15 years ago, the five nations faced a calamity known today as the dark spirit of destruction. Millions have died and thousands lost their families. I lost my sister that day too. The world was plunged into an absolute dictatorship, governed by the “Dark Avatar”. Future Industries commercialized the future, shaping the world into what it is today. Balance has been tampered with as the Avatar, master of all four elements, disappeared. The faith of the people is shaken. Values and spirituality are tainted, the world twisted without its rightful Avatar. Although there is no Avatar, the world is better of without him; the Dark Avatar is the unseen messiah and made believe to everyone that his reign makes the world a better place by the Red Lotus.

State of the World Address

Balance is needed to keep the nations in harmony. Regardless, there is always change, for better or for worst. Indifference and discrimination happened as neophyte peoples sever ties from their forefathers.

Countless revolution armies formed. The ONYX are a group of benders and non bender. The rebel group led by Rin, the Sky Maiden, renowned assassin and airbender constantly at odds with the Emperor’s designs, despite all his efforts. While all this unrest boils on the mainland, the games of diplomacy turn more and more deadly as the eyes of the world turn to the Fire Nation, even now accusing whispers of revolution or support for a false avatar simmer in the halls of power.

Curfew
Lock your doors and keep to yourself. In the aftermath of the Emperor’s ascension and the troubling times ahead, the world is under martial law. Soldiers prowl the centers of civilization, ruling over the reluctant populace with terror and violence, dissidents disappearing rather than becoming martyrs. Only the Fire Nation is not haunted by the specter of the Emperor’s ‘peacekeepers’, though nowhere can escape his long reach forever.

Until today...

People were brainwashed and proclaiming that was wrong now right, meaning twisted beliefs implemented by the Dark Avatar and his laws. A summit is held in Republic City for the most powerful people in the world, coming together to address the growing threats to the new regime. In the shadows, the Emperor’s Intelligence service prowls, seeking out the suspicious or seditious and removing them without a trace, fighting a successful but ultimately hopeless battle against the spreading ideas of partisan action.

Book 1: Restoration

September 5 795 A.G , Soon to be Lunchtime.

A bright day awaits us all. Regardless of our actions, what purpose do they serve? We often ask ourselves why are we here? Who are we and what do we want? Ever said by Iroh the Dragon of the West. Is our purpose ours? or is it someone else destiny imposed on us?

Republic City, the capital of the world and the most hi-tech and modern city along the earth kingdom. Founded by Avatar Aang and Firelord Zuko, it still remains prosperous. What lies in this modern city? A journey of course. A journey that is yet to take place for the individuals that is to set their foot on the pro bending match that is about to take place in few hours.

Meanwhile, at the exclusive penthouse of the Firelord world leaders gather. Princesses Sunye and Sakura are training in the dojo. It is clear that the reason of the presence of the Firelord’s daughter and midwife is to be present is for such an important meeting. The Firelord, however is reluctant to have her daughter footloose again, hence Princess Sunye’s to letting her and Princess Sakura relax and do whatever they please while the second born replaces them for the meeting.

Arc 1
Embark your adventure at Republic City. Every citizen is talking about the pro-bending match and sign ups this noon, broadcasted all over the media be it radio or phone, tv, it is all there! The Fire Ferrets vs The Fairy Tales are going to be one hell of a match! Who would take on the prize of a lifetime. Come visit us now!

The prize is stated to be luxurious, house n lot, millions of money, and a golden egg?!
Meanwhile in the Penthouse, Dojo.

Sparring session with the princesses, Sakura and Sunye is had been the pattern every time they meet each other, it is one way of Sunye showing her love to her niece and since Sakura's father the Firelord is in an important meeting right now, they are bonding through sparring. "Let's take a break for now, have some tea. It helps calm the mind, the next step of your training will be an advanced set, need not worry Princess Sakura. Sometimes looking deep inward can cause the mind to be stressed. LET'S GO OUT THERE AND HAVE SOME FUN! Maybe we can go shopping, go to some beauty parlor, or watch this probending match, maybe we could join too!" The older princess seems to have her guard down, will it be called a break or not?

