There's this funny thing called "Force Speed". Just because Miasa is in possession of a serpentine lower body, does not mean she's naturally slow.

We'll see if Miasa includes something extra later on that'll be more blatant for Sish to discover.

Sish will have to work hard and be really lucky to discover the fact that its booby-trapped. The one most likely to be able to spot such (Xid) apparently won't go near it, due to the fact that it'll be rather dark.

Sish remembers Xid and Shiri, and how they used tech. He's willing to bet at least one of them can help him, and he knows they care for each other. He also knows very well that Miasa doesn't fear or respect him enough to not try somehting to give her the edge against him. So he's going to make both of them examine and figure out if his arm is messed with or not.

I miss dumb Sish. He would have just assumed she did nothing wrong. Would have made it so much simpler.

And it'll be interesting. We don't think Miasa will trigger the boom easily, though. It'd be a waste of good work in making the arm. So long as Sish ain't a direct threat to her, she won't need to use the insurance policy.

He's banking that Xid/Shiri will care about the other enough to not lie to him. You know, the usual 'If you do this I'll leave this person alone and if I find out you're lying to me I'll make them suffer for hours while you watch.'
