Knife-ear. A term he was becoming more and more familiar with as he traveled through this new land. It was a word with a duragatory meaning pointed towards the shape of his ears. Something that he took little stock in.

"You are to remove your stock from their confines and take them to the docks where you are to put them on a ship bound to Valeria at once."

"Oh yeh, on who's authority?"

"By order of the Korenthin'dir, Patron Diety of the kingdom of Valeria and by me Rinn the White, Knight Commander of the Watch of Valeria!

Before the man had finished his sentence Rinn had drawn the sword at his side and held it to the man's throat. It was one thing to wield personal comments about him, but attacking the patron of his people was one thing that Rinn would not stand for.

Um I do have some things I'd like to address due to some contextual issues.

Knife-Ear while still a racial slure doesn't carry much meaning when most of the population isn't human.

Fat Chocobo, another insult wouldn't work as something for a Navirese Merchant to even know, the Patrons aren't exactly celebrities in this age. But as Deities they're known to the neighboring kingdoms but not one from another continent.

And finally Cid Highwind isn't the king. He's the Head Wizard. The King is a Fairy which will only emphasize the first part of the issues.

Now for a simple solution for the first 2 issues:

The Merchant is from your continent as well as from a nearby kingdom so it makes sense that he'd discriminate against pointy ear people as well as know who your patron is.

But that last part. Is that an intentional misunderstanding by the character?

OK SO LOOKS LIKE I HAVE TO SPILL SOME BEANS.

"If you want" Is perhaps the best indication I can give you without spoiling the upcoming things. As of level 15 you all should have your basic stuff: skills, stun, enable, disable, and strike. Now there's going to be a seventh thing that you'll eventually get to use but I've already said too much regarding this topic. An no it's not Sspers that drain all of your mana to summon them.

*fools around with other things, checks for posts every 30 mins, goes back to doing other things... Now starts checking every 20. Puts on music... Now every 10 mins. Starts watching youtube with forums open on alternate monitor.*

No second characters unless your first character dies and isn't revived within 1 hour via "Revive potion, arise spell, renew spell, Phoenix down, or Reincarnate spell" the last of that list is unique to this rp. What it will do is send your character's body into the ether where it takes a new shape and then is sent back to the world. Sometimes youll get lucky and be human or similar. Other times you're unlucky and come back as a talking fish with dword skills but no arms or upper body strength. Usually this depends on the person casting a spell.

was about to make a phoenix down joke and as if sometimes it fails, but luckily I realized in time that joked would fail big time. On the note about reincarnation though, does the person it is used on reappear on the same place or is he thrown out somewhere else in the world?

That also depends on the caster of the spell. Not many people are capable of using Reincarnation since its not something you just buy and read from a book. You actually have to have been dead at least once then revived by magic or item. Then you have to use Crystal or Magicite in a ritual which is known by just a small handful of people in the world called the Mystics. That's what the High Priest was referring to. The geomancer (being really old) is well Im just gunna say that he meets these qualifications and can eventually learn Reincarnation.

Hmm that would be interesting to see if you choose to permanently kill off your rider since reincarnation will just give you a new body instead of different history and skill set. But I hope that character remains alive for the purposes that I've set in motion.

OH BTW. I totally forgot but Crystal isn't magicite, its very much a cousin to magicite and has similar properties but much small power in comparison. It can be used to the creation of Nethecite which makes it valuable to the Kingdoms across the world. Tarva currently controls the largest Crystal Mine thanks to their Patron, Ascendor who is rumored to be made from crystals. Tarva has no summoners so it's not really apparent if it is or not.

So before yall leave go to the market and buy yourselves some items and crystals.
