Hollow watched her eat with a rather amused face, after all being dead he didn't require food and it had been a very long time since he had eaten. He looked into her orange eyes and smiled, it wasn't like he could be a horrible person to everyone he met...and he had picked Kassy to be nice to. When she ate the Pizza he could tell it wasn't her favorite so he just nodded and motioned for her to try the next thing the macaroni must have not been very cheesy because it didn't seem to suit her palate either, but when she reached the cheeseburger her eyes went wide and her face filled with pleasure at the taste, Hollow also noticed the little motes of light and color that were appearing around her, they were beautiful...when she asked him a question he was pulled out of his daze and smiled at her, "I see that you are carnivorous..." He waved his hand as if showing her a beautiful future, "The answer to your question is yes...we can eat this...and many many other wonderful things like it!" His eyes glowed brightly as he spoke as if he were talking about a whole new world.

Kassy looked completely happy in this moment. "Oh, yay! I like this school already. I've only eaten fish and shark and clam, but this is so much different! The texture and flavor are... indescribable, truly!" It probably looked strange to others, she realized, that she was so excited over eating. She tried to rein it in, and the sparkles started to fade a bit. She saw Mike waving at her out of the corner of her eye, and she returned the gesture with a smile. Then she looked back to Hollow, her gaze curious.

"May I ask you a question, Hollow? I... I'm not sure how to phrase it so I apologize if I offend. What sort of... of being are you? I don't think you're human. Your skin is cool, and humans don't bioluminesce like you." She stared at his glowing eyes. "It's very pretty. Green is one of my favorite colors. Are you aquatic too?"

"Well... It's gonna be interesting." She ate a few french fries, stalling for time. "The first thing we'll be learning is basic gun care and shooting. I... I don't know how I'm gonna deal with it, honestly. I'm trying to prepare and hope at the same time. So far I just can't stop thinking." She sighed faintly. "But! I'll be fine, as usual. How are your parents?"

Roxy shrugged. "I suppose so. I don't really understand the big deal."She knew little about that kind of stuff. She wasn't exactly a social person. Still it couldn't hurt to have an acquaintance or two. Her father had a few people that he trusted. Still she was the cautious type and wouldn't be trusting anyone for awhile. She wasn't above accepting aid though. "I am not very picky. Put I think I am in the mood for pizza and give me a general direction of the booth I am sure I can find it."

"I'm doing okay" Pheohe said, watching the boy, still crouched almost protectively. Was there something wrong? Pheohe couldn't tell. But when he took the glasses, and put them on, he seemed to relax, although didn't get out of his crouch. "What about you? And what happened to cause the kids...attack?"

Kalinda knew that Roxy didn't have any oRticular warm feelings towards bedroom,
Nor anyone right then, but seemed content to accept help. Kalinda didn't really care about warm feelings. Although there were some feelings out there that she wouldn't mind having herself. Like the falling sensation of...the beginnings of love. People really didn't know just how literally the saying falling in love was. Kalinda wasn't s romantic, but she imagined that it was a warm,

Fuzzy feeling and it was something she wanted. A little bit of happiness. She looked back t Roxy, "I can't really tell you how the pizza is here, at least not the meat pizza, but most students seem to have it. One girl appears to be considered a love affair with it so it must be good" Kalinda surprised herself by giving a soft laugh, "it's just over here" she said, guiding Roxy to it, reaching over to grab them a plate each. "I can direct you to a bench, but there's a lot of people. Are you good at walking in crowds of hungry, excited, powered kids?"

"Guns aren't that bad" Connor said, "dad made me learn to use one, before he'd let me even start on a suit. Something about how can I control the suit, basically a weapon, if I couldn't control a gun. I prefer the suit, but as long as you don't do anything stupid, you'll be fine" he gave her what he hoped was a reassuring smile, "of course you will be fine. They're good, they keep on talking about a vacation, but it's never going to

Hollow kept his glowing green eyes fixed on her, he had decided that she was going to be his friend, probably his only one at this school. The thought made him smile, but that's when reality came crashing in on him with a simple question, "What sort of being are you?" He listened to the whole question as a bit of sadness filled his eyes, when people found out what he was they almost always ridiculed him, hated him, feared him. Hollow looked back into her eyes and remained motionless for a moment, "You're right...I'm not human anymore..." He held out his left hand as a green flame the color of his eyes appeared in it, "My name used to be Tyler Wentz...before I died..." he turned the green fire into a small jack-o-Lantern with a green glow coming from inside, "I was used as a human sacrifice by a sorceress in dark green...she tried to use my soul to seal away one of the oldest human spirits...Halloween..." He looked back into her eyes, "The Spirit of Halloween managed to outsmart the sorceress by funneling all of his power into my dead body...in the process I was brought back to life...But I'm still dead..." His eyes were filled with pain and worry, he knew what was coming next, she would be terrified of him, "I came back into this world as Hollow...an empty husk...and I'll be like this forever..."

Kassy listened to the entire explanation, seriousness in her eyes. She saw him shift, recognizing the posture of shame, as subtle as it was. She'd worn that sort of look a thousand times in her life. When he stopped, the look in his eyes like he was bracing for attack, Kassy couldn't contain herself.