Lee walked down the street that led to his humble workplace. It wasn’t anything prestigious or grand and the pay wasn’t all that great, but never the less he was happy with it. Finally the small restaurant was in front of his eyes. As he was preparing to enter he did notice there was another commotion going on all around the place. The pro-bending match that was being advertised all around in almost all media, over all that wasn’t something the water bender had much interest in those ‘fights’. That team popular sport event was something he extremely disliked. The only reason he would watch it occasionally was because sometimes you could see interesting moves.

“Ahh, Lee, just in time as usual!” The owner of the restaurant quickly greeted him as he stepped through the door. The man appeared to be in quite the good mood.” Has something happened, boss? You appear to be in very good mood.” Lee said with a smile as he went to change into his uniform. “Yes! I expect because of today’s pro-bending match, the number of clients will be greater than then ever before! There will be way more people than the arena would allow! The others who wish to view it in good conditions will head to places such as ours! Look I even bought a new TV for the occasion!” The owner stated with a laugh. Lee personally couldn’t care about the match, but he did appreciate the possibility of more clients. Taking a look at his old mobile phone to check the time, he quickly began to prepare the tables. He briefly wondered if he should change the pretty ancient mobile phone he was using to a modern one, but quickly decided it wasn’t a great idea given how easy the new ones were to track and he didn’t want anyone being able to track him just for holding one of those things."I wonder why I have this feeling... something is gona happen..." He said quietly to himself. Was he just getting paranoid...?

Takeshi was strolling down the street, everything around him was mentioning the probending tonight, even the people were excited about it. Never in his life had he heard of probending so this was a new experience for him, which he was intrigued about. There seemed to be sign-ups to participate in the event later on in the night, and Takeshi might consider participating. But for now, he needed to focus on what he was doing; he needed to buy some food. He ran through the city looking for the store; when he finally arrived at the store, Takeshi saw a huge poster for the probending match, which was the final "nail in the coffin" to convince Takeshi to at least go. It was a colorful poster with giant letters advertising the match between the Fire Ferrets and The Fairy Tales, speaking of the opportunity to "show what you've got" on the bottom side.

Takeshi got the food he needed and walked out towards where he was living for the time being. The place wasn't all that bad, it was a rather small home with a landlord who Takeshi had to pay rent to, but the rent was worth it because it had a small area in the back where he could continue to train unbothered. The only problem was the money because he had some... questionable methods of acquiring it. No one will notice the missing floor pieces right? The only job he managed to find was selling wood and stone to a construction company and a lot of the time those materials come from the floors of unsuspecting homeowner; not the most honest of os but it allowed him to put earthbending to "good" use and it payed decently. Takeshi was preparing to go tothe probending but he stopped; something felt weird, he just wasn't sure whether it was good-weird or bad-weird.

Sakura slowly relaxed her stance momentarily to wipe the sweat that had been accumulating at her brow during the spar. During training her aunt never did like to go easy on her, but this was partially due to a request a long time ago. Some would say that is also what helped make Sakura into the fantastic firebender she is today. Sparring though wasn’t just training for them; it was family time. These brief hours of practice were the greatest interactions Sakura usually got to have as her father was busy with politics. Training with her aunt was her favorite time of day due to this as well as escapism from her usually enclosed life. Today was different though. Sakura was going to be able to go out and see around for once. Even if it wasn’t alone, at least unlike before she wasn’t breaking out and getting into trouble. Yet, at the same time an opportunity has presented itself and wasting a few seconds of roaming the city was well worth the chance.

Sakura quickly reset her stance into an attack on her aunt. “Dropped your guard!” she called out to her aunt as they were family, not enemies, and she didn’t intend to have her aunt be completely defenseless to her fire. It was a series of three kicks to send three bolts of fire at her aunt hoping that because she didn’t guard she would be knocked off balance after protecting herself. After which Sakura would run in and perform a leap into the air to flip around her mother and send a sweeping leg kick directly after. If her aunt hit the floor upon being hit by the kick which she didn’t use fire on as to not hurt her aunt, then Sakura would consider herself the victor. Sakura would easily be smiling the entire time due to the enjoyment no matter what the outcome was.

