemed to be from Fujitora's attack, but there'd also be remnants of anything the other jonin had thrown at the whirlwind of leaves. Slowly, the round figure went up, the whipvines following it in a trail. The round figure revealed itself to be an umbrella with patches of grass, and even flowers and a small tree sapling growing on it. From the sides whipvines hung. Underneath the umbrella was a very beautiful young lady, although she was dressed in appropiate battle armor for the fight that was seemingly going to erupt. “Thank you, Gian. You're a sweetheart.” she said to her companion while she moved the umbrella to lean on her shoulder. The movement of the umbrella finally revealed the ladies' eyes, which were as white as the eyes of a Hyuga. “How are you, Fujitora, Ayame?” she said, finally acknowledging those in front of her, who she didn't pay attention to at first.

Realizing who it was, he lowered his guard and retreated his baton into his sleeve. Fujitora could only deduce that this would end up like last time if they tried anything, but they also had the youths to think about as well as their own colleagues. If seven years ago they couldn't even get a scratch on these people, it'll be a bloodbath for the others. "Kusaru. What is it that you want?" he said with a deep voice and an expression lacking any form of vulnerability. He didn't consider this as a casual thing anymore, this mission escalated to something they couldn't even control in a matter of seconds. But why were they attacking now of all time?

“That's not a very nice way to greet me.” Kusaru answered, somewhat unhappy that Fujitora had already revealed her name to the chunin and genin. She had preferred to toy around with them a bit longer, but upon hearing the name the team would likely already know who she was. She was somewhat of a famous, but also infamous figure of the shinobi world. The only reason that Fujitora and Ayame weren't attacking right away to get rid of this rogue shinobi, was because Kusaru was way too strong for them. “I had hoped to catch you mid-mission, but I suppose this will do just fine.” she said, looking at the ronin that was being dragged along. She smirked at the sight of it, though her charm made sure it looked more like a cheeky smile than anything else. Her eyes dragged across the group, looking at each person individually. She recognised a few of them from intelligence reports received from Miyoshi, otherwise known as Bravery.

Aoi Don Maquia. Interesting girl. Her hiden was interesting, and she'd proven useful on more than one occasion. She'd be a fine addition, if only to discover the secrets behind her mucus hiden. Ueno Haruka. A bland boy, if anything, but it was just that that made him interesting to Kusaru. Her eyes rested upon him longer than on anyone else, looking seductive as always. He'd be easier to manipulate, perhaps. Yamato Minamoru. The boy was a hard worker, ruthless, sacrificial to the point where it was almost insane. And above all, his father was influential. He'd be a useful asset too although Kusaru would probably see him sacrificing himself earlier than she'd like. The boy was powerful, so that'd be sad. Maybe he'd be a prime candidate for her.. more manipulative techniques. Shin Maru. Not a very.. known boy. Kusaru had read only little bits about him, but he was part of some special part of the Maru clan. He was interesting, if only for that kekkei genkai. And then.. Megumi Tanpopo. An interesting girl, one that was likely very very much susceptible to Kusaru's charms and charisma. Or even the more refined techniques. Besides, she was also useful. Kusaru would make a mental note to ask Bravery to gather more intelligence on that little lady.

She smiled seductively at Ayame and Fujitora. “I just wanted to come here and.. see the two of you. It's nice to also meet your friends.” Ayame would stand by idly, battle ready but somewhat at ease. Her face however said otherwise, as it was very concentrated on the surroundings. She was so concentrated that she didn't even dare move to give the chunin orders, and simply hoped they would understand the situation at hand. “Yes. You've seen us. Is this all, lady Hyuga? We have something to do.” she'd say, although not particularily rude, more like she was trying to dissuade Kusaru and make her go away. Kusaru didn't answer, simply watching idly with her white eyes. It would take a minute before Kusaru would answer. “I wished there was another Hyuga amongst you. We don't have many in Kirigakure, and they are even more scarce outside the villages. Sadly.” The standoff would continue in silence for moments more, waiting for either side to do anything. All Kusaru did was stand idly by, looking at the crew and smiling seductively, charismatically, almost not befitting the dangerous situation.

A sudden sound of metal clanging occured as Gian stood straight once more. Slowly but surely, he took a step forward, passing his supposed leader as if he was confronting the whole group. He lifted his chin in a somewhat cartoony fashion, taking the people before him for lower beings he could arrogantly step over. "Kuku~ Mistress, I feel like a sort of tension in the air! Is it freeball if they cross the line?" he'd ask his mistress, but as he finished talking, a true tension took shape in the air. A different chakra engulfed the area, but advanced shinobi weren't the only ones capable of feeling it, everyone could. Weaker chuunin would feel somewhat uneasy in it, almost nauseous, but not enough ot hinder their performance. Jonin would easily shrug off the feeling, but would come with a new set of worry as this wave of 'tension' evidently wasn't just for show.

Yamato Minamoru, “Young Master”

Yamato had been following at the front of the troupe of chunin, followed up by Aoi and then Nobunaga. Most of the teams had stayed in their original groupings, except for the jonins who would end up at the front near Ayame and Fujitora. He didn't say much anymore, preoccupied with following the last in line of the jonins, which was Megumi. Besides that he was also busy looking around. He'd been interested in the land of Iron for some time, wondering if he could find anything of interest here. Surely it'd be much better living here, in the relative calmth, rather than his house where anyone and anyone seemed capable of breaking in, such as Aoi or Saburo.

However something changed in the air once they reached a certain portion of the forest, almost at the border. It was a.. strange sensation that Yamato hadn't felt before, a sense that said something powerful was nearby. It was confirmed to him, personally, that something was going on when Ayame lowered to the ground, and Fujitora and others followed suit. He didn't say anything to the other chunin though, and pretended that all was fine.

However as soon as the jonins would start attacking a whirlwind of leaves, he knew that something was really up and he rushed forwards, only stopping besides the jonin that was supposedly still in charge of him, Tsukiko. He listened in carefully, standing by in a combat ready position, hearing what the woman had to say. The womans words were calm and peaceful, despite the attacks that had just happened, but Yamato wasn't fooled. The jonins were still on edge, and it seemed that Ayame and Fujitora had dealt with this woman before.

It was only then that it was revealed this woman was actually Kusaru, or otherwise known as the Angel. So her presence was what filled the air with chakra earlier.. she must be incredibly powerful. Not that that would sway Yamato. Almost everyone in Konohagakure would know this woman, and if they didn't, they surely knew once someone said the first few words of an explanation who she was. The woman was incredibly famous, although some would prefer the term infamous.

She continued talking and her words sounded very sweet, and without realising it he lowered his guard a little bit. That was only rectified once that.. strange man next to the Savior stepped forth, and asked if they had freeball in case any of the Konohagakure shinobi would cross the line. A strange sensation filled the air, bringing Yamato a bit off of his piece, but he quickly shrugged it off and raised his fist. Cross the line.. I'll fucking show you the line by shoving your face into it.

“Let me show you how it's done, Tsukiko-chan.” Yamato said, an arrogant and self assured smirk on his face. With his left hand, he's softly push Tsukiko aside by her arm, with his right he'd flick back his wrist and enlighten his hand in flames. “You might be revered as a God by some, Kusaru, the Savior. But I am the only God here.” He'd step forwards, but as his foot sank into the ground, the Jonin commander would attempt to firmly grasp the young man's forearm. "Minamoru, know yo-..." but before he could finish Yamato had already stepped further, evading the grasp without even realising it. Fujitora wasn't going to intervene anymore than that. It was a lost game to him, and if he couldn't stop him now, it wasn't worth the risk afterward.

Yamato continued on his way, flicking back his left wrist by now too and engulfing it in flames. He knew this wouldn't be enough to even scratch her so he also augmented fuuton chakra, augmenting his fire fists even more, causing them to rise up higher and burn a bright blue hot color. He smirked even wider as he approached Kusaru, closing the distance slowly, but then faster as he went on into a light jog, and then a full on sprint. HHHHHHRAAAAAAAAA!! he'd yell as he approached Kusaru closer and closer, and swung his fist wildly in a wide circle at her face, the only part of her that wasn't covered by armor.

Aoi Don Maquia

The mission was nearing its end and Aoi had already made up her mind on how she was going to deal with the upcoming weeks. That would obviously include not working and heading straight for girls night out and similar kind of stuff. That and work in the restaurant, she liked the money way too much to randomly take breaks from it. They returned into their set teams for the mission so Aoi was stuck with the two bores of the century and the wild Jonin of the bunch. At least it kept the clown calm for a little while longer.

All of a sudden, everything stopped and the squads were put in a standstill. Only Ayame and Fujitora Sensei were mobile during this occurrance. The other Jonin acted up too as if they could feel danger coming their way, but Aoi didn't feel anything, or just barely. She wasn't trained in that kind of art yet, so to her she could only rely on a hunch, and given the caliber of their enemies, it would not be enough. When bushes would rattle and the air rise up in tension, she'd finally feel a certain level of uneasiness, prompting her to follow with her team down the branches, remaining behind the leading Jonin.

