[IC] Forgotten History

[Rose]

Rin sighed. "I guess I'm just paranoid." she admitted. Turning her head to look at him she smiled. "At least now we don't have to hide. That's one less thing to stress over." she concluded. It was a nice feeling. Not only were they finally together but they could be so openly.

Quickly Richard jerked back, her foot only barely missing his face. He scolded himself for having not stood back further. "Yeah I saw that..." he groaned and held out a hand to block her feet. "Well I am a pilot. I've got just as much ofa right to be down here as you!" he said proudly.

"Don't be paranoid. That's my job already". Sighed Marcus, before grinning and adding " yeah, as much as I like sneaking around I've always kinda wanted to do this." Without warning he wrapped both arms around her and swept her legs out from underneath her with one of his own. Catching her in a graceful dip he kissed her without a single thought towards the people awkwardly looking away from the scene.

Bumping her booted tie against his palm repeatedly Tess rolled her eyes at him. "Yeah a noob pilot. Youve been here for what, like three weeks? Yup. Still green in my book." Still grinning she shrugged before slipping off the wing and landing on her feet in front of him, rolling up her headphones to jam them haphazardly into a pocket. "Anyways, what's up catch?"

[Rose]

She might have been able to react had she been with anyone else, but with Marcus her guard was down. Only having a split second to register what was happening she took in a quick gasp before his lips locked with hers. Her body was tense, muscles locked, but as he kissed her she went limp. Something about him relaxed her all the way to her core. It was like the world around then faded away.

Richard took a small step back. "Hey, you gotta start somewhere!" he said defensively, but not to seriously. Her bouncy personality brought such a fun energy to their conversations, it was his theory that this is why he enjoyed her company. Stepping aside he leaned against her ship. "Honestly? I'm bored." he admitte.

After a lingering second, Marcus ended the kiss to grin down at her mischievously. "Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go beat up a bunch of robots with a toy gun. Love you." He kissed her once more before standing her upright and releasing her.

"Hey careful! Just cleaned her!" Tess scolded when he leaned up against the ship, making no move to swat him away though. "Bored huh? Yeah that's kinda an epidemic around here really. Specially with the ground troopers hogging all the free space and the ranges.". There were certainly a few things Tess could think off to kill time, things higher ups might not be pleased with and certainly not her better conscious, but hey if its fun right?

[Rose]

A soft smile rested on her face. "I love you too" she said and waved him off. For a moment she stood there, watching him walk away. She questioned how she had ever gotten to be so lucky. After awhile she went on to carry about her business.

"Huh, couldn't tell." he mumbled about her ship. "Yeah a flying metal brick doesn't seem like the most exciting place to live. Doesn't help that they don't give you anything to do. I guess they'remmore interested with functionality." he sighed. Looking over he could tell she was thinking something. "Yeah?" he asked curiously.

"Hey functionality is what its all about right. And don't think I didn't hear that " she added, jabbing him in the ribs with a finger before turning to snatch up her diagnostic report. "Yeah. But, if you're determined enough to go out and do something, there is always something out there to do. Just gotta look hard enough." She said with a sly smirk before turning to stash the report away in the cockpit. Still feeling this guy out, figuring his type. She couldn't just tell him about the extracurricular activities hidden in back rooms and ventilation till she got a read off of him. He was new!

[Rose]

As her finger jabbed into his side he tried not to react, though it was difficult. He crossed his arms and watched as she moved about. It felt like she was hiding something, or simply withholding some information. Either way he wasn't surewwhat it was but he felt it had to do with a good time. "Well I guess I'll have to look harder... Or maybe I can ask you to be my tour guild again." he said slyly.

Tess chuckled, retying her sleeves around her waist where they had come loose. "Ha, I cooould. Last time was just a free tour though. You know, like a sample.". She said, hands on her hips. " gotta be something in it for me this time Catch."

[Rose]

Taking a few steps closer he leaned an arm against the ship and rested the other along his hip, thumb hooked on his pocket. "I'm sure I could do something to make it worth your while." he said smoothly as he looked down at her. He tried to keep his exterior calm as his heart began to race.

"I don't doubt it" smirked Tess back at him, getting a bit carried away with the flirting but enjoying it thoroughly. It was just so fun and refreshing compared to the last couple of weeks. Taking a step forward she raised her chin challengingly before saying "just like I don't doubt you heard me when I said 'careful, I just cleaned her'". With a sweet smile she pushed his arm off the side of her ship and stepped back around him. " so Catch, way more fun to say then Richard by the way, Richard makes you sound all stuffy. Anyways! What would you like to see and do?" She prompted, adjusting her ponytail now as she waited for an answer.

