While I have no doubt in Athinar's ability, or the timeliness of his posts, may I propose that we adopt a '3-day break' set-up for potential problems similar to this down the road?
If it's someone's turn, they will have three days to put up a post. If they miss it, the next person in the posting schedule will go, and the group will continue down the schedule until the missing poster returns. They'll be given posting rights, and then we continue our merry way with the list.
(Preface to the example: It's very late at night or very early in the morning, and at this time I have a bad sense of what is funny or not. I apologize in advance)
An example:
Let's say that the posting schedule is:
Ozy
Sypher
Athi
Cuddles
Phoenix
Ozy posts, and it's super swell, and everyone gives him a high-five for the swell job.
I'm absentee, so Cuddles Pms me, and I send a confusing reply about how I'm held hostage by the Triads for gambling debts, and he's the only one I trust to help me escape.
Cuddles shrugs, and waits for three days.
By the three days, I haven't returned, so Athi takes up the slack, and carries on the story with what Ozy had.
Athinar makes a super cliche and vapid swell post, and everyone gives him a public lynching high-fives for the swell job.
Before he can make a story-relevant post, Cuddles briefly mentions that he's gone in too deep with the Chinese black market, and is likely to die.
Everyone shrugs their shoulders, and wait for a day. On the second day, I return, and make a story post that is just a rant against the evils of organized crime.
Despite the dubious relevancy of the post, it's still legit, and therefore overtaking Cuddle's priority in the posting schedule.
The next day, Cuddles returns, and since he would be next in the posting order, makes a post in which Kal witnesses members of the Thieves Guild sic a panda on a gambler who can't pay off his debts.
Phoenix, disturbed by the direction of the plot has suddenly taken, makes a post which retcon the last two into a dream.
The posting schedule is re-rolled, and all is well again. (Other than Sypher's and Cuddlepot's irrational hatred of pandas and gambling.)