The little clown remained somewhat oblivious to everything until leaves started to concentrate at one point, which likely caught the attention of everyone. In two specific cases, it caused violent retaliation. Senbons and an explosion, a little extreme in her opinion for a bunch of leaves, but Aoi would find out that they were in reality aiming for two real people appearing out of nowhere from that point. Aoi was obviously surprised but would only be rendered in absolute awe when neither of the Jonin-level attacks actually did anything to the duo. They simply casually blocked them all and proceeded to greet the two leaders as if this was everyday stuff.

The jester guy looked funny, Aoi couldn't take him too seriously but he was definitely some crowd pleaser, a bit like her. However then woman was notably beautiful at first glance, but her voice and eloquence would make the young chuunin blush. She was simply mesmerized by the soothing sounds coming from the young lady's mouth along with her graceful body language and tones. Even with the Jonin being hostile toward her, she couldn't really know if she was truly an enemy or not, after all she didn't attack anyone and seemed calm. Aoi's naive mind and pretty pragmatic though overly simplified views on many issues became apparent in these types of situations.

It would be with Gian's provocations and Yamato's sudden outburst that Aoi would have her bubble being popped and her train of thought being redirected to the true issues at hand.

"Yamato, what the hell?!"

It was all she could say to his barely justified rage. All the woman had done was introduce herself as Kusaru, a famous woman in Konoha Aoi heard about from time to time on TV but never truly realized how much charisma she had. Despite being devoid of political knowledge, Aoi found strange interest in Kusaru at this very moment. But now she knew there was going to be fighting, and taking the initiative was her thing, backing up a few meters behind to approach the other squads, she'd apply her gooey bungee on two specific people: Akio and Daiki. She wasn't sure as to why exactly, possibly due to her recent talk with Akio which affected her subconscious choices and Daiki because she was all too familiar with his fighting style.

She herself applied the bungee from her back to a nearby tree behind her, sticking it near the peak of the wooden being. She'd then focus her attention of spitting random blobs of goo in different places in case there'd be a really bad situation. However she wasn't going to directly engage with so many people in the way (on her side), at least not without a little coordination.

D A I K I.

Why am I charging forwards? Is it my turn to be sacrificed for the mission?”

Uneventful as his rest had been he could feel the universe's hand in the respite now. The flow of the world had shifted as he leapt from tree branch to tree branch. He occasionally dropped low and swung himself to a further away arm in his own attempt of speeding up. When he headed Haruka and Sentou, Daiki scouted ahead of them with jittery, masterful glances.

He sensed nothing out of the ordinary but the feeling in his gut still palpitated.

Just what the hell is going on. I feel as if I'm being stalked … being prepared to be killed. His hands clenched out of apprehension, irritation, and unease. He hoped the others were feeling the same way, cause if they weren't then something seriously wrong with him.

The closer they came to the boarder the thicker the heaviness was. He felt a cautious jerk in his body slow him down but he was quick to pick up speed again. If I'm too fearful to precede than something dangerous is up ahead. A quick glance towards Haruka and Sentou, along with the other Chunin was all it took for him realize his suspicions were correct. The others are feeling it too. Damn, it seems like something is against us. And— His arms trembled. It's too strong.

Once his foot touched the ground with a resounding thump, Daiki managed to overhear a bit of what the Jonin was saying. But it was for naught, for the presence that seemed of a whole-nother caliber appeared. Out the vortex of leaves stepped a jester of sorts. Though he looked liked a mash of royalty and jokes, Daiki sensed something … truly powerful about him. Even more so from the beautiful, pale-eyed woman that accompanied him.

His brows furrowed as he whipped out his scroll and summoned Anemone. Teeth clenched together and showing, Daiki rushed over to Ayame; It was obvious that a hasty fear gripped his heart. But he knew better than to react off of emotions. It could only lead to the most obvious consequence. In this case that was death. For several seconds he focused on the thudding of his sprinting heart. It wasn't until it return to a steady a gait and calm returned to him did he speak.

I won't get in the way, he thought, hand gripping on Anemone's handle tightly. Our best hope now is to go down biting. Make the hassle too much trouble to go through with.

Daiki hid his fear well.

He hmp! at Gian's comment of it being a freeball, then listened with interest at Yamato's words. He agreed wholeheartedly with the rebellious statement, in fact, he felt assured that his next actions were the right ones. If he bowed in fear to Kusaru and Gian, then they'd always hold a leash on him. And he just wouldn't allow that.

While Yamato finished his declaration, Daiki focused his efforts on Gian. Anemone was covered with crimson wind chakra as he activated Crazed Aelous. A furious howl blew throughout the battlefield from the pressurize wind. But that didn't keep him from feeling the subtle touch of Aoi's bungee.

Why am I charging forwards? Is it my turn to be sacrificed for the mission?” he asked himself before backing up Yamato's reckless entry into combat. With a seemingly pointless twirl he snipped off Aoi's bungee and sprinted forwards to meet Gian. The tip of his blade pointed towards his comrades as he formed the seals meant for his next jutsu. Sorry but I can't even trust myself against them, Aoi.

He took in a deep breath and in mid-run summoned a perfect shadow clone. It ran alongside him towards the duo. Daiki came to a halting slide as he approached Gian, swinging Anemone in a diagonal curve towards the jester. His clone leapt off the real Daiki's back and prepared to counterattack or block whatever came next.

Masaki Haruna OLD TESTAMENT

The mission is near over and with the reward from Lord Homage soon, Sentou would buy the latest ninja coins and apply for the Shinobi Alliance Police Academy. It have always been her dream to be part of the SHAPA. The internship from the Uchiha Police was free given that she is the close relative of Seijirou Uchiha the Clan Leader and access to Konoha Police Force would require lots of money for the curriculum which is three years worth of as gold. Sentou smiled while walking along with everyone when suddenly a vehement force of presence emerged out of the blue.

These ninja aren't from around here and they know of Ayame and Fujitora. The danger is obvious enough judging from the powerful malice of chakra from the woman who introduced herself as Kusaru. She is beautiful yet scary, Sentou is stunned by Kusaru's beauty for a while but scratched her head as a resolve to remain alert. This isn't the time to space out but focus on what's happening otherwise things might take a different turn. Just before Sentou could make her move, Yamato without warning attacked Kusaru while Aoi does her usual strategy. Sentou moves with her usual agility, shrouded with lightning aura emitting from both her hands due to Chidori.

Sentou Puts her hands together , "Chidori Gungnir!" And launches it to where Gian is standing. The lightning gungnir erupts to set her off foot.

Akio Tendou

Akio looked up, startled by Aoi's sudden appearance, though that shock quickly gave way to slight annoyance with a twinge of guilt. She had a good idea what Aoi wanted to talk about, Akio's absence at her graduation party. She had considered going, she really had, but in the end she felt it would've been too much for her to handle. So she didn't go, and thought she wouldn't be missed by anyone there, but apparently that wasn't the case. She didn't say anything in response to Aoi, feeling slightly ashamed of her cowardice regarding the matter. She was about to say something, but then they were all on the move again, and again Akio cursed herself for not responding sooner. Hopefully, Aoi would want to hang out and talk later on after the mission.

As they made their way to the border, Akio felt a chill run up her spine as an oppressive chakra seemed to fall over the group. She only had to offer a passing glance at those around her to see that most of them had felt it to. She felt her body grow tense as the feeling continued to persist, but just as soon as it had arrived, it was gone and Akio could breathe easy again. That is, until a whirlwind of leaves blocked off their path. Akio watched as the jonin fired upon the mass of turbulent foliage, but it seemed to do no good as a man dressed in strange garb stepped forwad completely unharmed, followed shortly by a beautiful woman dressed completely in armor. Akio felt her breath catch in her throat as she looked upon the woman, feeling a mixture of awe and fear course through her. She could feel the power radiating off these two, and could tell that no one here was any match for her. The fact that the Jonin did nothing to actively confront this woman was also very telling.

When her identity was revealed to be Kusaru, the Angel, Akio could feel herself break into a cold sweat. She didn't know much about this infamous missing-nin, but what she did know was that this woman was beyond dangerous and so far out of their league that she isn't even a blip on their radar. They were out-matched, and all that it would take would be one idiot to start what would probably equate to a complete massacre. But surely nobody would be so stupid as to-GOD-MOTHER-FUCKING-DAMMIT YAMATO!!!!!

