[OOC] Teen Titans: Divided We Fall

It is at this point I should point out that the team doesn't necessarily need to elect a single leader. They could have the role divided among several team members, for example they could have their tactician who plans missions and gives them their orders, a field leader who is able to adjust for complications during battle and rally the team back together and a public face who to the outside world is the team's leader and deals with the politics of it all.

While we certainly have a number of capable team members, I've noticed that no one is really well rounded enough to lead every aspect of the team. We all have our pros and cons, so I think Wraith's suggestion of multiple leaders is the most logical way to go with this.

Rhea/Cell: She's certainly the most caring of the titans. Her heart of gold and tendency to give braveheart speeches makes her a good candidate for leadership. Yet, she lacks any tactical ability and has a phobia that would hinder her greatly during combat. I'd elect her for a more political leadership role in the team, as their public face and moral center.

Simone/Pistolera: Simone's the closest of us to Rose. She obviously has some sort of military background, and has shown to ability to develop on the fly tactics under the stress of combat. But she's antisocial and keeps secrets, as well as lacking any real deep connections with her teammates. Pistolera would make a decent tactical leader. She'd be our Batman, essentially.

Accelerate/Amazon: Both warriors in their own right. They have the bravado and skills to lead their teammates during the rigors of combat. Accelerate's serious demeanor leans itself well to making cool headed choices. Amazon was raised on an island of soldiers, and shows that he has no fear to disable him during battle. They'd make good field leaders for Alpha and Beta teams. However, they both have major issues they need to work out before I'd say they were ready to lead the team in its entirety.

If public face includes being Justice League liason, I'd say Cell because of her demeanor. Otherwise I'd say Amazon, because of his charisma and comfort with the English language, while not a big deal OOC, may be a bit odd In Character for the American public to be addressed by her. But I totally see her as the supreme choice in terms of who should communicate between the teens and adults.

Pistolera should easily be a field leader and prepatory analyzer person. Agreed, she's the Batman. Really I should just say I'm curious where Sam's taking her. In case of her downfall, I suggest Rufus take charge.

@Weird Tales Hey bud, you know a bit about the New Gods. What was the crack with them pre-Flashpoint? I seem to remember something about them all being dead, and requiring resurrection or something? I could check out online the full story, but I'm just wanting the bare bones details.

I'm not the one you want, but the gist is that they're not only dead, but replaced by another generation. Grant Morrison's fifth world replaced Jack Kirby's Fourth. In Final Crisis they say something like Earth is to the fifth world what something was to the fourth world. But basically I'd imagine the Newer Gods to be based on Superheroes, moreso than Super Young Team, which replaced the Forever People, was.
