Calling it "Enchanting" is probably what's confusing you, so I'll just sort of explain my interpretation of what Hael means.
-All Mages, as an addition to their basic set of skills, learn to "Imbue" their magic into physical objects.
-This is dependent on the forms of Magic they have, the material being imbued, and the skill of the Mage.
-Example: Your aforementioned "Spirit Mage" might take a lesser Fire spirit into their body, and then house it in a specially prepared Magic Sword. By connecting yourself magically with the sword, you may now will it to catch flame. You are not altering the sword, like an Alterist might, but rather you are using the sword as a medium for your Magic.
-This is probably more difficult with some types of Magic than others. For example, while Irina may not find much use in this skill at all, for an Alterist, it could be incredibly powerful.
-The act of "Imbuing" their magic into objects is not its own field at all, but rather, an inherent skill possessed by Mages, similar to the act of Spell-casting itself. It is a simple, natural progression when learning to control and apply magic practically.

These are just my thoughts on the matter. I do agree that this is all a little "Ehh", but at times like this, it can't be helped, tomato.

By the way, I like the Spirit/Elemental thing. That was actually pretty much what I was going to go with, prior to my Planar Mage.

Also, I just now finally put my character up :D

You'll notice he can magically project himself, but that is never a mentioned skill of Mysticism (low blow alert, @Cyclone )

MY ROFLKNIEF GOEZ SLIECSLIECSLI-oh, crap. Night has fallen. You win this time, Hael!

@Queen Tomato

That's an interesting way of looking at it. Watermelon.

Like you said, I feel that there's a big grey area. I'm now just going on with the assumption that creativity is mostly left unburdened and that we'll be allowed to do about anything within reason. I think that's what the self-styled "Benevolent Dictator" @Hael was getting at.

Exactly~!

I'm making a form of that spirit crap now, by the way.

That's the assumption you want to get at.

I could not resist, for I am a beast of Karma, as simple slave to her almighty will.

Dang, everything I say is slowly changing into poetry. Can you tell I've been writing too much?

Interesting! I should study this some time...

No, you're just succumbing to Kho's logic and becoming a Vowzra. RESIST IT, HAEL!

After my next post, I've decided to fuse the spirit-bending (a form of magic to counteract Occultism) I had in mind with the Cyclone's spirit-imbuing (allowing yourself to be possessed)

I may make a character to do that, sense it sounds very interesting. Or just make the White Goblin suddenly super-interested in it and have him start to learn it.

I can't! It is not fated for me to do so.

NO! Did I really just say that?! By Kraken, what have I become?

EDIT: I love how nobody mentions how weird we are, @Cyclone, with all these references to RPs they aren't even in.

The idea just crossed my mind to have a character inspired by the Ents from Lord of the Rings and the Pequeninos from Ender's Game to have a race of people that can transform into trees and do magic. He'd be good for the druidism that keep bringing up that nobody seems particularly interested in. The thing is that as far as the number of RPs that I'm in goes, I just keep on nibbling bit by bit more than I think I can chew. One of these it's going to be too much and I'm going to choke and die.

I'll toss the idea about for a little bit and maybe make the character in a week or two since Divinus no longer seems to be demanded 1-2 posts every day from me.

@SepticGentleman

I see it's coming along nicely. What are you making that picture with? It looks to my filthy and inartistic eye to be colored pencil.

And all day I've been wondering why Umbrix had his abomination crap and throw up all over his room. Does he just enjoy the smell?

I'll celebrate mourn your passing with some cake and icecream.

But seriously, I think we need a druid to slap around when he insists that immortality is wrong. I'm not very demanding with posting, just use him every few days, really.

1) PhotoShop.

2) Stench of death. Pleasant for the Fenneca of House Manskr. Helps the work environment.

I have like, an entire writeup for the spirit stuff done already. I would use it as a second character, if I had the time.

Also, it's not that strange. I mean, you should see Irina's workshop...

I might do it and have him as a minor character, really. The issue is that he'd probably end up with Crompter* due to their similar stance. In general I see it as poor practice and try to not have two of your characters working together with one another in this type of RP, though if you don't object to it I might just make this the exception.

* Old man has a strong sense of morality and if the sandcastle story didn't show it, he hates those who abuse power. If the Prince doesn't watch his wording and actions very carefully, Crompter is naturally going to be that one guy who opposes the immortality.