[Rose]

Removing his arm he carefully inspected the area to be sure no mark was left. Once confident he hadn't left a mark he turned to face her, crossing his arms. "Well I wasn't exactly the one to pickit, tthat's a problem you'll have to take up with my parents." he remarked. While thinking of how to answer her question he absent mindedly scratch at his scruff. "I don't know, something fun. I guess whatever youddo to stay entertained and sane." he explained.

"Oh, I don't think you're ready for that yet" winked Tess. "Come on though, we'll find something to keep you occupied though. There are a few card games going on right now I think, we can get in one if you'd like."

[Rose]

His curiosity was definitely peaked. The more he talked to her the more he found her intriguing. "Booze, cigars, and cards sound fun. Throw in a beautiful woman and that's what I call a good time." he said with a wink.

[Thorned Hammer]

"I'll let you know if I see one who is into cigars." Tess said, patting Richard on the shoulder and grinning before turning to the door. "Let's go, before they get to into it and stop accepting new players."

[Rose]

Chuckling and shaking his head he followed after here, hanging back slightly to enjoy the view. "Now that would be a shame." he remarked. After walking for a moment he spoke up again. "I hope these aren't high stakes games. I don't have that kind of cash." he said with some obvious concern though trying to down play it.

Tess didn't fail to notice this attention and smiled to herself. What a nice confidence booster. "Oh don't worry, its not that kinda betting," she said, now leading him through the maze like halls. Despite how twisted, convoluted, packed, and crazy they were, she seemed to know exactly where to go without missing a beat. "It's more like, bet what you got. You know, food stamps, liquor, specialty ammo, clothes, anything. I won an engine stabilizer off a chief mech in one of these games, they get pretty intense when people start chucking hardware around like that."

Magical time skip


Some time had passed and the four [Marcus, Rin, Tess, and Richard.] had some free time and leave days to spend. So the four decided to use them all at once to go on a group vacation to a tropical island on [can't think of a name of a planet but it doesn't exactly matter]. Their plans were to take it easy and check out the local tourist scenery. They arrived yesterday afternoon and now it's morning of the next day.

Rin's eyes fluttered open as a warm breeze pushed in through the open window. The smell of salt and sand filled the room. She loved the scent, it reminded her of home. The soft morning sun lit the bedroom and the sound of waves on the nearby beach could be heard. Rolling over she stretched and decided it would be a good time to wake up.

Richard grunted and grumbled as the light forcefully woke him. "Damn it, this is a vacationn, I should get to sleep in!" he growled into his pillow. After a moment he huffed then pulled himself up out of bed and headed for the bathroom.

Marcus had ideas differing from Rin, groaning face first into his pillow when he felt her move next to him. "Don't leave, you'll let the cold air in". He whined, an arm snaking around her to keep her trapped under the blankets. This leave was well needed and well deserved in his opinion, and he intended to take full advantage of it all.

Tess was already up, having slept very little the night before, and was noisely blow drying her hair and singing to herself. She ws excited, more so then usual. They were at a beach! A freaking beach! Something she had only seen pictures off when she was a kid, this was an epic childhood dream come true with her sappy love sick friend, the counter part to that, then catch. Epic indeed!

[Rose]

Laughing softly she allowed herself to be pulled back. "Ya know it's warm out there right? If it were cold you couldn't pry me outta bed." she said and grinned. While she wanted to get up and enjoy the beautiful day she also wanted to stay in bed with him. "Come on, don't you wanna go swimming??" she asked with a devilish grin.

After splashing his face with cool water Richard felt awake enough to carry on. Slipping on his swim shorts and sunglasses he stepped out of his room. A shirt and shoesddidn't seem necessary. Walk down the hall to Tess's room he knocked on the door then popped an unlit cigar in his mouth. "Yo Tess!" he said louder than necessary.

Marcus raised his head a fraction of an inch, just enough so she could see the frowning eyebrows. "No. Swimming is cold and Sandy and wet. Bed is warm and dry and has you in it.". He huffed, dragging her up against his chest now to hide his face in her hair. " and not the other two." He added, referring to Tess and Richard.

"What!" Tess shouted back just as loudly, cursing as she yanked a brush through her hair and brushed her teeth at the same time. And hunting for sunscreen, using her foot to sift through the contents of her bag.
