"Don't worry, all employees of DeRi Smithing are well paid and treated!" DeRi smiled as she once again attempted to drag Kytel with her, "You can get good pay, health, dental and life insurance, and chances at promotion! Here, I'll even buy you something as a welcome to the company gift!"

Alice realized DeRi might be a bit over jubilant about this whole situation, but it had to be done. Happiness tends to get people better than being angry or depressed. Although she now had the issue of what to actually buy the boy. New gear would be nice, as would a nice meal; Alice heard that ARE had quite an advanced taste system and wondered how good it actually was. Fortunately, she had herself a new test subject.

"Say, Kytel," DeRi turned to look the boy in the eyes, "What do you want more, equipment or food?"

Araris sighed. He had planned to go alone, but then these two had shown up and now one wanted her friend to join. As they were talking, they were walking along a faint path in the plains. The walk had been suspiciously peaceful so far, but Araris still kept his eyes open for trouble. "No, three people is plenty for a small party. Anymore and the money and exp is spread too thin and other problems arise." He said flatly. Some movement caught his attention. "Also, larger parties scare rare monsters and attract--Watch out." Araris broke off, grabbed Rouge and pulled her out of the way as a giant snake burst up from the ground, poisonous fangs snapping. "It is a Wildsnake! Scatter! he shouted, his mind immediately running strategies, "Surround it and distract it, but stay away from those poisonous fangs and its tail. Most importantly, don't let it wrap around you!" He drew his sword with a swift motion and attacked, drawing it's attention.

Behold the beautiful bright big bodied beams booming and bursting begetting a backwash of brilliance behind the badmouthed bastard bearing bad-ass bravado that breeds beguilement. That's right ladies and gentlemen, RedDoc is now completely kitted out. He takes long, proud steps out from the cosmetics store. Though there aren't actually any heavenly lights shining upon him, it definitely feels like there are. And though he's still technically wearing starter gear, it's the confidence boost of a sick as balls new outfit that's going to help him through the initial area. He stretches his arms and legs, taking a good look at his outfit and grinning slightly in satisfaction. Now that that's sorted...

It's time to beat the ever-loving shit out of stuff.

What is to follow is a swathe of destruction in his wake as he takes frequent trips between the nearby wilderness and the town. It's all about the potions kids. Fight until you feel like your arms are about to explode and then run away like a little girl (respectfully). He's not really doing too much interesting. Just going about and completing the starter and side quests. The sooner he gets to get to the cooler parts of the game the better, and he's wasting no time in order to get there. This carries on for a while and he finds himself starting to catch up to those who had already begun playing while he was off shopping. Mind you, those people have stopped every now and then to actually make friends. Which he'll get around to. Eventually. Though he can't help but pause sometimes to observe just how goddamn tall he is, even compared to regular sized humans. Half-dragon master race indeed. Reminds him of how he feels at work.

After what can only be visualized as an 80's montage in the form of a half-dragon man dressed as a doctor beating the fuck out of unsuspecting wildlife and aggressively speaking to the local populace and running away the moment they give him their seemingly endless amounts of Cor, RedDoc finds himself experiencing one of the worst things in an MMO. Too many fucking sidequests. With so many different tasks to do all at once he stops. How long has he been doing this? God damn. Maybe it's time he have a break. And no, not a break from the game. Just a break from the quests. He spins on his heel and picks a random direction to start walking in. This way seems about right.

After some travel he happens across some other players. Hm. Maybe a chance to ta-HOLY SHIT.

Angels from above sing down to him as he witnesses a massive snake appear before the other players. Not really, but once again, he likes to imagine. He opens his quest log and painfully zips his way through it. Is this the snake from his quest? Come on... Shit, it's not. He huffs and almost goes to walk away before he remembers. He's here to get away from all that questing for a while. Hm. He crosses his arms over his chest and starts to approach them, calling out.

"You lot need a hand over there or do you reckon you can handle it?"

In any case, he's at least gonna stay to watch.

Kytel found himself somewhat regretting his succumbing to this girl's whims, though if she really were going to compensate him for his time then it couldn't be all that bad, suppose this was also a unique opportunity in of itself. A more positive line of thinking provided some comfort, and probably did improve his mood, even if by an unnoticeable amount. In the end he still didn't have any intention of sticking with his "boss" suppose he'll just have find his exit later done the line.

He gave her question serious consideration for what was better, higher quality gear, or food? Hmm... a new sword or sturdier armor would definably be a better long-term investment, though if ARE was like other MMOs equipment gets replaced a lot at lower levels, so it might be a waste when a stronger weapon was just around the corner. Food on the other hand could be far more interesting, maybe not practical but interesting. Of course Kytel knew about the "taste" system in place, now that would honestly be pretty neat actually eating in a virtual world wasn't something he could just pass up.