"But you're not empty! I can promise you that." There was a determined sort of pout on her face. "My mother was a medium- she could slip between this world and the Eternal Sea. She spoke to people in that Sea, and gave relief to those they left behind. So... when you say you died, all that was you... was not lost." Realizing she was probably being too excited, she inhaled nervously and took a long drink of water.

"I understand having people fear your power, a power you never chose. And that moment when you work up the courage to tell the truth... Seeing that look, that look of someone who thinks that suddenly you're holding a knife to their throat, when you're the one getting stabbed." Shaking her head, she looked him right in the eyes. "I will tell you something true. I am not afraid of you, Tyler. Not even a bit."

"yeah. I stayed at school during the break, at Sam's, but spent a couple of days with her. She's always around, you know. If you want to talk with her, you can always contact her via a plant message" Phoebe said, watching the boy with some concern. He seemed to be composing himself, but was still a long way off from normal. "Ah. How has your first day been?"

"I will give her a message over the phone instead" Nicholas shook his head,"My day was interesting to say never the less i made a new friend his name is Harry.." Nicholas pointed to Harry who might have his glasses put one once more."How was your day so far?" Nicholas asked her sounding emotionless like he always was.

"I am used to crowed lunchrooms filled with hungry excited kids but the whole power thing is new to me." Roxy explained. She had gone to a regular elementary and middle school. But for high school she and her father decided that the academy might be the best way for her to train to identify powers and abilities and how to handle them. She would almost feel the powers in the air. She hoped that she could adapt to the new challenges these teens presented.

Tyler was frozen, for the first time since he had died, someone actually cared enough to look into the darkness and see him. His eyes softened more than they ever had since his rebirth as she spoke, "Thank you Kassy...I can't tell you what this means to me..."

His cold fingers suddenly felt tingles and a burning sensation shot up his arms. He looked down at himself and then shot up out of his chair, "H what is happening to me!" The voice he heard in his head constantly, whispered through him and filled the air around him seeming to have been voiced by a ghost, "You figured it out my boy...The secret of my power is empathy..." Tyler's skin started to regain its color and Tyler doubled over as his heart started beating again, "All Hallows eve...a time when people gathered together in their homes to stave off the terror of the darkness together...this is my true power Tyler Wentz." Tyler gritted his teeth together as his body came back to life, but his only thought was to not cry out in pain to keep from scaring Kassy.

Kyle nodded. "Yea. I don't think that power development or the alter ego class are going to be difficult. I doubt I will have to but much effort into it. Im not going to complain about a couple of easy As. It will make my dad happy." He wanted his dad to be proud of him. His father was the only person who's opinion he cared about. He leaned against the wall looked around curious to watch the others interact.

Ryan smiled and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, in regards to powers I don't have too much so that's easy too. And assassins don't need alter egos, once they choose a name, that IS their real name from that point on. So that's easy for me too." His smile lessened slightly at the mention of fathers but it quickly picked back up. "I don't care about my dad. He can go to hell for all I care, I would send him there myself if I could actually." Ryan looked quite insane saying this in such a casual tone with such a wide grin on his face. He looked at others and giggled. "People are weird."

Kyle was more surprised by Flood's expression then by his words. He knew that a lot of people didn't get alone with their parents. He was lucky to have a decent relationship with his dad. He couldn't say that they were close but they got along alright. He wanted his dad to feel comfortable letting him take cover the family business when he chose to retire. "I like to watching them. You can learn a lot by watching people."

phoebe looked to harry again, who was pulling his hood down again, and seemed to be muttering to himself, before rising. Phoebe looked back to Nick and shrugged, "its been an okay day so far. I'm taking more classes in fighting, want to be able to defend myself if I cant use my powers"

"Yeah, well sometimes powers get thrown around. Generally not on purpose, but it happens" kalinda said, "my guess is you have some sort of sense, whether because of your own abilities, or just causs of the whole blind thing. No doubt you will be able to adjust, but I'm happy to stick with you for a few days until you do" she said, as she got their food, not even thinkkng about it. She went for vegetarisn pizza herself knowimg it to be decsnt at least.

"I see well i should also be taking that class i think that is in fact one of my classes" Nicholas said thinking of the fight he could have had with Harry,But of course he has his fear gas that was always a good back up in case he does get into a fight with someone."What other classes do you have today?" Nicholas then asked.

"I can feel the powers in the air. I can feel when someone gets close. That helps me avoid running into them but doesn't really help me figure out how to defend myself from them or how to defeat them. That's why my dad and I wanted me to go to school here. So I can learn to do those things." Roxy explained as she followed the other girl. It was hard navigating with so many powers around her. She could really tell where everyone was.

"Yes, yes you can. Nice change of topic by the way." Ryan looked over at Nicholas with an eerie grin. "Who's your parent?" He asked Kyle as he waved at Nicholas. "The super one, I don't care about the normal one, if there is one. I'm the son of Deadpool and Killer Frost. Awkward relationship with mother, its hard to get a kiss on the cheek when it causes frostbite." He giggled a little and looked back to Kyle.