Of course Mr 'I am God' would try to attack one of the most infamous and powerful missing-nin alive head on, and his stupidity had caused someone else to attack the jester as well. She wanted to scream, she wanted to one, she want to curl up into a little ball and wait for death. Instead, however, she simply gave a nod to Aoi as she felt the girl attach a bungie to her back, then ran through a stream of hand seals before she through a brace of shuriken at both Gian and Kusaru, breathing out a stream of fire chakra into them as she did so. The shrunken would come in at an angle, hopefully hitting Kusaru from her right side and Gian from his left. After that, she ran through another stream of hand seals to summon her Thunder Bow, pulling back the string and holding it there as she began to power up a charged bolt. She hoped that her attack would at least help ensure that the two idiots would be able to provide some distraction from the enemies they were facing, though she wasn't too confident about it.

If we survive this, he first thing I'm going to do is sock that arrogant idiot straight in his face and heaven help who ever tries to stop me.

Saburo Uchiha, “Kimyōna”

Saburo was following the trail of Ayame, Fujitora, Megumi and Tsukiko faithfully, without his own jonin as he was still wounded. Saburo wondered if their leader would be able to get back by himself, or would get help from Kumogakure itself. It didn't matter right now, but since there wasn't anything really going on, he figured he could give it some thought. Well, for some time, because soon enough Ayame and Fujitora descended from the branches, indicating that atleast something was going to happen, or something was wrong. Saburo descended too, landing near Akio, between her and Yamato. There was a brief lull in activity as a weird sensation of an overpowering chakra floated through the air, putting Saburo on edge a little bit, although that merely manifested itself through him looking around the area to see where it was coming from. He could notice others were feeling the same about the weird chakra sensation, but as soon as it seemed like there would be something happening, the chakra faded. It seemed whoever was interested in them had lost interest now, probably because they noticed that the team had also noticed their presence. Whatever it was, it was gone now, but that didn't mean the threat was gone. Ayame and Fujitora seemed to think so too, likewise Megumi and Tsukiko, because the team hadn't moved on yet.

As rapidly as the chakra had passed on, Ayame and Fujitora started attacking a whirlwind of leaves that had suddenly appeared. It was easy to say that it seemed useless - it was just a whirlwind of leaves, something that happened naturally at times - but that'd be too easy, and Saburo realized full well that Ayame and Fujitora were not bad shinobi what so ever, meaning that there was more to it than he could discern. Closing his eyes and opening them again, Saburo unveiled his 3 tomoe. With his sharingan, he could tell mid-attack that there was chakra whirling up in the leaves too, so Ayame and Fujitora were spot on most likely.

And sure enough, when the leaves laid down again and the smoke from the attacks sent by Fujitora, which caused smoke to appear due to the explosions coming from his attack, two figures appeared from that smoke. It was Kusaru, the Angel, the Savior, and an unknown henchman. Saburo had heard of this woman before, as the 11th corps had been involved with finding her and getting rid of her, mostly failing at that. This woman was on a whole other level, and it would probably take someone like Zeno Hakarasu to take her down in a one on one combat trial. And even that would be sketchy..

And that henchman, who was he exactly? Something was off about him, appearing unscathed from the smoke of those attacks with senbon in his hands. Did he have a Sharingan, and did he pick off the senbon and grab them out of the air? Unlikely.. was he another incarnate with the rinnegan, and able to use the force fields to guard against the senbon? Judging from his eyes, he wasn't. Well, there wasn't much to see in his eyes, since all there was was a darkness inside the mask, but Saburo was certain if there was a rinnegan he'd have seen it. So then.. what was he? He focussed harder, his eyes flowing all over the man, trying to discern what exactly this 'Gian' was. There wasn't much that Saburo could see, the chakra flowing off of Kusaru and Gian blocking most of his vision with the Sharingan. These individuals.. they were powerful. When Saburo zoned in again and listened to the ongoing conversation (of which Saburo had missed half already) he noticed that Kusaru was being spoken to by Ayame, referring to her as lady Hyuga. And looking at her eyes, the woman was sure enough a wielder of the prominent white eyes of the Hyuga. But there weren't any Hyuga in Kirigakure, as far as Saburo knows. Was this woman someone who had stolen not one, but two byakugan? Kusaru retorted by saying she'd hoped to meet other Hyuga, but never denied being a Hyuga. Was she one, truly, then? The peaceful talks didn't last soon as the jester stepped forwards and asked his mistress if he had free ball if they crossed the line. Saburo looked over to Yamato, who seemed to be the first to speak outside of Ayame and Fujitora.

Yet, Saburo couldn't agree more with Yamato. The boy had a point, that Kusaru was revered as a god. But all gods met their downfall. If anyone knew that, it was Saburo, who was well versed in history and specifically that of the Uchiha. “Yamato-senpai is right. Madara Uchiha was killed before, so we can bring down this woman. If Yamato-senpai attacks, I have no choice but to follow him into battle.” he said to the rest of the chunin, not quite sure of why he said it. They had a free mind and could think for themselves. It seemed that Akio came to the same conclusion, although Saburo wasn't sure of her thoughts. Saburo sprinted forwards past Tsukiko, leaving her behind as he did, before turning to the left and sliding in the dusty road. Locking eyes with Gian, or atleast where he presumed the man's eyes to be, he yelled out as a way to start his technique. “SHARINGAN!” With that, Saburo attempted to trap the man, woman, or whatever it was, in a genjutsu that would slow down the world for Gian, before it'd crumble and leave him standing alone on a small platform, unable to do anything.

Takeshi Ruzuzaki

With Everyone, Border of Iron

"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power."- Lincoln

Takeshi followed behind all of them, he hadn't got a answer from Ayame, it didn't matter to him. His mind was set. Keeping silent while everyone else talked around him as snow gently fell. watching his own breath he became more absent minded as the minutes past, frankly: he lost all interesting in his mission and wanted to head back to the hidden leaf soon. in the corner of his eye he could see Akio, Saburo, Sentou and Yamato all doing their own thing.

"For someone whose goal is to become Hokage, you're calling quits already? Are you afraid scaredycat?" It was Sentou usual jabbing alright...and yet it fitted him perfectly.

'I'm not strong, that whole mind- soul searching is nothing more that the starting line. I am what i was week ago.' but his yellow eye told him something else. "I'm not to get strong being in the hidden leaf...i'll become a Rouge ninja if i have to." As Takeshi's self pity was needed: to get strong, you need to admit your weakness.

But it needed to stop. Feeling a rush of anxiety and fear he quickly landed on the ground. He noticed that everyone else had stopped moving, even the Jounin had noticed something wrong. Takeshi pulled out his balisong knives as readied himself or any signs of attack. However it never happened, but instead a man with...majestic clothing, he was more weirder than Takeshi.

That was a statement.

"The coast is clear, my mistress~" He spoke behind him, which there was no one beside or behind him. Raising an eyebrow, he was getting more fuddled and confused by this dude. Bowing to someone Takeshi could now see the figure of a woman approaching them, as the figure got more clearing Takeshi eye widened at her presence: this woman was none other than Kusaru Tsurenai of the Keihatsu.

"Why on earth is she here, is it a mere coincidence? No...this area and this situation....it's much more than that." Takeshi keep a calm face on as Kusaru started talking to the Jounins of the main group. She was scanning everyone, he could have swore that her eyes lingered on other more than other, Her eyes merely passed over him like a fly.

Gian, who was Kusaru's comrade stepped in front of her as he giggled lightly "Kuku~ Mistress, I feel like a sort of tension in the air! Is it freeball if they cross the line?"

It happened...that same sickness in his stomach returned again, worser than ever. Dropping his balisong knives on pure reaction, he shivered at Gian's pressure on all of them. His mind told him to retreat, urging to do so, his feet dragged backwards before he got a hold on him. "Am i scared....damn right i'm shit scared!" takeshi forced a smile "But this fear....his sensation...this is what it's like to look down on someone huh?" kneeling down and picking up his knives as gripped them like it was his lifeline. "Then....i've got a long road ahead on me....just like an old saying: The first impression is always the best!" While his inner thought were going he saw, Yamato, Sentou, Daiki, Akio and Saburo were all attacking Gian.

Why? They hadn't done anything to them, shaking his head Takeshi decided to back them up.

"Fine then, let's see if this works!" Takeshi quickly looked around at the most tallest tree in the area as he ran towards it before dashing upwards. As he got to the top, he springboarded of the Stalk as he got a bird's eye view over everything. Closing his eyes as slowly performed his hand signs before he got right above Gian as everyone was attacking him. "This is my first step to becoming strong!"