"Not quite." The unshaken Princess balances herself. A reminiscent of the great Firelord Zuko is performed, Sunye countered by using the late lord's break dancing technique, taking down her niece and this is done without the flames, indeed Sunye doesn't go easy in teaching her niece but that is all for the goodness and graces that makes her niece a remarkable firebender. On the contrary, she does go easy but not totally easy, the gap between them is questionable and arguably the edge goes to the superior princess. However, Sunye declared that the victory goes to Sakura despite countering her. "Precision, Princess Sakura. You can never be sure when your opponent is down or making a counter, which is why it is best to make clean hits." She helped her niece get up.

"You are qualified to learn this technique and the advanced set of your training which includes lightning and redirection that is why I have prepared us tea but no matter...." Sunye is an amazing aunt, she can change her speech pattern from formal to informal as quick as lightning. "Let's knock ourselves and have fun!" Burning her royal clothing off and changed into casual clothing. At the same time, the fun aunt dragged her niece out of the penthouse. Generating lightning from her hand blowing up the window, carrying her and jumped out of the building like a knight in a shining armor with her princess. Princesses got out free as a bird, little do they know that such action caused a commotion among the citizens.

It was all due to Princess Sunye's fiery flight move that they were able to land safely. "Welcome to the outside world, I'm not gonna stop you from your heart's desire." She smiled. Who would have thought Princess Sunye is a fun and wise aunt?!

A black haired man approached the young man with blonde hair. "You're that kid staring at our poster. By any chance are you interested in joining The Fairy Tales or The Fire Ferrets." Suddenly the weirdness begun, girls were screaming; "Oh my GOSH! It's Toneri Satou the heir of Future Industries and the star of the Fairy Tales!" They screamed. The man named Toneri told the blonde dude to run. "Dude. As much as I wanna talk to you, can't tell you all the details right now, mind meeting me at the City Hall? Catch me if you can before these ladies do. Here's a GPS." He gave the GPS free to the young man for him to be tracked.

Meanwhile the owner of the restaurant. "Lee my boy! I forgot something, it's about the pro bending match and I want you to join and get the awesome cash. They are offering huge amounts of cash and I dunno where to start but I trust you okay!"

“Agh…” Lee nearly dropped the plates he was cleaning when his boss told him to go and win that reward. For a moment the waterbender thought if he was discovered, but it didn’t appear so. He did prove he is great fighter in that event a few months back though.” Fine boss… but I’m keeping the uniform of the restaurant on think of it as sponsor advertisement.” Lee replied. Frankly he had no desire for the great money reward or the luxurious home, but there was that intriguing golden egg. But if he presented a good show on this pro bending match with the logo and uniform of the restaurant, clients were sure to increase. The uniform was comfortable anyway to allow for whole day working without causing discomfort. So it was going to be good enough for a fight.

“See you after the match boss…” Lee said as he quickly walked out of the small restaurant and headed in the direction where the match was going to be held at. Lee had confidence in his martial arts as they served as a base for his bending. He even picked some stances from the other nations to increase his own skills. So he had the confidence to at least put up a good fight without his bending, the only problem that remained was that if there were a master bender from the North present, that person might have been able to recognize Lee. He haven’t changed much in the last 2 years since he left the North.” *sigh* I’m going to think about it if it happens…” He whispered to himself.

As he walked down the street Lee noticed a commotion going on. People on the streets were panicking about some random lightning and explosion that happened at some penthouse somewhere. Lighting and fire… a combination he knew very well, but he did wonder exactly who was this fire bender who didn’t care if he caused that much of a commotion

Takeshi thought of his encounter with that Toneri guy and looked at the GPS he was given back at the store. He put what he had bought on the kitchen table and turned towards the door. The thought of using bending to fight as a sport never ocurred to him and it scared him a little. Rather than fearing for himself, he feared for his opponent, should he choose to join. His occasional moments of insanity would prove dangerous for the lives of those in front of him if they happen, which they did unexpectedly. In this moment of thought, he heard a loud noise coming from outside, which forced him to snap out of his little "meditation".