Kytel decided on what he wanted, hopefully there were no strings attached... so to speak. "Well... food is always a good option so I can probably go for that, and with that taste system it wouldn't be a bad experience either." He nodded in confirmation. "Yeah, if you're letting me pick then I say we find a meal, I know there are plenty of places around here."

"Than let's go!" DeRi cheerfully began to half lead, half drag Kytel down the street, "Just point out which ever one you'd like to go to!"

Inside Alice's mind, the plan was relined and back on track. All she had to do was convince Kytel and boom, there was her first employee. Perhaps a little bonus wouldn't be too bad, it was always a good thing to spoil some people in a business for a variety of reasons. Perhaps she should stand up the boy as a role model for future employees. If she employed this tactic, she might be able to increase work production and thus her profit margins even more. All what wonderful planning and plotting!

"Hey, Kytel," DeRi spoke to the boy in her sweet voice, "Do you have any ideas what you'll do for Passive skills?"

Mari_Hime sighed as she waited for her friend to reply. Perhaps she should explore around some more before they met up. Though she was not sure what to do at this point. She wandered back into the Town of Beginnings and decided to walk around and check out the incredible graphics. She decided to check out one of the clothing stores just to see what they had to offer. Once she arrived, she was somewhat disappointed. It might be because this was the Town of Beginnings but their clothes looked so tacky. Mari figured the better looking stuff were player-crafted or on the higher floors.

She glanced down on her beginner armor set. It was rather plain but that was expected. Walking back onto the streets, she saw a female player dragging a male player to who knows where. Curious, she went up towards them, but quickly turned back. She shouldn't just interfere with them. What if they were an item and then she would be third-wheeling? She continued to pace back and forth, not sure whether to approach them or not. There were plenty of people to interact with that are not them. Yet, she did want to make friends with someone and maybe they would be friends. But maybe Angel would reply back and want to meet her anyways. On the other hand, maybe Angel forgot all about her. But what about their tailoring business! Well, it was mostly Angel's idea but Mari was willing to always lend a hand.

She shook her head, trying to shake away her thoughts. She was thinking too much again. She's decided to let the two be and maybe try Angel in this gigantic place. Well, if she wasn't in the marketplace or in the clothing shop, where would she be now...

All she did was ask questions, one after the other, didn't she ever feel like talking about anything else? Kytel sighed, good news is this one took little thinking as he was already decided on the matter. "I don't plan on going into crafting not for a while anyway, if that's what you're really wondering. Maybe the attack debuff aura, but I haven't worried about skill points or anything honestly."

Kytel at the same time was still scanning the marketplace, there sure were a lot of stalls and a handful of bigger shops, even more staggering was the variety of stuff these businesses offered. Eventually he eyes fell upon a restaurant that appeared to be good, although calling it a restaurant was probably generous, more like one those hole in the wall places. Above printed on a sign was a name "The SandVich" clearly some dev had fun naming this place... anyway that said a NPC cashier was standing at the counter, showing the eatery was open and he was ready to fulfill an order.

At first glance the "restaurant" seemed to only serve sandwiches, given it's name that wasn't surprising. From where they stood he couldn't make out the massive blackboard that served as the menu, in a sort of deli style, although if he were to guess it worked just like in real life, choose some meat, cheese, and whatever else to make your own sandwich.

Kytel pointed to The SandVich. "So what do you think about eating there? Shouldn't be anytime too expensive."

She was not a fan of one of the people in her party, and was seriously considering leaving and joining her friend, maybe bringing the other member of the group along. "Rouge. Easier to say. I use it everywhere." Before she could get any farther into the conversation, she was bowled over unexpectedly by the same person she wouldn't mind doing the same to. She did see the snake eventually -it was kind of hard to miss- but had the one friendly party member not been there, she would have left the other guy to die. As she was standing up, another person joined in. A...doctor? Scientist? Something. Whatever he was, he asked to join in on their fun, albeit with different words.

"We don't need help, per se. But if you'd be so inclined, I wouldn't complain. Would make this fight end sooner so I can get to things that aren't so boring. So...yeah, join us!" I really hope this isn't my dad, she thought. Before joining the others in the fight, however, she thought she'd at least send a reply to her friend. Would only be polite.

In a fight. Will join you after. Giant snake. Too combat focust.
Distrugerea_Inger

The spelling on the last word was something she thought of sort of as her signature; she always spelled the last word in a weird way, even if it could possibly change the meaning. Sort of an identity confirmation, in her mind.

With that, she yelled out, "Alok!" And her minion rose out of the ground to join her once again in her quest to transcend the boring content.

