Hank & Tony
Both Tony and Hank were out of bullets, Hank's blades were actually going dull from the over use they were being put through. Tony was fighting but he was only human, he was running on fumes and refused to give up. Hank was still going at it killing the dead anyway he could, this included blunt objects, the occasional dropped firearm, or even parked cars.
Hank flipped a parked car into a crowd of the dead and stood back just far enough to set the the fuel take ablaze, it was leaking so tossing his lighter was enough to get it going. BOOM! The car went up in smoke taking several of the dead with it. "Hank!" He turned over to see Tony holding closed a door that was trying to be forced open from the other side. Around Tony more dead came up, Hank ran over and started beating the dead into pieces with anything he could find. After he had taken out close to ten the brick in his hands was closer to a rock then anything.
Hank walked up to the door. "Move Tony." Tony jumped out of the way as Hank kicked in the door sending it back crushing several dead. More came out, Hank killed several before he had to stop and move on. Tony followed but he was low on breath.
Tony stopped Hank. "Hey! Look, we're in bad shape, any human forces that are left are in at least in as bad condition as me. We have no lines to hold and nothing to hold them with, we need a new strategy and fast Hank!" Hank nodded. Tony was right, their wasn't many people still fighting, and the ones that were able to still fight had either run out of things to fight the dead with or were hiding. "Take shelter Tony, You're no use to me dead." Tony was about to object when Hank cut him off. "Go inside, rest up, meet me out here in a few hours when your able to fight. In your condition you are more of a burden then a help."
Hank ran off to keep fighting. Tony worked his way inside an apartment building. Inside wasn't much though, it was empty in the lobby but dead bodies were still around, One was a police officer. Tony walked over, the side arm was still in the holster, with a spare mag. Tony started to reach down when he stopped, he had no idea if this body would stand or not. He decided a small kick was a decent way to check, after kicking the officer and waiting he grabbed the pistol and the spare magazine.
Hank kept on fighting, he felt sore. He wasn't sure if it was him getting tired or the amounts of hits he had taken trying to defend the city. More civilians were being attacked, Hank grabbed an Axe off a fire truck and jumped between the people and the dead. "Get in the ally way, I'll close it off once I take care of these guys." They ran in, it didn't take long to take out the dead.
Hank ran back over to the fire truck, he released the E-Brake and ran to the back of the truck. He took a deep breath and started to push the truck in front of the ally way. The truck stopped when the front hit the corner of the ally way. The dead were not that coordinated, no reason they would try to get under it. This would do for now.
BANG! A shot cut clean through his torso, Hank had been shot several times within the last few hours, But this was different. He looked at the wall where the bullet had landed after going through him. "Silver." Most the dead in the area were dead, Hank was able to find the shooter fast.
Hank started walking over to the shooter, He fired again, Hank dodged. The shooter fired again, Hank dodged again. By the time the shooter was able to fire again Hank had the gun and held it to the mas forehead. "Do it!" The man screamed. "Do it and show the world what you are!"
Hank looked around, their were people watching, Some even with cameras. Hank sighed and slung the rifle. "I'll be needing this to save your city now, Shoot at me again and I will return fire." Hank started to walk off when he heard the man shout. "You see that! He just threatened to kill me! He threatened to kill me and took the only gun I had to defend my family with!" Hank tried to keep calm, he had more impotent things to do, so he kept walking.
The man drew a knife and charged Hank. "Monster!" Hank turned around and swung the rifle around with speed that none of the humans could comprehend. The man flew back Twenty feet in a spiral. A woman ran up to him Crying. "He's dead... You Monster! Killer!" She was pointing at Hank. He didn't mean to kill the man, he reacted like he was trained to when attack. Only now everything was fragile around him.
Hank could hear the voices, the thoughts. "Killer" "Monster" "Vampire" "He killed him." "He's dead". He heard it quietly at first, the it got loader, and faster. Then he realized some people were yelling at him. He was frozen, he knew it was in self defense. But he knew he could have stopped him with out killing him. It was an accident, it's not like he tried to kill the man, he drew a weapon and attacked.
Hank ran off until he could no longer hear the crowd of people, or at least completely out of sight. He could still hear them, and their thoughts. But he still had trouble telling them apart. Though this time they were saying the same thing. Killer.