"Katon Hidora no Jutsu (Fire Release: Hydra Technique)!" Takeshi filled himself with power before spew out three large Hydras made of fire, hissing with the fire that danced on them they all charged at the masked man, Takeshi took out his right Balisong knife, it was attached to a long wire at the end. lassoing a few times as threw it at a nearby tree as he grappled his way towards it and landed safely. Calming his breathing he charged him Chakra that remained to fired himself up. He saw that he was on the right side of the battlefield, allowing him to think quick. "It's stupid, but it may catch him off guard." Gripping his knives, he channeled his energy to them, quickly igniting on fire. Skidding down the tree he was standing on, he kept an eye on any movements before lining himself from the ground and Gian's midsection. Bending his knees he threw his left knife at high speed towards Gian before doing a 180 and cutting the tree that was lined up with Gian. Moving out of the tree that was falling he glared at Kusaru.

By now everyone would have heard the tree falling and moved out of the way.

"I'm not good on the front lines...not as i am now, i'll leave it to the other. Like Akio i'll support from the distance!" He got ready for anything that that Gian and Kusaru as in store for them. It was time to trust the other and hopefully they would trust him to do this job.

Tsukiko Umene, Honeybadger

Once everyone had gathered, all the teams moved onwards to the border of the Land of Iron. It wasn't long, however, before Tsukiko could feel something was amiss. Soon after it began to bother her, both Fujitora and Ayame showed signs of detecting it. Clearly this wasn't her imagination at this point, further solidified when Tsukiko could plainly detect the chakra. "Great," Tsukiko muttered under her breath. She took a moment to subtly sniff the air, the concentrated effort allowing her to smell the presence of two newcomers. Ayame and Fujitora were already on point, but Tsukiko was paying attention to their flanks. There was movement, fast movement, on both sides.

The two intruders backed off and the jounin regrouped on the road below. Ayame was the first to acknowledge what just happened, inquiring what to do. "They didn't leave," Tsukiko updated, just to ensure the other jounin would know even if they couldn't sense them like herself. Megumi was also adept at sensing so she was possibly aware of this already too. Before Fujitora could prepare to scout the area, the owners of the powerful chakra signatures decided to show themselves. Ayame and Fujitora were quick to attack the swirling leaves, but so was Tsukiko.

The wild woman threw two quick volleys of shuriken, rotating completely around to keep her momentum and provide maximum speed and power. But it was for naught, as all the attacks seemed completely ineffective. Once they were visible, Tsukiko crouched down and placed her left hand on the ground. From this position she would be able to do several things, including fleeing. She recognized Kusaru by sight and deduced who Gian was by reports from the past, as he was always by her side. Both are kill targets, Tsukiko thought, keeping her eyes on the intruders without blinking. I'm not in a good enough position to take them on. None of us are. Gonna have to prioritize here...

Kusaru was intent on conversing with Ayame and Fujitora, something that immediately seemed suspicious to Tsukiko. Her gaze shifted to her superiors, who both seemed to want nothing to do with this woman. For good reason. The hell do they want here? Nobody in their right minds are just gonna pop up in front of a small battalion of shinobi without a good cause. Something worth the risk... I don't think it's our lives, but they want something here. Before she could contemplate it further, Gian decided to run his mouth in a condescending and threatening tone. That kind of attitude was annoying, but Tsukiko wasn't bothered much more than just becoming even more alert.

But it was the reactions of the kids that got a rise out of Tsukiko. Yamato, of course, was the first to charge towards the man (notably after daring to put his hand on Tsukiko's arm). "You fucking moron," Tsukiko barked through gritted teeth. Picking a fight with them before we can make a plan could get more than just you killed, asshole, Tsukiko thought as she dashed forward after Yamato. She noticed from the corner of her eyes that other kids were starting to attack as well. Fucking brats! Tsukiko's rage-induced scowl was evident as she withdrew some ninja wire from her pouches.

Yamato's hands were covered in blue fire, so it was a bad idea to try to restrain him the old fashioned way. Sure, Tsukiko knew she could do it. But she'd also suffer from insane burns. Instead of tackling Yamato when she caught up with him, she instead passed him and cut across between him and Kusaru. This would probably surprise Yamato, seeing Tsukiko cross his vision without any warning, but he would be especially surprised once Tsukiko was behind him again. Having run a complete circle around Yamato, Tsukiko gripped the wires tightly and yanked backwards. Several lines of wire tightened around Yamato from the front, an attempt at locking his arms to his side to abruptly halt his advance on Kusaru.

Tsukiko crossed her arms, to both tighten the wire on Yamato and to make it more difficult for him to squirm free. And if that worked she would proceed to firmly plant her feet on the ground and yank both backwards and down. This would effectively put Yamato on his butt (or his back if he doesn't resist) just over a meter away from Kusaru and Gian. "Be thankful I didn't kill you..." Tsukiko muttered under her breath. Now she had to make another decision. If she let go of the wire to stop the next kid, Daiki, from attacking, Yamato would have nothing stopping him from getting free and trying to attack again.

It was impossible for Tsukiko to stop all the kids at once. A growl escaped her as her anger began to rise. "For fuck's sake..."

Shin Maru, Topaz

The situation that began to fold was unfavorable to Shin, to say the least. I can't fight if we're being ambushed, Shin thought, gripping his chest in pain as his heart rate began to rise. He could feel the power from Kusaru and Gian, and if he couldn't feel it himself he could tell by the hesitation of four jounin that these two weren't to be messed with. Any normal goons would've been ripped apart on sight, so that alone spoke volumes of their competence.

The armored woman took a moment to look at Shin specifically, something he noticed immediately. Why is she looking at me? What does she want with me? Shin locked eyes with her but didn't move, doing his best he could to keep from blushing. Then again, he was actually on the pale side from blood loss so he didn't have to worry about blushing so much. She's definitely a looker. But the last good looking woman I let my guard down against put a hole in my chest... He gulped back some fear, not knowing what they wanted or what they could do. All he knew was that he had to rely on the others for safety if a fight broke out.

Which it did. Yamato led the charge and was joined by several others. "Wait, the jounin didn't attack for a reason," Shin noted aloud, hoping that others would hear him and would consider that before joining in. They had strength in numbers, but surely the jounin had accounted for that already. That was why they hadn't acted yet. Only now action was being forced upon them. I can't fight in this condition at all... This is going to go very bad for us...

Jaakuna Sawada, The Sundance Kid; Rin Reikan, The Little Ice Minx

Even though he was mostly healed physically, Jaakuna was far from okay. He had little to no chakra left in his reserves and it was taking all he had just to keep a steady walk. On his mind was the face of the Bandaged Name known as Sanguine, the man that stripped him of a legitimate win and the man that surrendered just to rub the fact in Jaakuna’s face that he was miles ahead of him. It made the Sundance Kid sick to his stomach. He felt pathetic.

And then they were at a fork in the road.

”What Shin said. I‘m not dying yet, so I don‘t need the hospital.” Jaakuna was lying, but he wasn’t about to abandon the mission right when It was near its completion. With that, the team would traverse through the village and to the meeting point as Fujitora led them.

Everyone seemed to have already arrived. The teams of Chunin and Genin were present and then came the arrival of an odd-looking duo. There was a female who had eyes as white as snow and some clown dude. And here I thought Aoi was the only clown around, Jaakuna looked on with a cautious look on his face. He didn’t know if they were friend or foe, but he would simply wait and see.

It was obvious to anyone with at least ten percent of a brain that the two in front of all of them was someone who seemed familiar to Ayame and Fujitora as seen and heard by the female addressing Ayame and Fujitora directly.

There were a few rounds of words between the only two duos of jounin-level female-male duos, but something that caused a bit of a response from one of the genin was the mentioning of Kirigakure.

“You two are from The Hidden Mist Village?” Said Rin, her voice more of worry rather than curiosity.

Jaakuna’s head slightly turned to Rin as he wondered why she would ask such a dumb question. Perhaps it was because her clan migrated from Kiri around 220 years ago. It still made him curious after the fact.

Jaakuna couldn’t be bothered to focus solely on that as new developments were happening, specifically when Yamato rushed in for an attack. That’s when all hell broke loose. However, it wouldn’t last long as Tsukiko would quickly subdue Yamato’s brash and impulsive action, but as for the rest attacking, she couldn’t do anything and neither could Jaakuna. Rin, on the other hand, she would be free to attack if that’s what she wished, but the Little Ice Minx wasn’t budging an inch.

The sinking of the stomach. Dread butterflies fluttering chilly gales inside the chest. Breathing shallow, irregular. The heart's beating: audible, wild, rapid. Pupils dilating, beads of sweat forming upon the brow. The slow metamorphosis of shock and surprise into icy cold fear, colder than the North Wind.

Raging anger. The seething of blood, the bubbling of tension under the skin. It burns white-hot inside. Anger. Irritation.

This is how it feels to be Ueno Haruka right now.

Tsurenai Kusaru. S-rank. Kill on sight. He remembers the bingo books. He remembers how dangerous she is supposed to be. And she's standing right there, in front of them. He takes a single step back. His eyes don't leave the duo. Why are they here? What do they want with his group? It is fear that has overtaken him. A fear that has him tense, fingers twitching for his weapons. He doesn't want to fight. They don't seem like they want to fight. He wants to speak, but he can't. He doesn't know if they can even defeat Kusaru if a fight broke out.

