"Whatever. Just hurry up before we get in trouble for being late. There's probably important information to be had from this." The look of slight irritation still hadn't left her face, but what could she do? She'd have to deal with whatever arose as consequence later.
Upon reaching the classroom, she tossed out the now-bare lollipop stick into the trash before finding an open seat near the front of the room. Being near the center had merits, but since it was the first day, she needed to set an example. She had to claim her position and rights early on, or staying on top of them would prove to be more difficult later.
Start strong, end stronger. There are times for surprise, but taking control is easier than stealing it. Placing the items she had just received on the desk and propping the parasol against the chair, she removed a cherry candy from her pocket for the announcements.
