Before I do the Rouge thing. What should I be aware of?
Tips really because rouges change drastically each game.

Like, I seen a reaaaallly good Cole build. (Sorta spoiled myself there.)
So I'm sorta like "But Battlemaster and yelling ' GET OVER HERE!' ".

2 rouge
1 Warrior
0 Mage. (Does everyone dislike playing a mage in Inquisition? They were super fun in DA 1 and DA2. )

What is Focus and when do you acquire it? (Votes are updated again. Skype friends and stuff.)

You acquire the Inquisitor's Focus about a quarter of the way through the game, after you arrive at Skyhold. A giant sucking void which causes damage over time and can banish demons when used close to a portal.

Other Focus abilities are unlocked via the character's specialties trees, which are unlocked after level 15, I think. Each of those is different but very powerful. For instance, Artificer's Hail of Arrows doubles the effect of any archery abilities for a limited period of time, which is really powerful in combination with Varric's usual range of moves; Assassin's Cloak of Shadows makes the entire party invisible even when attacking for a short while, making them immune to most enemy attackers, but still vulnerable to High Dragons' breath attacks; and Tempest's Thousand Cuts is a nuclear bomb (figuratively), allowing you to teleport around slicing all nearby enemies between 12 and 36 times for high damage.

All the Focus skills require an energy bar to be powered up during combat, but persists between engagements, so you can run around fighting smaller foes to charge up before heading off to hunt down the High Dragons. Focus generation can be by performing combo attacks with other party members, such as freezing a target with a Mage then shield bashing them with a Warrior to shatter them, and can be upgraded three times via Inquisition perks, which doubles and trebles the effectiveness of each ability, depending on how much charge you've built up.

I'd say there's more balance between classes in this game than the others. Each has a well defined role in battle all its own while none are significantly overpowered compared to the rest. Generally the specialisations fall into the old Defensive, Offensive or Support models, but each has perks and twists making them useful in their own ways.

@GenniIt isn't about what's fun so much as what our characters do logically. In my recent pokemon DnD session four people jumped down a hole while only one other person said 'fuck that' because of the noise coming from it. They got extra stuff at the expense of getting turned into a evil man's pawns. We got none of that stuff yet we're still safe. They also got their butts handed to them on a silver platter due to the power difference.

@McHaggisYeah, like it isn't like they have to touch Red lyrium. And if Darkspawn are like... once a week? Martian will just know. Golems? They can learn about them and find dwarven relics. If anything it is risky in it's own sense.

What might be logical to you isn't logical to another. The characters will even express that.

The Grey Wardens for all their notability and skill are making progress in the deep roads but still can't stop the darkspawn entirely even with the help of the dwarves. The roads are not all mapped and tunnels are filled with more dangers than you can shake a stick at. You guys like being underground so be it that's in character. Gerald sees this as utterly stupid because anyone of us could get infected with the taint and die. Plus the dark spawn may be gone but their traps may not be along with red lyrium a thing that drove the templars, whom Gerald had known as stalwart in Kirkwall, to madness. Why take the risk of running into two of the most lethal things in the area just for the sake of a short cut.

Maybe they do find stuff of value...and they need to lug it around with them in the deep roads ontop of all the dangers down there. Power and numbers doesn't always win. Gerald is only going down there because he agreed to work with the group otherwise he'd say fuck it have fun running into darkspawn and getting infected you insane group of twats.

At the end of the day Gerald is out numbered in opinion and we're going down there to Starkhaven that's a given. What comes of it may prove him right or wrong or neither. So let's please drop why I'm siding with Gerald as I don't want to have to explain to everyone WHY he's thinking the way he is anymore because there is no point in trying to do so.

None of of us acctully cared; and you sound like you're complaing. In short most will probably just overlook it because we have already decided.

In short "Regardless of who you side with in the OOC, it does not matter for it does not mean everyone will agree with either." Secondly, there are more dangerous than darkspawn. Could run into high dragon just picking flowers or mining above land.

So calm down.

I am calm. If I was angry I would have already just said 'screw it, I'm out of this roleplay I'm no longer interested in playing Gerald will go off and do whatever he will and possibly die in some random ditch somewhere.' as it is I'm indifferent to this roleplay.