That mystery is the danger.

To lead uninstructed people to war is to throw them away.

And then Yamato strikes anyway.

Fear gives way to anger.

Irritation, mostly, as well as panic, and Haruka cannot help but swear quietly to himself as the group is thrown into the fray of battle, as more join Yamato in combatting the duo of dangerous ninja. It is uncoordinated, unplanned and absolutely unacceptable to what had been his optimal scenario. He had not wanted a fight. Especially against these foes.

He thinks that they're all going to die.

He really hates his life right now.

This is how it feels to be Ueno Haruka.

This is how it feels to be frozen immobile and cursing the world.

Nobunaga Inuzuka

Gian and Kusaru were antagonizing the group, especially Yamato. The pressure exerted upon them all could make one below jounin feel weak and fall to their knees. Nobunaga hated the feeling more then anyone here. Oichi couldn't handle it, dropping to her paws as though the pressure was affecting her smaller body worst then the humans. Seeing Oichi fall did bring a spark of anger to him but Nobunaga figured in his mind that attacking the Missing-nin would not work. They were superior to most people here. Using his senses to pick out the numbers, there would be too many casualties on their own side. Unfortunately others didn't feel that way, namely Yamato and Daiki who spurred on a few other chunnin to start an assault against the Missing-nin.

"I won't stoop to this but I can't watch them die." Nobunaga muttered to himself, pulling himself apart to just stand and watch or back them up. In that moment a few other chunin and jounin decided to stop the reckless individuals from causing more trouble then was needed. With Tsukiko holding back Yamato, Daiki was already on the move. "Damn it." Nobunaga cursed at himself before taking a step almost instinctively. Chakra flared up around his body and his speed increased exponentially. He had to be faster than Daiki if he wanted to stop him. His heart pounded and his mind raced. Could he stop the young chunin in time? The key moment was but a flash. Nobunaga stood in front of Daiki, metal clang together as Nobunaga used his sword in sheath to block Daiki's own blade.

"Stop this. Tsukiko and the others have stopped. Don't force me to go farther. Right now is not the time to fight. Please?" Nobunaga stared in Daiki's eyes as he spoke.

Kusaru the Angel? Tensions rise!

Sounds of scrap metal cracking could be heard by Kusaru as Gian smirked before the desperate attempt of the Minamoru child to assault them, followed by an incease in general hostility from the remaining members of the party. All it took was a few words and they were all disorganized and initimidated, ready to be slaughtered with all the openings they gave. "Mistress, freeball?" he asked so politely, as if he had all the time in the world to take care of these imbeciles. He was indeed scrutinizing every one of them, and of course noticed mixed reactions, a great discord that would easily allow them to slaughter many with little effort and leaving the rest to face their wrath.

Kusaru watched with joy in her eye as the Minamoru kid stepped forward. This was exactly what she had read about him, and more. Bravery could not have done a finer job on him. Because of this she extended her right hand towards Gian and put it over his chest, to hold him back with that gesture. “Just make sure you don't get harmed yourself. I want to know just what the Young Master can do.” As soon as she'd said that she would look around the group of jonins, chunin and, strangely enough, genins. It seemed that the crowd favored attacking Gian. Did they assume him to be the leader? Thinking about it, a small laugh came from Kusaru's mouth and she decided to play along with it. “Master Gian, please stop them from harming you. I wouldn't know what to do if you got injured, or worse, killed! she said with the most girly voice she could muster. She looked at her companion and winked at him, before adding something else. While doing so she swung her umbrella away from her left shoulder, folded it in with a swift movement and put the end in the ground with a soft thud. “But please, my feminine brain can't take the sight of blood, go easy on them, oh master Gian. I will take a look at the Young Master, and see if he is as gentle as they say he is.” Her voice was, at this point, no longer feminine and instead took a more serious tone as she looked with furrowed eyes at the approaching chunin, eyeing his technique and whatever else she could look at.

Almost mechanically, the mistress' right hand would remain highly on guard toward any threat coming their way all the while maintaining a social conversation with her. The fastest attack thrown at them in this quick lapse of time would be the multiple heated projectiles thrown by the white haired female supported by another girl with a peculiar attire he found rather interesting. Nonetheless, the boss didn't want blood, which probably included her own, and as such, he'd wave his left arm from left to right in order to slap away a few of the shuriken (since Kusaru was right next to him), but must of them would penetrated his arm. Those nearby would hear the blades clash with a metal surface, as if he was wearing armor. His arm wouldn't get on fire and neither would the fabric he was wearing, the flaming shuriken penetrated and didn't come out, as if they were stuck inside.

However the reality of things would be that, even if Gian manifested absolutely no reaction to being stabbed nor real damage effects, some would notice three knives randomly flinging out of his forearm's sleeve and landing near him. All the while, his arm would bend in bizarre manners, almost as if he had lost control over it and went into a seizure-like state, but it lasted for a few seconds. His fingers however would remain bent and stiff for a little longer, forcing him to twist his arm with a couple of strong strokes before things would be restored normaly."Heh heh heh, at least there isn't blood."

Gian remained rather laid back, but all the while acknowledged the multiple frontal attacks and aerial endeavors. His other, non-spastic hand would suddenly have the mass of shuriken that stabbed him slide off his sleeve and were fielded by his fingers. He was ready to counter them, but in a graceful event of luck, the diverging views of the other half of fighters would cause them to literally counter the previous strikes. He could determine by most of their body languages that they were targeting specific threats left aside by others who already had their hands full. Chuckling in malice, he realized that they weren't entirely delluded after all, and some were willing to leave themselves wide open for slaughter just to lower their chances of conflict.

There would be a vague attempt at genjutsu, but all Saburo would see was a hollow reaction that reflected the inhumane nothingness that seemed to compose this man. In retaliation, he received a rather powerful killing intent, devoid of gore or atrocities, but a very clear vision as to various ways he could kill Saburo this instant while this chaos was happening.

Everything was stopped except for the gathering of energy under Gian's feet. An electrical attack, something one would have trouble to detect without specific qualities. But strangely enough, the instant the Gungnir formed, the jester made a small bounce forward, landing swiftly on the tip of his toes as he got dangerously close to Daiki and Yamato, which would thus include Tuskiko and Nobunaga. He walked up to them, slowly, but made it clear with his body language that he wasn't preparing to assault them.

"Kuku, it's strange how a few words can have grave consequences over the lives of many. Heh, heh, heh. Good thing we've handled most of those bad influences, aye Yamato-Chan?" his tormenting and condescending grin coupled with an unnerving cackle he accompanied with each of his sentences were fuel to heating up the dormant flames within Yamato. He bent over to get to Yamato's level. "Place your bets, do you think there are any Minamoru killers standing here?"

Ayame was standing at the back, a stone cold expression on her face as she watched the events unfold in front of her. There was nothing she wanted to do, or could do. There were various reasons for that, amongst others that Kusaru and Gian were more than capable of killing Ayame personally. And she knew it. However she also knew Kusaru, atleast a little bit, and aside from Gian, Kusaru probably wasn't here to harm any of them. More so.. check up on Ayame and Fujitora. And apparently, their team too.

Wielding his bamboo stick firmly, he couldn't do much about the situation, especially with his sister's perpetual silence. She was the smarter one, and thus if she were to be left silenced, it was a pretty obvious sign that intervention wasn't the best option yet. However unlike her, he could study his opponents in a much more efficient manner and possibly anticipate the outcome of their actions. As of now, they were strangely passive, just as they were seven years back. Back then, they didn't try to kill nor manifest any form of bloodlust. The provocations, they were probably a way to stirr more chaos in the group and insure total victory if things completely exploded. They wouldn't even have to kill anyone as most would hurt each other.

Meanwhile, Yamato had been in his charge forwards, oblivious to the fact that Tsukiko was actually working against him. He pulled back a fist to swing at Kusaru, closing in and reaching the two meter mark, at which point Kusaru would start feeling the approaching heat that emanated from his fists. However he'd never connect, as his remaining fist, and also the rest of his body, got entangled by chakra wire by Tsukiko whom briefly popped up in Yamato's sights before vanishing again. By the time he realized what was going on he was already stopped. He turned his head and noticed Tsukiko standing behind him, and saw she was preparing to pull back. So he did the only thing he reckoned he could do at this point, which was putting his feet into the ground and resisting the pull. Doing that he managed to stay on his feet, and not only that, also staying on his current position. However by that time the rest of the fight had mostly been stopped already, and Gian was approaching, leaving Yamato with barely any time to voice his annoyance at Tsukiko. Be grateful I didn't burn your arm, bitch.. he said to Tsukiko softly, attempting to not do so within earshot of Tsukiko herself, however her heightened senses would likely lead to her hearing it anyway.

