[OOC] Chasers: Boundary of the Crimson Sky (Full for the time being)

- @Skyswimsky Reriri's powers rub @AgentFallenSoul the wrong way, and I'm sure she has a reason for that, so what about changing it to telekinesis with, perhaps, a few other sub powers?

Heh, I was just about to Mention AgentFallenSoul today since nothing came yesterday! But okay, time to rework stuff then, maybe make a new char altogether, might take a little bit of time because Sunday to Wednesday is where I raid from 19:00 to 23:00 depending on what random stuff pops up in my head. I have no problem working out something new altogether, so don't let the following rub you(?) in the wrong way! My goal was to get some power that allows for some utility/offensive stuff (I know the offensive department can get over the top ala Zane, but I kinda did mention she doesn't really care/3muchScience and seeing how you have no problem going for personality-nerfed powers for some reason!) while mainly being a huge defensive tool to laugh into people's face and force mooks to bow down to her.

I am not a fan of *insert power here*+*insert more powers here* because for me a power can, and should, also be a defining point about a character and should have a theme, a random clusterfucks of multiple lesser powers just rubs me wrong. And telekinesis is way too weak of a defensive mechanism considering the power-creep we have here (though main defense comes from density shenanigans regardless...)

Well, if you feel like doing a new character, I won't disallow you, but what I was saying was something on the lines of telekinesis, plus a couple related powers (meaning, things you could do with your telekinesis), like a psychic energy shield or using it to create shields with the present materials.

But in the end the choice is yours.

Hey im sorry for never speaking up and this is my fault, as for the power, your density power the fact that it can do so much is kinda...eh~, but regardless my focus was more on it's fighting ability, density powers as a whole are broken, no matter how you square it down to it, as such either two things, at least in my eyes, balance it, a bigger draw back other then, they need to focus and that it affects them isn't big enough for what you can do with the, or change it to something else (Though it seems to look like you want to change it, which i don't have a problem with) The reason I say bigger draw back and/or change it, is because, in terms of fighting, since I know you are making it more of a utility type thing, however there are a lot of others, say like ashfils char that you have focused on projectiles, if your two chars were to fight, you could just boom completely change their power and make their power more then useless, vice versa if you can change the density of a person, even with "Strain" which is kinda open and can be abused (Not saying you will, but still) you could simply just change the density of the person and fuck them up, ALOT. Aside from this, if you also keep the power you should add a size limit, I.E the biggest things she can use it on is a car, since you know a building is HUGE, that's all I felt on the chars power, everything else is solid however

Also I got a few questions in regards to a thing I think I am going for, which is kind of an innocent devil archetype I guess:
Is the Crimson Sky only in a specific region(Japan) or does it include the entire world? If later is the case, are those Chaser people and agencies and stuff in Japan or on a more global level? How does Japan compare to the rest of the world/Crimson Sky? Please don't decide for "only Japan" now just because of those (annoying?) questions though!

I understood right that the Crimson Sky is only enterable for humans at night but Youkai can go as there please? Or do Youkai have no "easy" access to the "real world"? Or I guess they can just change between those two places at night too @-@?

I am going to read the big text about Youkai in a minute that you wrote in the interest check, so if that question is answered there don't bother explaining, I just want to get this out quick because the sooner my questions are out of the way the sooner I can work on a new sheet! How are Youkai's born? Simple smex? Or myth stuff too (Like objects becoming alive and stuff)?

How prone are you for eldritch-kind of things? Like, a person who summons stuff from "another plane" that is not classified as a Youkai would mean that there is even more "unknown" even if it is just for the sake of fluff (I am not going for a summoner, well, at least not in a direct sense)?

I understand your point with Agent, so I'll let her explain it.

Now for your other questions.

Both the Crimson Sky and the Chasers are a global thing. The name Youkai is used mostly on Japan, though, on other places they would call the denizens of the red realm Monsters, Fairies or even Aliens.

The passages are available only during the night (or on very special other circumstances), for everyone, human and Youkai alike. So, if an Youkai comes to the human world and don't leave until the morning it's locked here until the next nightfall. To being like vampires this can be lethal.

This depends on the type of Youkai. There are all kinds of legends out there, and most of them are at least partially real. Some of them are ven created from humans who got corrupted by the essence of the Crimson Sky and turned into monsters.

Well, I really don't care much to your character's origins if you wanna know. As long as it makes sense. That said, eldritch/divine/interdimensional & stuff is mostly the prerogative of the GMs as NPCs, unless you give us a very well written character. Remember that the Youkai are broad enough that you probably don't need this to create whatever you may be thinking.

@AgentFallenSoul Ooohhhh, so you were more about the density thing rather than gravity. And yes, that is completely understandable, and basically a simple fix could have been a limit to the density compared to the original and the speed to reach that maximum for a easy start I guess! But the other thing I have going now is something I already like way more than my current char, not to mention I am literally giving the GMs a plot-device at least in terms of controlling my character. But thank you for explaining!

Don't mind, I like exposing my RP's lore.

Most of them don't speak at all, and some can understand any language because of either power or being alive for long enough to learn them all. There used to be a common language in the distant past, but it got lost because of the barbaric nature of their world. These days, Youkai that can speak, tend speak the languages of the humans from around the area they live, or any other based on personal experiences like travel or business.

EDIT: Yes, the yankees love their little green men, haha. Truth be told the US gov is waist deep in Crimson Sky related conspiracies.

Ain't that what they always do? Actually one of YTC's main source of income is Black Book contracts with the Govs around the world, specially the USA. Kinda like the Umbrella Corporation, which it's totally not a shameless rip-off.

We can work out on that Necromancer thing(I wouldn't call it seduced though!), but Ruu is Faust's host nonetheless, so while he isn't on her side, getting her killed ain't good either. And Faust can manipulate Ruu in a way that she could do dirty work for that Necromancer I guess.

And "The Rat"? Poor Rats, already misunderstood before the roleplay even started. But yeah, that makes more sense. I'll change it in a bit.

Oh, but Orihime wouldn't kill her. The undead she controls aren't so easily made, and she isn't like a plague doctor, but the other spirits abilities are very useful to her.

Also, once you see Orihime in person, you'll know that it's exactly seducing that she would do. Very seductive seducing, indeed.
