A Last Hope

It is a period of civil war.
Rebel spaceships, striking
from a hidden base, have won
their first major victory against
the evil Galactic Empire.
That victory, however, came at
the cost of half their fleet.

During the battle, Rebel
spies managed to steal secret
plans to the Empire's
ultimate weapon, the DEATH
STAR, an armored space
station with enough power
to destroy an entire planet.

Pursued by the Empire's
sinister agent, Leia Skywalker,
a ship races home,
custodian of the
stolen plans that can save the
people and restore
freedom to the galaxy....

The Tantive IV shuddered as it was hit by another blast from the Devastator's Cannons and Luke walked onto the bridge. "Captain Antilles, Senator Organa," he said, nodding to the two men, "I need to warn you. Leia Skywalker and Mara Jade are onboard that ship."

"Vader's daughter and the Emperor's Hand." responded Captain Antilles. "In that case, I hope you Jedi can defeat them. We just lost the hyperdrive, and the sublights are too damaged to escape."

"In that case, send in the droidekas. They should be able to hold off the storm trooper's advance long enough for us to engage those two."

Organa nodded. "Very well then, I'll prepared to transmit the files, as well as transfer the credits to our contact."

Leia Skywalker entered the bridge and walked up to the ship's Captain. "Governor Tarkin, I knew this was your ship. I recognized your foul stench the minute I came onboard."

"Lady Skywalker. Fiery as ever." He pointed out the bridge window to the ship they were shooting. "The personal vessel of Bail Organa of Alderan, rebel leader. We tracked the stolen plans to him, and soon he will be in our grasp."

"I can't risk further failure. I will oversee the boarding party myself."

"Yes, milady." he said as she walked down to the docking bay.

"There is no Dark side, nor a Light. There is Only the Force..." A slight pause in the young man's mind, quickly followed again with: "There is no Dark side, nor a Light. There is Only the Force..."

Though his eyes were closed, Lucas could "see" everything that was before and around him. The erect rock he sat upon rumbled, though only he could feel the fissures of the earth below him. The stalwart tree that waved through the wind as it blew pass him gently, filling him with a calming mindset. His garments, neatly folded and off to his left, allowed him to feel all this in his body's most natural state; granting him an unrivaled meditation with the Living Force. Around him, floated the pieces of his twin lightsabers as he concentrated on his meditation; strengthening his resolve and mastery over the mystical power. And just as he had done countless times before, he reconfigured his weapons and lowered them on the makeshift rock pedestal he constructed before his meditation. Slowly, he opened his eyes and took in the magnificent gaze of Kashyyyk and its mountainous forests surrounding him. The planet, home of the Wookie, was the closest thing he had to a home besides Yavin IV; another place of meditation for him.

"Sir, I'm receiving a message from our friends in the Underground. Would you like me to forward it to your communicator or shall it wait till you return?" a robotic voice spoke suddenly, coming in the direction of his equipment.

"K3, it can wait till I am finished here. Till I return to the ship, make no attempt to call for me. If I wanted some company, I would return to Corusant." the young lad replied, utilizing the Force to open the relay to his robotic companions comm-link.

Lucas stood from his resting position, stretching in glorious sunlight in all his glory before making his way to his garments. Dressing himself in an orderly fashion, he slung the rucksack full of provisions he brought on his back. Taking a step towards the deep forests, raised his hand and snapped his fingers; both his lightsabers lifted off the rock they rested upon and returned to their master's side. Many of the former students of Jedi would say his use of the Force was reckless, borderlining the path to the Dark side. But he didn't believe in such nonsense, the Force was a tool to be utilized for whatever needed to be done. Passing under the fallen trunks of trees, scarred with blaster marks and explosions, he took into account the fierce battles this world had seen. Kashyyyk had seen its fair share of the troubles brought on by all the empires of old and the current one. Would the wars and struggles ever end? Probably not. Leaping from the ridge he came upon, he somersaulted through the air and landed below without a scratch.

"Who cares... as long as I make my way and no one bothers me, I'll be fine and so will everyone." he thought to himself.

[Revans Exile]

The death of Rahm not long aftr the death of Kento had left Galen standing on a razor's edge between the dark and the light. One false move could turn an ally into a fierce enemy. Ahsoka had taken a special care with Galen, training him, mentoring him, acting as surrogate parent whatever he needed. She knows he blames himself for both of their deaths because he wasn't ready or stong enough, Rahm only made that worse. Ahsoka madse sure that she & Galen went on evey mission together ever since even the ones she didn't feel he was ready for, sometimes he surprised her, most of the times she was right, his abilities were not in question, it was his emotional state. The mission on the Tantive was one of those missions that had the most oppurtunity to surprise her.