For Yamato it was lucky that he didn't get pulled back, however, as his one free fist was still lit up with fire. As such all he had to do was grab a hold of the chakra wires holding him and snap them using the fire. He moved his hand back and grabbed the bundle of chakra wire, with the fire causing it to melt and snap, freeing him from Tsukiko's annoying grasp. Following that, Yamato turned to Gian. He wasn't stupid enough to attack (just yet) with the rest of the fighting stopped, but Gian's attitude was already bothering him. You are just as annoying as our own clown, Aoi.. I should ki- he would say, both his fists right away once more engulfed in flames, preparing to punch Gian square in the face, however he would never get to that as a loud, feminine voice interrupted. Gian, although ready to dodge, had his body seem a lot less fluid and agile once the flames erected and heat engulfed the nearby area. He took a step back, but his upper body shook as if he were shivering. His expression didn't show fear, nor did his actions other than this bizarre reflex. He was still going to dodge, but everything stopped with Kusaru's intervention.

“Yamato Minamoru, thank you for your demonstration. The rest of you, you also did some nice work.” she said, sounding awkwardly like a proctor at a chunin exam. Her umbrella was still in the ground with ther umbrella was still in the ground with the tip, not having moved ever since the 'combat' started. The most exciting thing that happened was Gian being hit by shuriken and, thus, randomly sending out knives from his hand. Nothing more than that really seemed to have happened. Her words interrupted Gian and Yamato's little conversation, which quite frankly, was bothering Kusaru too. More so at Gian, than Yamato. “Gian, I told you to only make sure you didn't get hurt. The Young Master wasn't a threat to you. You're being overzealous.” she spoke calmly to Gian, voicing her annoyance a little bit in that.

Gian cracked his neck, keeping a close fixation on Yamato's gaze. There was something about that kid that motivated Gian to mess with him, going as far as risking his safety. Kusaru put him back in his place however, prompting the masked man to jump back to his original position. His feet both collided against the charred ground the Chidori attacked had incinterated. He bowed in apology to his master before confering his full attention to her.

As soon as order had been restored, Kusaru figured it was about time for a speech. Not so much a speech, perhaps, but it was quite clear that the crowd was looking for a reason Kusaru was here. She did appear in the bingo books, so it made sense. She would wonder about the sudden appearance of a S-ranked missing nin too, if she were a chunin. “I'm Kusaru.” she opened and smiled at the crowd in front of her. It was obvious she was Kusaru, but she figured it was the only introduction that made sense. “I'm a.. friend.. of Konoha. Though I don't think Konohagakure is aware of that.” she said, looking intently at the group ahead of her. “I'm also your friend, if you want me to be. You just need to allow me.”

Her words would sound somewhat enchanting, although that was just her charisma and not a result of any genjutsu or anything of the sorts - the words were meaningless if you were not trusting of the woman, like Daiki and Yamato. “Furthermore.. even if you allow me to be your friend. You are expected to kill me, by your Hokage. I... can't say that's his fault. Just know I have the best interests of Konoha, no, the entire shinobi world in my heart.” She sounded truthful, and definetely believed in her own words. She couldn't speak for the others, and she realized that. And she believed they were free to judge for themselves how to interpret her words and what to do with it. Never the less she continued. “The world has become less hospitable for shinobi. Once we were the police force, the armies, we were everything that the world needed. Now.. we are trash of society. There are a handful of clans that still hold true to the values of shinobi-hood. Hyuga. Uchiha. Naito. Choko.. Minamoru. Sawada. Uzumaki. Maru. Your families protect the sacred livelihood of Shinobi, and I think we can have no doubts that your families are in part to thank that we still exist.” She would obviously name people whose families were all still very much so involved with shinobi-hood. Long lines of family members joining the shinobi forces. Strangely enough the Choko siblings were listed as well, despite the fact that their parents were non-shinobi, and they were the first of their bloodline to become shinobi.

“And, perhaps, it is also a good idea to thank new blood, like all the others in your friends group. They may not be from long lines of shinobi.. but certainly, they are shinobi, and they keep the trade intact. I mean you, Akio Tendou, Haruka Ueno, Takeshi Hanami, Aoi Don Maquia.” Now she'd be referring to people who might come from small families, who didn't have the ability to offer manpower up for grabs for the hokage. Kusaru looked each of the three in the eyes, making sure to appear sincere. The question if this was truthfully sincere, or a ploy, was a question that went unanswered.

“I hope you can understand a change in the world is neccesary to return us to the stature of old times - of times like Madara Uchiha, Pain of the Six Paths, Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Shinobi deserve to be the most important class in any country, in any village. They put their lifes on the line, after all, and wield destructive capabilities. How can we expect them to wield that power with care if we treat them like dirt?” She'd be referring to the lower standard of living conditions for the shinobi that came ever since the arrival of new technologies that made them more and more obsolete. It was something that every single shinobi now had to contend with, even if these chunin in front of her didn't currently realize it due to their parents paying for many of their things. They would learn in time if they hadn't already. “.. of course, things will need to change in world wide perspective, too. A change not everyone wants. That's why I have created the Keihatsu, the Enlightened. We will change the world and return the cycle that we, shinobi, need to thrive. But we will start in Kumogakure. Be on the lookout for news of change - then you will know. We will clean up the dirt from Konohagakure too, lest you do it yourself before we arrive.. understood?”

As she was speaking, from the corner of her eye she noticed the previously unconscious man that the shinobi had been dragging along was now attempting to escape by crawling away slowly, out of sight of all the others. “As a show of good faith.. Gian.” she'd say, not giving away just what this show of good faith would be, but it'd become apparent soon enough.

"Of course." with those words, the Keihatsu member launched himself to the direction of the crawling man. He didn't seem to jump, but his feet weren't touching the ground as he darted directly toward the incapaciated man. Gian's being would create a small gust of wind as he passed by the group. When his figure become parallel to the Ronin's, he'd stab two of the Shuriken he received earlier into the man's hands, followed by two more into his feet, safely pinning him down. He'd be seen standing on the immobilized Ronin, facing the direction of Kusaru, arms crossed as if he was proud of what he had just done. "Minimal blood, mistress." Kusaru didn't want to stay that much longer as they had overextended their stay already. She simply nodded at Gian and then faced Ayame and Fujitora again, opening her mouth to speak but cutting herself short. Instead, she simply smiled, realizing that she had already explained more than she should've. It was sure she enjoyed the company of those around her, even if they did attempt to attack her and her companion. Well, to be true, Gian had kind of warranted an attack. Before leaving again she would look at Daiki, speaking to him personally. “For a member of a clan that feuded with the Minamoru, you were quick to set aside your differences with the Young Master, and follow his lead. That's commendable. Gian, let's go.” she said, looking at Daiki with a smile, before turning around and walking onto the road, a whirlwind of leaves surrounding her again before flowing away and revealing that Kusaru had indeed dissapeared. Gian waved goodbye, but to Akio in particular, with his left hand. With a pretty casual grin, he vanished the same way Kusaru did, leaving the white haired girl to interpret what this meant.

With the vanishing of what they could only qualify as a menace, Fujitora glanced over at his sister without saying a word. His blank expression slowly morphing into one of worry was enough to notify Ayame of what he was thinking of this very instant. Retreating his stick back from which it came, he could at least relax, knowing full well as of this point they weren't at risk if Kusaru had indeed left the scene. He translated his relaxed state with a typical smoke he'd light up. Ayame reacted similarily, although not as relaxed as Fujitora. She simply stood at ease, surveying the area aroud her, attempting to appear cool headed as she always was. In truth, this meeting had been a bit scary for her, likewise for Fujitora. “I suppose we should rest up a bit after that, and we can continue with the delivery of that man, tomorrow. Make camp, everyone.”

Aoi Don Maquia

Her two bound teammates were not going to back down either from what she could tell with Daiki's immediate response being the manifestation of Animone. But before he'd launch himself into the lion's den, he swiftly severed himself from the bungee, promptly angering Aoi as she could only see it as an act of blatant stupidity when fighting world famous criminals. Has his pride taken over his sentience altogether? She didn't know what the heck was wrong with him, but she could only voice her concern at this point.

"You idiot! You'll die!"

She shouted at him, in vain of course, but now she was left with one filament linking her to Akio. At least she had the right idea to keep some distance and utilize this sudden tactic to her advantage even if attacking them wouldn't be the smartest thing in general. In any case, she was tagged with the young Tendou to handle the situation. However it quickly escalated to a counter attack from their very own people in order to prevent any more fighting. Akio's attacking being the only one having some impact in the field and some how hitting the one known as Gian. It didn't change much however as the situation quickly deteriorated in a stalemate not many knew how to react to, including Aoi. She'd place her hand on Akio's, imploring her friend to avoid using any of her ninjutsu when their colleagues were all running about in the midst of it all.

