I was so excited about Bethesda's E3 stream that I forgot about the S5 Finale! Watching it now.

I think they pulled it off. The only part I thought they fumbled was Winterfell. The Stannis scene was confusing because they cut it like he is going to live but it makes no sense for Brienne to spare him. And then Reek pushing bonehips off a wall and watching her die before just before him and Sansa decide to jump made it sort of weird. Looked like a suicide attempt with very little emotion.

And I suppose Arya falling for the Dagobah Cave trick was silly.

Rest of it was pretty well done though. Even if we didn't get to see Dany try and make a hat.

Well, I assume they live and they probably expect to live since they aren't killing themselves in the book, but it was just strange when juxtapositioned with watching that girl die after falling from a similar height.

They're straying too far from the books.

it really was, but then again it was (albeit loosely) based on the worst books of the series too, so really we should be thankful that the show combined those.

I don't get why they changed Dorne like they did. Certainly a condensed version of what happens in the books would have been way better?

Well when that girl was pushed by Reek, imo back to Theon now, she kinda lost a lot of brain matter on the corner of a stone staircase. Theon and Sansa were aiming for mounds of snow. My only concern is that they may get stuck and/or break their legs. In that case it depends on whether they freeze to death or are discovered by Bolton's patrols.
