I'm trying out a kinda new style with this one and it seems too clunky and formal (I normally try to use the vernacular, see). Even though I really like the story and the lie it encapsulates, it just... UGH it doesn't read right! Damn, this is what I get for stepping outside my comfort zone.

But I suppose I'm here to improve, not to win (though winning would be nice!). So I think I'll keep it. Evem though it pains me to do so.

Well I was going to write, and then my motherboard broke. For the second time this year. My computer will act as if it lost post every 10 minutes now.

Given the quality of my laptop keyboard, as well as the writer's block I am making this post to cover up, I might not finish in time. Which is a real shame, because I had the tissues and sad music all ready for writing it.

I'll do my best, but no promises.

Because you have to admit from a meta standpoint that's a pretty excellent lie after the fact and after everyone got suckered into submitting entries.

I wish I thought of that. Actually this whole contest was put together pretty much entirely by @RoflsMazoy and the team, since I was on vacation when I should've been helping plan things.

Two of (us) are still in play, and our participation renders your conditionally perfect past tense grammatically incorrect. You were not referring to any of the other contestants either since we know that at least one of (them inclusive of us) will win. So you are wrong, and you cannot say you were referring to somebody other than myself, @mdk, and @Keyguyperson.

In other words: Keep that up and the only one sure to lose, is you.

Then again we've been told only to vote based solely on what we perceived was the best lie, so I suppose even the shittiest entry in terms of writing could win as long as the associated lie was especially arresting.
