Possibly because sometimes spells require to vocally voice them in a lot of things that deal with magic spells xD

Dunno anytime FF does it but Ya know.

In one lore, I know that it makes the spells more powerful and effective.

Umm- From what I remember Lulu says one liners- not the actual spell. But that is just me trying to recall something from 10 years ago. But whatever.

Edit: Actually, no one says anything when they cast things like holy or Ultima lol. This much I remember, same with cure.

well I go about it this way: I CAN go about and just go ahead and describe every unique magic she does and etc cause she will use a lot of magic that wasn't in the game, but it's a lot simpler to stamp a simple name like water sphere! or fire pillar and voila you say the spell, everyone know what you are doing without having to go into detail about it. Besides there is just something too epic in yelling spell names and have them blow stuf up. ^_^

Take a look at japenese culture almost every one of their shows have their characters saying the whole thing out every time but to save space on the disk they opted out with just putting the word at the top of the screen

I HAVE but I don't.

Like, they done that in Tales of Xillia, and I thought it was really stupid when they yelled out attacks. Like "Pow Hammer!"

So... "onomatopoeia and item...okay..."
It was just one of those things I laughed at a lot.
Still a super fun game on the ps3.

It is pretty much FFX x SMT just as an action rpg game.
(Rewards you for hitting weaknesses, punishes you for hitting incorrectly.)

yep ^_^ expect lot's of spell name shoutng and stuff to fly around. Bonus points if I start naming the spells in another language and put translations on top of the screen with italic font lol... I think I've been watching too many animes.

Yeah it's just a normal thing with Japan stuff. Which includes the FF series and the Tales series xD just shouting stuff.

I agree it's weird but the fact I already know you don't watch anime I know you watched. Inuyasha which he does iron reaver dial stealer every bloody time, but the fact you don't watch it it's still there. So that argument is invalid . :) also remember I said don't get too hung up on every detail things are changing in this rp. We already have ten things that didn't exist in the game and planning on more so chilax. Let people rp how they do and have fun

Yeah- The Attacks were repetitious in Inyuasha.

It's fine to be able to identify an attack- but every time it is shown you say it? That gets old super fast lol.

The only character I know that doesn't shout attack name that I can think of in that anime is Kagome xD and even then she's shouting something.

I remember trying to play make believe when I was small and shouting the attack name as I flailed around. Even then I felt like such a dork lol (on phone sorry for spelling errors and bad quality)

But my favorite one?
"All beginnings... Must end...so let it be...By my hand! Elemental Mastery!"

Who made a really amazing world. But DBZ? You have the same plain Jane environments over and over- just a different color pallet and the characters were not memorable...

I'm going to stop there.

Stop. Took me awhile to stop the repeated words that got stuck in my head.

Also, I did like DBZ. Probably not as well as others, but I liked it. It was just one of those I could watch and enjoy the silliness and fighting xD

And Goku is always quite memorable. Since he's usually known to be one of the top fighters out of any universe cause he's super powered as heeeeeeeck xD

And it's sad that I can remember quite a few characters even though I haven't watched in awhile. Though not a lot of bad guys. Huh. Now I want to watch it again.
