@GummyCat Every fantasy RP must have at least one Orc, and it's nice to know we have a sort of warrior. Afterall, I'm sure the road to immortality will have a few bumps. Now we can all hide behind Korthul.
The other page didn't let me hit enter anymore so i had to make a new page. Also can you judge my character's Occult Summon, its quite peculliar and I need to make sure its accepted or needs to be changed. (PS: my other character is ready to be smited down upon and be judged)
WIP
Name Mercutio Parvis
Aliases The Host of Sin / The Beast Emerging
Gender Male
Race Human
Appearance
Backstory Mercutio was never meant to be, he was never meant to live, he was only suppose to be a human sacrifice by a family of Occultist who were planning for something big. However, Mercutio during the ritual was touched by something before everyone inside the house died as the building came down upon them. The blurry images are still present in his own mind as he remembered back then. After the accident he was rescued and adopted by other humans who were now his new family. His time with his new family was normal and he lived as a normal child who learned and played with the other kids and for a time was happy.
However, his roots back to being from an Occult family soon surfaced as he discovered he could summon an Demon to his aid. He kept this to himself hiding it from his family members, but in secrecy he practiced and learned that if he focused hard enough he could hear whispers in the corners of his mind. Listening to the voices he followed their instructions and slowly began rolling down the path of practicing Occult Magic.
The years past on as Mercutio grew to use his Occult magic with more proficiency, learning the ins and out of the taboo magic. He managed to harvest souls for his own purpose and experiment with necromancy for a short time but gave it up. Focusing on Conjuration of a single demon that was bounded to him since the beginning of his birth. Receiving a painful yet shocking vision a humanoid creature that surrounded his tiny form as a baby during the night of the ritual where he was being tributed. Unsure if he should trust the vision he researched and listen before confirming that the demon itself was bound to his own life force and if he had died it would die as well. How the powerful demon was bound to Mercutio, he himself wasn't sure but it would explain why his previous attempts of conjuration failed.
The demon bounded to him mysteriously labeled itself as Fenox, and it was tasked of basically protecting Mercutio at all cost. So doing its job, the demon was warding away attempts of any demons approaching him, making his attempts of summoning any demon fail due them being scared off. Deciding that staying inside of a large town would be bad if he conducted any larger experiments he would need to go out farther to avoid suspicion. He said farewell to his adopted family before leaving them to head out to the country to continue his occult studies.
Weapons
How did you find out about the tower I waited and listened to the Abyss, and the Abyss whispered to me where it was, then I followed with the guidance of the abyss where it wanted me to go.
Personality
Magic School and Skill
Mercutio is specialized in Occult magic and is a powerful summoner of a specific demonic servant named Fenox which its task is to protect him at all cost and listen to his every orders. The demon Fenox is a powerful demon but at the same time it repels other demons from being summoned by Mercutio and has to consume souls to recover faster along with increase in power with the amount of souls it consumes. The demon itself is attached to Mercutio when summoned and is a very flexible demon depending on which form it is in.
Since Mercutio has no other demons, Fenox is his only demon he can summon and his skills in Necromancy are decent but nothing impressive as he dedicates most of his souls to increasing Fenox's strength. The abilities that Fenox has varies in which forms he takes but in general his basic form has above average physical prowess being able to challenge two soldiers at once with little difficulty and snap a simple sword easily. His defensive abilities in this form are decent as the demon can take hits for Mercutio and can create a weak magical shield to defend against both melee and ranged attacks or harden its skin to defend as well or hit harder for a short time. Fenox's misty figure in this form is swirled around Mercutio and so it can extend its form to attack at all ranges.
In its second and more defensive form, Fenox turns itself into a rib-cage like shield covered in a purple energy that solidifies with the rib-cage and protects Mercutio from all horizontal and partially from above attacks from all sides with a opening in the front for Mercutio to see. The rib-cage and energy that surrounds it destroys all basic level magic applied to it or hits it basically giving it immunity to weak magic and resistance to stronger spells. In this form, all attacks from Fenox are severely limited and delayed as the demon has to create a skeletal arm to attack first and only has the use of that one arm only. While he has to create his arm, the arm can be created to be set in a gripping position to grab a opponent instantaneous if they are standing still for too long and vice versa. All in all, Fenox turns stationary demon but in this form allows it to reach farther in its previous form as its skeletal arm can reach farther but is slower and he has to predict his opponents moves more.
The third and hardest form of Fenox to bring out is the near-full body form in which Fenox in its Rib-cage stage transforms into a skeletal torso and head with two skeletal arms to attack with. In this form it transforms the defensive and offensive properties of the two forms into a single one with solid defense while having a solid attack. This form is the creepiest and strongest of Fenox's ability allowing it to attack at any range with a variation of attack of sweeps, smashes, crushing or even flicking. The strength of the first form and sturdiness of the second form combined allows this form's attack to hit hard and take hits with no care for the mean time. The energy and bones in this form is so eerie and strange that it destroys the intermediate level of magics that is applied to it or hits it, basically having a immunity to normal powered spells and resistance to stronger ones. However, the third form of Fenox is has limited use and can only be used for 3-4 posts before reverting to either of the two basic forms and can be only used once every fight.
If any significant part of Fenox is damaged or destroyed then there will be a time for the demon to recover naturally or if fed souls it will recover near instantaneously but will not gain the strength when it normally consumes souls. If battle happens too soon and Fenox isn't able to recover it comes onto battle with its injuries and if it is slain in battle then Mercutio's demon wont be in the remainder of this battle or the next one depending on the time. Souls cant be consumed when Fenox is slain and has to recover naturally to fully be able to be resummoned without any issues.
Alright, Korthul is accepted. He will serve well if we end up in combat. Will he be demanding pay ? Joking aside, he has earned his place among the Chosen Ones (by which I mean the character section)
As for Fenox, I'm cool with him. In fact, it makes sense that Mercutio would travel to our lovely little tower, as it will likely hold some info (or at least some clues) as to why Fenox has latched on to him. My character, you should be warned, may try to speak with Fenox directly.
What about Alterists, who could shrink themselves, or Mystics- who could see you no matter where you hide?
We must have a RP-wide game of hide-and-seek. Winner get immortality
Because fucking planar sorcerers can just hit up an eldritch butt god through a portal and be like "YO FAM HELP A BROTHER OUT."
I dunno about you but those tentacle horrors floating in the deep are pretty good at keeping shit under wraps when they're all the way out in what I assume is the ass end of the universe.
Of course he will turn an enemy into beer at some point (probably several points, actually...). After all, combat is thirsty work, and by the end of it Crompter will most certainly be looking for a drink!
Crompter isn't a necromancer and while he could certainly turn a carving of a bear into a real enough bear, it would be a limp piece of meat. He couldn't animate it to life. So yes, like I hinted at all of those figurines were once living creatures that he crossed and he could make more, though it's not the easiest process.
As in for telepaths controlling the figurines, sure. Provided they don't panic to see a gigantic troll or something suddenly appear next to them, anybody with mind control abilities would be able to synchronize well with Crompter's almighty pouch-powers.
Why would anyone be terrified of a Troll appearing out of nowhere. Heck one of Cromper's figures could be related to Matuna
@ArenaSnowKaesus looks like he would get along with Irina. She's older than she looks, Runic and Planar magics are both very "Nerdy" relative to other schools, and the two of them share a good deal of personality/ideology similarities. I know that Irina, at least, would be very interested in Runes.
They should become nerd friends and share their research. Then, they can become insane together, squish.
Matuna might not like Kaesus or Irina but he would definitely come to respect their intelligence. He and Korthul probably would get along fine, not only are they both members of "lesser" races, they also use similar magic. Korthul has Destruction and Alteration, while Matuna's main school Combat Magic is based off both.