There were threats from Gian, but they'd be quickly cut off by Kusaru's dominant voice as she started her longing speech. Aoi was still strongly influenced by it, her cheeks reddened when the avid spokeswoman mentioned that they, personally, were her friend even if they weren't supposed to be. Aoi felt somewhat touched by this, as if this had indeed hit a personal level and concerned her more than anything else. The butterflies running in her abdomen would only intensify when her name would be directly cited by Kusaru. She was supposed to be scared by the woman, especially if she knew the clown's name, but she could only be in awe. She wasn't completely hypnotized, but the way she put her words made her sound more righteous than what many social medias say these days in Konoha.

She'd only snap out of it when Gian had cut off the soothing air going on and immediately struck the crawling Ronin. He was too silent for anyone to notice him right away, but Kusaru's angle made it quite easy for her to make the remark of his escape and send Gian to do the job for them, apparently under the guise of a mutual friendship she was trying to obtain. They left, with Kusaru leaving some final words aimed toward Daiki, something she barely understood since it involved clan stuff. This prompted a sigh of relief from Aoi, a loud and prolonged sigh everyone could hear. She felt like some weight was taken off her, all these ideas and these tensions were messing with her little head. It would also be only now that she unknowingly kept her hand tightly on Akio's, something she didn't notice notice in the midst of the adrenaline filled moment they lived.

"Ohh, whoops! That was a close one, wasn't it?~ You okay?"

She'd say as she turned to face Akio, releasing her hand from the grip. She acted in a nonchalant, typically Aoi way, pushing aside all the worries and tension that accumulated and acted like her down deluded self. She scratched the back of her head in the process with a little laugh along with it. Despite her current appearance, she did keep Kusaru's words in her mind, even if they didn't make much sense to her in this very moment.

"... And we're having a slumber party~"

Aoi seemed filled with glee when Ayame announced that they were going to camp. But she looked directly at Akio when she expressed her feelings about it. She could only see the fun side of what could potentially be a very uncomfortable sleep with the not so hot nights near the border and the tree branches everywhere. She pointed at Akio, then at herself, indicating her desire for them to share a tent. It was a great opportunity to catch up some lost time, after all. She had this weird obsession to please tougher crowds anyway.

Akio cursed slightly as she saw most of their attacks get cancelled out, thinking that the Gian and Kusaru in front of them would surely attack them while they were wrapped in fighting each other. The only attack that had hit was her shuriken, which had only gone to make Gian’s arm spaz out for some reason. She could definitely feel that something was off with this guy, and that feeling only grew more solid as she watched him engage Yamato. She might’ve drawn another bolt to fire, but Aoi’s intervention halted her, and in a way, brought her back to her senses. As Kusaru put all thing to a halt, Akio only gave the clown girl a nod of thanks. If not for her, she probably would’ve fired a shot that might’ve started the hostilities all over again.

As Kusaru began to speak to them as a whole, Akio couldn’t help but feel drawn in by the woman’s natural charisma, thought the fact that this woman knew her name did ring a few warning bells. However, as someone who lived by herself, she could attest to the hardships of making a living as a Shinobi in modern times. The payments you get for C rank and lower missions is sometimes barely enough to get you by, and while Akio can live somewhat comfortably due to the fact that her family had some money that she’s put away for a rainy day, most people didn’t have that luxury.

Akio would be lying if she said that she didn’t like what this lady was saying, but their was something that was bothering the young Tendou quite a bit about Kusaru’s speech. She was making all of these grand promises, but she wasn’t telling them how she was going to bring shinobi back into the fore, a fact that Akio would very much like to know.

She was snapped out of her thoughts, however, when Gian suddenly shot through the air to stop the Ronin that Team Ayame had brought in from escaping. The way he did it, however, brought a theory to mind. She wasn’t sure about it yet, but it seemed like an explanation for the man’s strange actions. As they left, Akio noticed the way Gian gazed seem to stay on her, and how he chose to wave with his damaged hand. Obviously, she had got the jester’s attention, a thought that was far from estatic about. Once they had left, Akio let out a sigh of relief(one that was much more subdued than Aoi’s), though she still felt a bit of nerves. She knew that Tsukiko-nee probably would chew her out for her reckless actions later, and she’d deserve it. She had let her panic and fear, of her death and that of her comrades, drive her actions instead of really thinking it through.

It was around this time that she noticed that Aoi still had a hold of her hand, a revelation that made her blush ever so slightly underneath her hood. Before she could say anything, the clown girl released her grip as she asked if Akio was all right. Not trusting herself to speak, she simply nodded, though a noticeable glimmer came to her eye as Aoi mentioned having a slumber party. Of course it would have to be much more subdued, since they were still on a mission, but she was sure it would still be fun to just talk to someone. The only other person she’d spoken to in length was Tsukiko-nee, and while there was nothing wrong with that, she couldn’t talk to her about certain things as there was just too much of an age gap between them. Her mind made, Akio gave one more, noticeably more enthusiastic nod to Aoi’s offer.

D A I K I.

Daiki was a bit surprised by how quick the others responded. It was like a full-blown war had been declared on the two dangerous figures. Two people that had enticed a powerful fear in all of them. He knew that his pride had fought it, that the Naito in him could never allow such fright to have a suffocating hold on his heart.

In mid-battle several things went wrong and it made him beyond furious. First his shadow clone had vanished into a white cloud. Shock lifted his brows but had not slowed his blade. If—if only I can land this one blow.

Just as his steel thoughts were finished and his blade came around to slam into Gian, a flash of red sped around from his side and appeared in front of him. Daiki had noticed the approaching ninja but felt that it was a comrade so he had ignored it. Now, a thin blade stood in the way of his broadsword; a daunting clang was born as the two clashed. Daiki held a stern glare as he listened to his supposed-comrade.

The ninja's sheathe had been slice effortlessly by his chakra enhanced sword. Idiot ... your back is wide open.”

Before he could close his lips, Gian had stepped before them silently. It was almost beyond movement to Daiki, it felt like a monster had crawled from beneath his bed. Behind the jester, sapphire lightening arc towards the sky, blackening the earth and charring the leaves around it.

What a apocalyptic visage.

His fur-lined cloak fell down like a curtain as he approached Yamato; completely ignoring him in the process. He would have tensed his jaw if fear hadn't assaulted him for the second time. With twitching brows, he straightened his stance and looked over at Gian defiantly. As much as he hated Yamato, he found a even greater hatred for the feelings those two infected him with.

With the way things had gone and his comrades foiling all of his plans, Daiki had no other choice but to listen. Kusaru's words were like oil to him. They could be helpful to many, but his wariness of her caused them to run in one ear and out the other. He didn't—nor did he want to—believe her.

That was a short-lived feeling however. Near the end of her speech she spoke of cleaning up. He didn't know why but her choice of words really piqued his interest. Perhaps because he thought the Yakuza in Konoha to be garbage. Maybe it was because he had been searching for a solution to their infestation problem earlier. Daiki physically shook his head of the poisonous thoughts.

She isn't talking about the Yakuza you idiot!

Anemone was held with a tense arm and hand, his golden eyes staring into Gian's black eyeholes. There was nothing beyond his mask but darkness, a very unnerving darkness. After the man had vanished from his sight and subdued the Ronin with shuriken, Kusaru found it necessary to address him directly. Daiki only stared with a heavy coldness, though his chest and shoulders trembled.

Jackass or not, leaf ninja stick together, Kusaru. Remember that when you come to visit.”

Sure that the duo had heard his warning, Daiki let out a long, drawn out sigh. All the fear that had been bundled up inside manifested. His hand found its way to his head as he rubbed it, seemingly calm. So much had happened that he felt absent from reality for a short moment. When he came back, all he could think was that he was a failure of a ninja. The village, the mission, and his life was top priority. So why had he risked his life on a whim? And why had he stepped up defend Yamato. It was confusing and maddening at the same time.

Anemone burst out of existence as he searched for some outlet for his emotions. When his eyes had found Yamato, his body simply moved.

A snarl erupted and a previously unseen scowl appeared on Daiki as he stepped forward without hesitation, though cautious of his flaming hands. You really think you're a god don't you, Yamato.” His voice rushed out like a raging river. Think yourself untouchable? Well you're not, you're nothing but human ... just like the rest of us.” With a flick of his wrist he summoned Anemone once again. I'm really sick of hearing this “I am god” bullshit. I'll bury your pride with your bones and make you realize you're nothing but dirt!”

Daiki was aware that he more-than likely looked foolish, that his actions were childish. But at the moment, all he wanted to do was fight. And who better than his foster clan's rival. The real question that came to his mind, even as he pushed the envelope and challenged Yamato in front of his peers, was:

Why am I doing this? What's driving me to bite at him?

