Jacque nodded and sat back, content with the answer he received, 'Guess i'm not the only one who's got some skeletons in their closet.' he mused silently while rubbing his injured arm. The sliver of a smirk reappeared on Jacque's face as Hikari chose Nic to be the next contestant in the game, after all whichever option Nic chose was bound to bring amusement, be it in the form of gaining knowledge about the alien's past or home world, or as Nic doing something amusing due to his ignorance of many earth customs.

Nic's eyes widened in confusion, he literally had no idea what to do "I suppose I will be choosing the truth" Hesaid not wishing to have to break something like Jacque did "Shoot me with your best shot!" he said grinning like an idiot

Hikari regretted her choice almost immediately after Nic opened his mouth. Listening to him butcher the English language was like listening to a train wreck. Once he was done though, she had a lot of questions. Where was he from? Why come here? Why did S.E.E.R. trust him? "Where were you born?" Hopefully the others would chime in with more questions for him, and they would avoid asking her any more.

Roxy was only slightly interested in Nic response. It didn't really matter where he was from. It would not effect anything. Not how they interacted or how they accomplished their missions. Still it might be interesting to know.

Nic chuckled nervously as the driver locked eyes with him through the mirror, giving him stern look before looking away "My people are not borned like humans" He said, hoping that they would be satisfied with learning something else about his people other than the highly top secret location of his birthplace "We are, how you would say, engineered" Nic said trying to explain the complex subject as simply as he could for the earth beings "when two of my people wish to procreate they are both having to submit genetic material to the Brood Engine and they are able to be selecting a child from the possible outcomes of the genetic material fusing"

"So you're a science experiment?" John asked, one eyebrow raised. John was interested by Nic. He seemed as naive and stupid as they come but he did great in the battle with Hellhound. Now he finds out that he was genetically engineered. It just gets stranger.

Hikari regretted her decision. It all sounded so… clinical the way he described it. Like the parents were choosing their baby's future instead of letting the child grow to be who they wanted to be. "Sounds like… fun?" Hikari said, trying to choose her words carefully. She'd seen that suit in action, and she didn't want to be hugged or punched by it. It was likely that she'd return to base with a broken bone. "Your turn, Nic." She just hoped he understood the rules by now.

Jacque raised an eyebrow at Nic's answer and began speaking before he could register what he was doing, "So you're more or less a result of selective breeding. Two of your race input their genetic material and select the output with the most desirable traits. I would assume given your anatomy that they'd look for the infant with that would be superior both in an aesthetic sense and in a sense of physical fitness. Helps you to both find a mate as well as be a benefit to society. Not a bad way of doing things really." he said calmly, grasping the subject with relative ease. Jacque quickly clammed up when he realized he'd spoken aloud his thoughts rather than keeping them to himself. 'So much for keeping up the all brawn no brain image I was striving for.' Jacque mentally lamented.

Nic could sense besides Jacques the team wasn't really open to his people's method of procreation, but he was not offended, on his planet sex for the sake of anything but pleasure was seen as clumsy and something reserved for the lowest of classes, but he kept his mouth shut, not wanting to offend the team "Soooo Krait, are you truthful or daring?" He asked smiling hoping that he would be able to see the point of this silly earth game now that it was his turn?

Hart sat back and watched the progression of the game. She said nothing. Not even about Nic's unusual parentage. But in her opinion it seemed that it wasn't a bad way to do things. Just different. She'd been silent for a while but it didn't bother her. She was sleepy anyways. She yawned. Hopefully this journey would be over soon.

Nic's creation was odd, but Roxy could think of worse ways to begin life. Atleast Nic knew that his parents had wanted him. They had taken the time to think about the kind of kid they wanted. Life would be alot simpler if human parents had to give the same thought to having a kid. But humans hadnt reached that point yet.

Krait really didn't need to think that for a long time. Both of the options had their calculated risks, but given the one who was asking the question, it was rather easy to tell which one was supposedly easier way out. "Truth." Krait said, turning her head at Nic. If she was lucky enough, this was going to be something as simple as what toothpaste she used, and if not... well, as she readjusted her new hat, at least she didn't need to do anything like what had been done for that.

"Why are you always wearing the mask?" Nic said, raising his eyebrow at Krait, her file didn't say and he didn't have clearance to see the picture without her mask and it had been something he was curious about since he read the file.

At that point Krait was relieved she really hadn't gone with dare or this could of struck a lot more to her pride. "I have been ordered to do so, though I would do it even if there was an option." she answered, crossing her fingers and placing her hands on her lap. "why do I choose to do so? Let's just say accidents take their toll. I'm not too fond of showing myself in public." she continued, looking at the floor for a second before looking back at Nic. Of course he could choose to dig further into this, it was part of the game after all. It was only a matter of time before this topic was lifted up, but still, after all this time, she was feeling uncomfortable about even mentioning it.

Roxy turned her attention back to the group. "Your a bunch of children playing a childish game. None of the question have been the least bit interesting or challenging if you are going to play the game you should at least make it worth the effort."

Krait was having a bit of a moment after answering, thinking the situation she actually was as these people would be seeing her more often than anyone had past couple years. Thinking of looking herself in the mirror even when she came home gave her creeps, even if she knew what was to expect... so in that burst of emotions, the sudden words that came out made her doubtful mind into extremely pissed off one.

Looking up from her hands at Roxy, she gave a rather murderous glare behind her mask. "Alright then, since it seems to be ever so childish, truth or dare mrs. Blades?" she snapped rather with rather offended tone.

"Honestly, I don't care. I'm starting to wonder if trying to avoid jail by joining this stupid group was mistake anyway." Hikari said, uncrossing and re-crossing her legs. She shifted her arms to cross over her chest too. When were they going to reach this new base of theirs? She hoped it was soon, this compartment was just too cramped. She didn't like sitting still this long, and this whole truth or dare thing was cute at first, but she didn't really like this new turn. Not to mention sooner or later someone was going to ask her another question, and she wasn't ready to answer another one yet. Besides, sooner or later she'd just bail on these guys anyway. She didn't have a reason for being here anyway. They had Krait, who had pretty much the same abilities as her. Hikari wasn't needed at all, so sooner or later they'd realize it and put her with another team and she'd be moving around again. Just like she had for most of her life. Hikari sighed and tried to relax in her seat, paying half an ear to what Krait and Roxy were saying.

"Truth." Roxy replied. There was no way these children would make her uncomfortable. She could easily answer any question they came up with. Her past was pretty much an open book.

"Your psych evaluation. The professionals have found your plain wall, as something has happened to you, even if you refuse to talk about it..." Krait started, using her other hand to point her finger at Roxy's direction. "Was it you mom and pap that got it wrong, or was it just some grease handed dipshit trying to score? What... was it?" Krait continued, leaning ever so slightly towards her.