The attack on the Tantive brought Ahsoka & Galen out of their meditation. They grabbed their lightsabers. Ahsoka accessed a comm unit. "Luke where do you need us?" They both could sense the dark side prescence on the attacking vessel. Galen was itching for a fight. He unconciously was activating & deactivating his lightsabers. "Galen." Ahsoka needed no other words to settle Galen down. Galen put his lightsabers down. Galen pulled his armor to him from the mannequin and put it on. Once the armor was on he attached the lightabers' fibercord to the armor. "Ready mistress." Ahsoka rolled her eyes. "Please do not address me so formally. We are not members of this Jedi Order. Call me Ahsoka." Galen wasn't used to such informality with his mentors, especially Rahm. "As you wish mi....Ahsoka."

Donwi was not sure as to why he was even here. He had already been exiled by the order and it didn't sit well with him that he was asked to help with their affairs. He had long been expelled from the order but now he was back because an old friend had asked him. He was in his room meditating when the Tantive fell under attack. After the first blast he grabbed his gear and headed to the bridge to find out who was attacking them.

@Revans Exile "Luke where do you need us?"

Luke thought for a second before answering, then activated his commlink. Before he could speak, the ship lurched again as it was rapidly decelerated and dragged into the Devastator's docking bay. "They just locked a tractor beam on us. Meet me at the main airlock and help us stop the initial attack. After that, we'll need to knock out the tractor beam so that we can escape. I'll leave that up to you, while I protect the Senator."

He walked to the main docking port and drew his light saber, though he didn't ignite it yet. The droidekas and a few super battle droids were there, along with many of the ship's security officers, but Luke knew it wouldn't be enough against the seemingly endless swarms of Storm troopers. He would have to be prepared to defend them while taking out as many enemy troops as possible, at least until Leia and Mara got here and the real battle began.

"If you guys don't mind," he said to the security officers that were there, "I'm going to meditate and try to center myself before the battle." When the security officers told him that they didn't mind, Luke sat down in the middle of the floor behind the droids and sat his light saber on his lap. He closed his eyes and let the force flow through him, calming his nerves and feeding him information about his surroundings. While he couldn't feel the droids, he could feel the energy inside of them, tiny pathways opening and closing as one of them they ran a self diagnosis and rerouted around a damaged neural circuit. That droid dated back to the clone wars, though, so it was bound to have a few problems. He shifted his attention away from the droids and tried to push away distractions, knowing that in battle a single distraction could cost him his life.

Mara Jade knelt on the holographic communications ring. "It is as I feared, master. Luke Skywalker ran to the Jedi. As we speak he is aboard the vessel we are in the process of capturing, Bail Organa's personal transport."

"He must be captured." replied the Emperor. "We must know what he told them."

"I will torture the information out of him myself." she responded.

"No." replied the Emperor, "You will bring him to me, and I will interrogate him personally, then, where Vader failed, I will turn him to the darkside myself. If you wish to interrogate someone, though, you may perform the initial interrogation on Organa."

"Thank you, Milord. It will be done," she said. With the conversation over, she stood up and the channel closed itself. She grabbed her lightsaber and left the communications room to go find Leia. "I was just given orders by the Emperor himself. We must capture your brother and take him to the Emperor for interrogation and conversion."

"I'll leave that to you." said Leia. "I sense other Jedi on board, and will be dealing with them."

"Good." Mara said. "I've been wanting to beat Luke for over a year now."

Ahsoka & Galen arrived at the main airlock. It was already under attack. Ahsoka used the blaster portion of her hybrid weapon. Galen yanked the blaster rifle out of a Stormtrooper's hands. He pulled that blaster to himself and used it to fire upon the Stormtroopers.

When more came through to replace the losses Galen used Force Blast to violently push them and the bodies of the previous boarders back through the airlock. Ahsoka addressed Luke. "We got this from here, do what you need but I suggest leaving the droids here unless needed elsewhere and sealing the airlock. We will find another way back." Ahsoka and Galen rushed through the airlock. Ahsoka shut the airlock as she went through. On the other side Ahsoka grabbed one of the Stormtroopers that was still alive and using Mind Trick forced him to tell her where the tractor beam generator was located. After receiving directions she compelled the man to cause as much damage as possible to the ship.

Ahsoka and Galen headed to the tractor beam generator as stealthily as possible. The mind tricked Stormtrooper went off to parts unknown to do damage to the ship or until the compulsion wore off.
