For me it is since I am ranked unless I am just sparring all fights for me are considered ranked events. I understand IN likes to do seperate story events for his hundred thousand characters, which is fine. But in any ranked or a NoW event yeah, transformation is right out.

Yeah, in ranked unless you're both transforming characters of comparable ability, transformation is a no go.

Got to love misunderstandings and when caught in the act, how easily they can be worked out.

Which is why I'm likely going wit the Spider-Man way of it being a permenant transformation so that it still works with his backstory but doesn't stop him from being in ranked stuff.

As for the magical girl, life won't be complete until we see a 10 year old girl kick skallagrim right in the tailbone.

Aetherial entities with powers that could be called godlike can't be considered particularly newfangled, eh @Rilla?

@LeeRoy definitely newfangled, obvy. No, it's not that. It's simply that IN is the second person, I think, who has theorized something out of nowhere to match the power of the only person here, sans Melon, to be beaten straight up in the past few months.

If Spiderman is like most comics, then it could just depend entirely on the writer, similar to Wolverine where his healing power ranges greatly.

That's why you have canon and none-canon. Another fun fact, officially Wolverine is currently dead in marvel comics, replaced by a female wolverine named Laura Kinney. I think when the current actor for wolverine Hugh Jackman eventually retires from the character, it would be interesting to just kill him off and have a female wolverine replace him like in the current marvel comic timeline. Hugh will be a hellva act to follow, but I think a female lead would be interesting to see.

WAIT. This argument has been about transformations in a competitive sense? No, of course not. Transformations give you an unfair tier advantage over your opponent in a competitive scene. Story-telling-wise it's fine and dandy, entertaining and while not entirely fair, it's cool.

But having a powered up mode in a set level competition? That's just rude and unfair.

To be honest, wraiths have been allowed in both tournaments in the past and by far are much more broken than someone who can transform (in the traditional sense) because on top of being able to take ANY shape, they also come with a plethora of immunities and special abilities. Not to mention the high regeneration factor.

Part of the reason I have yet to resurrect Zubila, my sand wraith.

Of course, Skalla has a soft spot for the undead. :P

Thor is a female now, the Hulk is an Asian kid genius, there are going to be huge changes when marvel reboots its comic universe.

Would you be for a Female Thor and/or Wolverine change up in the marvel movies? :P

I imagine allot of the hardcore fans would be up in arms, but it would be nice to see more varied roles, instead of the one millionth white male main character protagonist.

Real hardcore fans, and not cinematic fans, don't actually care about the changes. Unfortunately, the only people who give their opinions vocally are the people who don't like the changes.

Sorry for double post, but I'm going to be drawing up and writing up Character Sheets for my Divines and Occults.

They're not Angelic or Demonic entities, they're somewhere in the middle and I'm hoping of using one for when this Multiverse gets started.

People are gonna flip, I think. Especially if they react like they did with Black Johnny. I've seen some flip over the female Thor, didn't know about Hulk though. I don't really read American comics, as I prefer mangas, thanks to my brother.

@Rilla To be fair about the Black Johnny.

1: They made the Susan's sibling black and no longer her sibling, kind of a huge change without removing the character entirely.

2: That movie was shit.

New name Black Johnny!

Never watched the movie, honestly. They probably could have explained it away by one of them being adopted. Happens all the time

The movie sucked. But no a black human torch is not a problem for me. I would have liked to see them stop firking up Dr. Doom though. God how hard is it to make him wear armor and be a freaking bad ass genius ruler of Latvia?

They nerds really flip their shit when they made Heimdall black. (BUT BUT! THIS IS WHITE DOMINATE NORSE MYTHOLOGY! YOU CAN'T HAVE ANY OF THE CHARACTERS BE BLACK! THAT MAKES NO SENSE*NERDY SQUEAL*)

Never mind as far as marvel verse is concerned, Thor and them are not even gods, just advanced other dimensional beings with their own rules and laws. :K