Ya, but I doubt the portals are stable/safe enough that a Planar S. could easily stay there for extended periods of time, and then return without having been grossly consumed by previously mentioned butt-god (for the hunger of a butt-god is ever vicious).
It would be the world's deadliest, freakiest, weirdest game of hide-and-seek. And the most awesome.
I know it's possible for Oculists and Telepaths to work together to make controlling demonic servants easier but would any of the following combo's work as well?
A Telepath and a Mystic working to read someone's mind or control someone from afar. Alteration Wizards and Necromancers to both make the corpses less recognizable or better "equipped" for their new task. A Mystic helping a Planar Mage to find the right formula's A Mystic and An Alchemist to find the best ingredients. and finally Alchemists boosting the power of Destruction Mages with poisons and flamable oils.
Of course there are many more combinations possible, these were just the ones I could think of.

Yes to everything :)
You could also do things like: A Mystic and Destruction Wizard working together to attack from miles away, through a Seeing Stone An Alteration Wizard allowing a Planar Sorcerer's portal to stay open for longer An Alchemist increasing the raw power of any other mage through potions A Telepath controlling someone's mind while a Mystic controls his body (voodoo), so that they have complete control over some poor individual.
And so on. I intentionally made some of the "classes" so that they may be able to help eachother, thus making our different characters able to work together in interesting ways.
My character is a Mystic (will be presented soon, I assure you) and the Prince is a Telepath/Alterist, so we should all have plenty of people to work with. I mean, we have several Occultists, three Alterists, two Mystics, two Telepaths, two in Destruction, an Alchemist, and so on. I think every type of magic has been done at least once.

Three in alteration? There's mine and then I recall somebody else being a combination of destruction and alteration. Who was the third that I missed?
Three in alteration? There's mine and then I recall somebody else being a combination of destruction and alteration. Who was the third that I missed?
There are two people using a combo of alteration and destruction. Matuna is using combat magic (a fusion of both) and Korthul, the half-orc, is using both alteration and destruction (but not fusing them together, like Matuna).
Counting your bitter middle-aged man, we now have three alterists. Plus the Prince is an alterist, so now there are four
If it bothers you, I can make the Prince purely telepathic.