"Rouge, huh? I like it." she responded in a light tone. She flinched when the other girl she was talking to was suddenly pushed aside. She turned to Araris who had gone into a combat stance. She glanced at the man in the doctors outfit before she looked back at the giant snake that had spawned in front of them. It looks like a.. field boss? Maybe one of those Mini bosses that she's been told about. Who knows, it looked pretty strong. "It'll make things easier if you join~" she responded as she quickly sent a party invite to the Doctor. By now she had already created some distance from the snake, in case it targeted her, but fortunately, it was locked onto Araris.

She unsheathed her sword as she sprinted toward the snake, relatively unobstructed since it was focused on Araris. "Yol!" she called out as as fireball formed in her hand. she flicked her wrist, launching the fireball. It hit the snake in the side of it's face, causing it to change targets to her. It hissed angrily as it lashed it's long tail violently at her. She managed to dive roll over it; she recovered quickly, slashing at it. She activated her Aura, slowing the attack speed of the snake.

"Seems alright I guess..." DeRi honestly thought that the simple sandwich was a bit... plebeian. But a promise was a promise as she walked up to the counter and looked at all of the meats and cheese available. There was some that she could recognize, ham, chicken, provolone, swiss and than there was some of the more fantasy ones that really caught her eye. There was redwood smoked ham (related to black forest ham?), goats milk aged cheddar (she was at a lost for what this was) and than what looked like smoked fish (did delis even have fish?).

"Hey, Kytel, what do you recommend?" DeRi turned to the boy, curiosity shimmering in her eyes.

Menu was fairly normal for the most part, just no idea who would get the fish... now that was pretty far out of the normal. "Uh... turkey, roast beef, some of that chicken, and a few slices of aged cheddar, basically what I'd get in real life, also not sure if I'm ready for some of these... fictional... things?." He didn't quite have the words for them.

Kytel went ahead to place his order, of course with the ingredients he talked about, DeRi can order her own after him. After she orders the NPC employee would actually go into the storefront's back room as if preparing their food, for all Kytel knew that's actually what he was doing. A surprisingly short time passed when the NPC returned with their pieces of bread with more foodstuff crammed in the middle, basically sandwiches. He placed them on the counter, all that remained was the issue of payment, Kytel waited on the girl, after all it was supposed to be on her.

Within an instant, RedDoc accepts the invite and gets to work. It's time to kick some scaly ass. He activates his aura to give himself a boosted attack speed and charges forwards. So far his methods of beating the beginner creatures has been to just pummel them into submission before they get a chance to properly fight back. But this thing will take something special. Approaching it from the side he launches himself into the air, sailing clean towards the snake's head. Here we go.

He latches onto the beast's head from the top, gripping it tightly with one hand as the other lifts back. And then, he begins beating the shit out of it's head. At first it flinches in confusion, but soon hisses loudly and starts flailing it's head around. RedDoc barely manages to stay on, keeping up his assault as he does so. He can only imagine how badass he must look right now. This is such a good idea. He attempts to keep it distracted so everyone else can get a chance to attack, but the snake does something he failed to take into account.

He cries out in surprise as the snake suddenly rams the top of it's head against a nearby tree. Okay this isn't such a good idea. Shit shit shit. RedDoc stops punching it in order to keep his grip. If he can't hit it he can at least keep it distracted. So long as it doesn't crush him before everyone else finishes it o- oh ow ow ow oh god damnit. The snake flattens it's head on the ground, crushing him again. At this point it starts to go crazy.

"Feel-AH!-free t-OH GOD-to kill-OW-the bloody-GGGHH-thing!"

If it doesn't die in the next few seconds he's gonna have to let go. Well, if it doesn't die in the next few seconds he's gonna probably die, which will definitely make him let go.

Shit.

With an animated skeleton by her side, Rouge ran toward the giant snake, which seemed to be in a bit of a frenzy with the doctor-man attached to it. She felt kind of bad for him, since he literally just joined the group, and just happened to find it. For all she knew, he was like her, only fighting because this game made it a necessity. However, given his gusto, he probably enjoyed it...at least until he started losing. That left him with a giant snake all to himself. "You seem to be enjoying yourself. Sorry to interrupt your fun."

It didn't take long for both her and her skeleton minion to take proper form and scratch away at the scales with their different attacks, walking circles around it opposite each other. The skeleton had some freaky claws this time, so it was doing a bit more damage than the tip-slashes of her blade, though she very much enjoyed when she lunged and slid under a scale. She hoped her skeleton would draw aggro from everyone else, at least long enough for everyone to be able to fight it effectively. "How does this thing eat, anyway? Does it have two throats?"