Tsukiko Umene, Honeybadger

The situation was defused, barely. Yamato had broken free of his restraint and gave Tsukiko disrespect under his breath, something she heard easily, but he didn't continue. The others who had begun to attack had also been halted. The wild woman still kept her angered expression, pissed that she had to handle the kids like animals to keep them from killing themselves. As the Konoha crew winded down, Kusaru began to explain her purpose, albeit quite vaguely.

Most important class, huh, Tsukiko reviewed in her head, her angry expression finally dimming down in light of Kusaru's words. The more Tsukiko thought about it, the more it made sense. In her experience as a shinobi she could remember many times where she was given disrespect. Nobody ever cared if she was busting her ass daily to save their lives, that she was the reason they could sleep safely at night. Rather she would get mean looks in the street and talked down upon. Ungrateful shits... Tsukiko squinted her eyes at Kusaru and Gian as they left, giving them no acknowledgement of their words despite how much thought they stirred.

It was only after they left did Tsukiko finally let out a sigh. The whole encounter was a hassle, but she couldn't help but reflect on the woman's ideals. She couldn't say for sure what Kusaru was implying, but the end result sure sounded nice. Ayame was quick to suggest the entire operation be put on hold so they could rest, a sign to Tsukiko that the younger woman was rattled by the event. "Yeah yeah, whatever," she agreed, in her own unique way. I'll worry about that shit some other day. I guess I'll get a perimeter set up and... oh what now?

Tsukiko could feel the rising emotions from two teenagers in particular, Daiki and Yamato. The Naito boy seemed to want to fight Yamato. She could just consider it two young men vying for top dog, but Tsukiko was in no mood to tolerate this behavior any further. Putting up with Yamato all day, dealing with Keihatsu just now, and then being forced to put the mission off even longer? Tsukiko finally let go of the wire she was holding, letting it fall to the ground as she walked over to Yamato and Daiki noiselessly. The older woman walked directly between them, despite the proximity. She was taller than them, adding to her looming appearance.

She faced Yamato first. Her face hiding no secrets about her anger, it appeared as if she was about to start bitching at him. But instead her right fist came across in a hook, aimed to the boy's jaw with the intention of putting him on the ground if not entirely knocking him out. Without a word, Tsukiko then faced Daiki. She eyed him down for a moment, staring intensely into his gaze, before suddenly giving him the same treatment: a powerful punch to the face. Only after both boys had been put in their place would Tsukiko speak up again. "Ayame says we rest, we rest," she spoke, her voice oozing with malicious intent. It appeared as if she wanted to keep beating them but was restraining herself. "I'm not tolerating you little fuckers getting into trouble." Then her gaze went specifically to Yamato. "And don't ever touch me again." An obvious reference from when Yamato had gently moved her aside earlier.

Her intervention likely left a bad taste in their mouths, but Tsukiko didn't care. Fujitora and Ayame may "strict yet lax" in how they handled subordinates, but Tsukiko was only strict. The wild woman brushed some of her hair out of her face as she walked away from the kids and towards the trees. "I'll set up a perimeter then. If any of the kids are out of line when I come back, I'm killing them," Tsukiko announced. Her last statement was said half-jokingly. Of course the Choko siblings wouldn't just let Tsukiko kill any of the chuunin, without a good reason. But they probably knew that if they weren't there the statement would've been completely serious. Tsukiko jumped into the trees, grumbling to herself unintelligibly as she disappeared.

Shin Maru, Topaz

Shin let out a sigh of relief when Gian relented himself from counter-attacking the chuunin. The efforts of several others had withheld the attacks, so there was no need for the Keihatsu duo to return fire. That was close, Shin thought, sitting down in the road as the tension lifted slightly. If it became a fight, I'd be a goner for sure. The lady went on to speak of shinobi being treated like a class and that they should be valued more in society. The boy only seemed confused by what she said, even more so at the mention of his own clan.

Shinobi don't need to revered or anything, Shin thought to himself, not daring to say it aloud. It's our duty to protect. We do it in spite of backlash and hatred. We're above that sort of thing. Aren't we? He didn't have long to think deeply on Kusaru's words before the mysterious duo disappeared without a trace. Shin continued staring at the space were they were for a moment before letting out a sigh. Whatever. We'll be just fine and that's what matters.

Everyone had begun to settle down after this, with Ayame's suggestion to rest up instead of continuing with the mission. While Shin's macho side wanted to keep going, the teenage boy knew he was at his limit. He was barely living, and Jaakuna was in that same boat. A night's rest would be welcome, to say the least. "Well, good thing I came prepared for an overnight stay," Shin announced, standing back up so everyone could see him. "By bringing absolutely nothing..."

Takeshi Ruzuzaki

Border of Iron: Alone...once more.

Takehsi Ruzuzaki stared from afar as the battle waged on for a bit more, he clicked his tongue as his Hydra technique was blocked by Paneru's barrier, he knew she was protecting the two that had yet to retaliate. So why: Why did he decide to attack them? Was it a sense of pride?

To assist Yamato, who he to, should have held back despite the power difference?

To protect? Just what exactly?

Takeshi closed his eyes as he listened onto the post battle talk, he didn't bother opening them when Kusaru spoke his name, instead he leaned on the tree closer to him. The feeling was being afraid of replaced of weakness. The tree he cut down was avoided by Gian despite being (Seemingly) under Saburo's genjutsu. The clown had done things he had only seen top Ninja's do. After that little demonstration: Gain and Kusaru had left the group to themselves. The pressure that was on them lifted, to which Takeshi took as a blessing: Bloodshed and reckless behavior were avoided: at least for today.

“I suppose we should rest up a bit after that, and we can continue with the delivery of that man, tomorrow. Make camp, everyone.” Choko-taicho commanded everyone. Takeshi on the other hand had other plans. He was far away from everyone else. And he carelessly threw his lef knife into the winter snow, Luckily it was attached to a very long line. Sighing loudly he gently held the wire and began following the path on his weapon, he would soon be crossing pathes with everyone. The moment he got to the others he could hear Daiki arguing with Yamato.

“You really think you're a god don't you, Yamato.” His voice rushed out like a raging river. “Think yourself untouchable? Well you're not, you're nothing but human ... just like the rest of us.” With a flick of his wrist he summoned Anemone once again. “I'm really sick of hearing this “I am god” bullshit. I'll bury your pride with your bones and make you realize you're nothing but dirt!”

He could see his former Leader, Tsukiko-Sensei coming in the settle the matter, Takeshi though it would be wise to move out of her way. He didn't bother however to stay to hear her tell everyone to stay put.

The Green haired ninja paused for a moment before continuing on his way: he couldn't care less about what Yamato did now or the fact that Daiki had beef with him....in fact given the situation: Everyone would have a problem with him. hearing the voices drifting on into the distance, the sounds where replaced with the wind and the sound of his feet crushing the snow beneath him. "Come on, it couldn't have traveled far..." walking deeper into the winter forest he soon found his knife lodged deeply into the tree. Rolling his eyes he placed on foot on the tree and with his might, managed to dislodged it. Smiling to himself he pocketed his left and right Balisong knives as looked around. sighing the pulled out his knife one again and craved a direction to where he came from before walking in the opposite direction. Right now being alone is want he wanted.

Unless someone had decided to tail him for whatever reason, he had a knack for getting lost, but getting back was not problem. "So....that was something huh?" he muttered to himself quietly as he held out his arms wide and stretched. He stopped dead as he heard the sound of water rushing somewhere, pondering to himself he decided to see if there was a water source that was around.

Minutes later:

He Found it.

The water was still clear as anything while the snow that had settled on everything it touched. Takeshi stood at the base of the small waterfall as stared. He slowly stood a step onto the water as he reached the middle "Kuarsu, Gain....Yamato...everyone." holding out his hands and balling them into fists "No matter how you look at it, aside from who they act....each one of them have worked hard to get to where they are now." he smiled, he, out of everyone had praised even the young master. "Where do i stand with them...right where i have always have...at the back of everyone else...my attacks where even stopped by Paneru, shows how strong i am." he knelt down close to the water, not minding that his pants were getting wet he cupped the icy water and splashed the water om him, waking his senses up. "Man...that felt good!"

Another silent moment flew by as he stood up and walked towards to the water was falling, getting closer to it he saw his reflection, he looked badass and yet he was far away from it. "I'm going to leave the hidden leaf, if i stay here....i will never become strong."

"No one will be bother by my absence, heck i think i would do everyone a good favor if i left."

'Why not join the enlightenment?' Takeshi's though halted to a stop before thinking over it. "Nah, i would be no more than a pawn to them. If i want to get stronger...." he left his sentence unfinished as he continued to immerse himself with the area around him.

"Sotto mezameta hitsuji no yume ....." Takeshi muttered to himself. Unknown to him, inside his jacket pocket.

The fake scroll was starting to glow.
