I think it'd depend on how much they took after one parent or another. You might have a half-elf who looked entirely elven, another who looked like a human with pointy ears and a third who looked entirely human. Genetics is funny like that... [LINK]

@McHaggisAnd we are saying genetics have to do with lore. Hell, you can even see the pointyness from the ears. So I really am not going to make a debate over an appearance.

Feyeral looked entirely like an elf from what I remember, couldn't tell a difference. But that is also a cop out so the devs would not focus on one NPC's model. And I really don't blame them.

Wait Fenarel? Because that dude was full elf. Or Feynriel because that is the half-elf and he looks human. That is the whole big thing about half elves, they don't look elves which is why they keep their bloodline a secret.

Oh the Qunari are like that do to time constraints, they intended them to have horns but they were too close to the sell date to change it, that doesn't make it any more right but it is a good reason. But I digress, there is an actual lore behind half-elves and their struggle of keeping their heritage a secret. Not only in the game, but also in the franchises other media sources like the books. One of my favorite ones was the Masked Empire and that was mainly because the character Michel de Chevin and his struggle to keep his heritage a secret from the rest of the world, if he didn't he would of lost his title as a chevalier and bodyguard to Emprise Celene.