The door opened to reveal a large group of people crowding near a hotel, where it seemed lighting had been shot out of. His bag of rocks began to shake as Takeshi moved down the street, he needed to be ready should chaos ensue so he began to move them around, ready to dig them into any sort of outlaw. Luckily, it wasn't necessary since nothing seemed to come out of the whole incident other than curious eyes and a rather costly bill-he assumed, chuckling- which caused him to leave the bag alone. The eyes on Takeshi were now resting on the GPS in his hands, as he tracked the movements of Toneri. Finally, Takeshi was standing at thr City Hall, now looking for this strange man.

The GPS indicated that Toneri was close, but Takeshi couldn't spot him. "Maybe those girls did end up getting him before me" he said, laughing at the prospect of a guy captured by many crazed fans. His mind quickly changed topic to what team he wanted to join. The names were both equally strange but catchy to him and the people that were featured on the poster looked roughly the same (maybe because of the helmet thing they wore) so that wasn't his decision. Takeshi then thought back to his encounter with Toneri, where the girls mentioned that he was in the Fairy Tales, and he figured if he was gonna probend through this guy, he might as well probend with him. "Yeah, I think I'll be in the Fairy Tales" he finally said to himself after giving it some more thought, while looking around to see if this Toneri was anywhere near him.

Sakura lands on the ground behind her aunt to be met with her leg knocking her over and ending the fight. “Ompf!” Sakura yelled out as her breath was knocked out in the attack and she slowly got up holding her side after her aunt helped her up. Smiling, but jumping slightly due to the pain as she said. “That one is going to leave a bruise…” Having shaken the pain off for now by walking around she then said, “Yeah yeah,” as a reply to her aunt’s teaching. “Thought for sure you had let your guard down this time though… I even sent three shots before hand just to be sure.” Sakura was used to this by now though and seemed to be able to take it in stride. “I think I should have instead continued my barrage from a distance that time… but I really wanted to knock you down on the floor.” One good thing about Sakura was her ability to judge her mistakes in combat after training as it was a bit less serious than a real fight. It helped her grow when she re did the fight in her mind.

Her ears perked when her aunt brought up a more advanced technique and smiles. “Really?” she said in the middle of her aunt’s sentence, but that’s when her aunt quickly changed her tone and surprised Sakura and everyone on the street below. As she burned her clothes off Sakura widened her eyes. <Those weren’t very cheap…> she originally though before saying. “Alright, let me get changed—“. The chance wouldn’t come though as her aunt went through the motions and in shock Sakura watched her blow up a window. “Your side of the family is where my impulse comes from you know!” she yelled out as she was suddenly grabbed and flying out the window. “Everyone is looking at us,” Sakura then said upon their landing. Her aunt’s words made her stop for a moment though and she turned to her. “Wait… I can just go around?” she asked before getting a wide smile. “Really?” Quickly she grabbed her own Aunt’s hand and began dragging her off in a direction. Sakura was right after all, it did run in the family. “I wanted to go see those probending matches! Maybe I can learn a thing or two. I rarely ever get to see other bending types!”

Whomever the person who caused the commotion was, didn’t appear to be someone who was just going to admit it after all. The chaos was created, but no one appeared to take credit for it. Not that it mattered in the current state of the world. Things were already too twisted and everyone had forgotten the balance. It wasn’t that Lee had something against progress, but the way the technology was pushed first before all else showed it’s effects. He vaguely wondered what he was doing here in Republic City. He originally decided to live here because no one knew him, but now he was about to make himself present in front of so many people.” I wonder if I should actually return back home…” He thought aloud, looking at the skies. So far there appeared to be nothing for him to keep him in RC. He even wondered why he actually waited years before thinking about leaving it.

Eventually after a decent amount of walking, he was finally at the coordinates where people were supposed to register for the pro-bending matches. Not sure exactly what the registration procedures were, Lee quickly found one of the people who were responsible for registering the applicants.” Excuse me, what should I do in order to register for the pro-bending matches?” He asked politely with a smile.
