Everything had happened so quickly that John wasn't able to soften his landing at all. First to hit the floor was his butt and lower back, though his head came crashing down immediately there after. The metal floor didn't make for a soft landing and as his head made contact he felt nearly like blacking out. For a moment all the sound was drowned out by an echoing ring and his sight was unfocused. Despite the head injury he pulled himself up to continue fighting.
