The tall blonde looked confused. "Huh? Did I say that? How did you know I hadn't...oh! Did you read my mind somehow? You really are psychic! Tell me something else! O-or don't, it's fine either way. That was kind of presumptuous of me to just...demand that. Sorry."

As his mood shifted from surprised to excited, and eventually back down to awkward and embarrassed, his tail and ears clearly reflected each change. Ears perked with excitement while the tail rose slightly from beneath the white robes he wore and swished more energetically, while they each respectively lowered and slowed their movements with the deflation of his mood, almost as if making a clearly vain attempt to look smaller.

"I'm not even sure if you're actually here as a psychic or what this is all doing here, either." Lucifer mumbled a bit to nobody in particular. "He just told me to go welcome the new recruit and make sure that they were settling in well and all. Oh, and to extend the invitation. I shouldn't be forgetting that. "

Naureen was slightly confused but decided to accept the position of a gypsy. It would suit her just fine.

"I'll be the gypsy and tell fortunes. Don't worry, Lucifer. I promise to do my best to help people. I just love this tent and I am sure that there are many things that I can use in the trunks. It will be alright. I am sure of this.

Now tell me about the invitation." she spoke soothingly to the cat person.

She stares at the doll boy in fear. “W-w-w-Who are you?...Silent courtyards?... What training?... How can I trust you?!”

She collapses to her knees before the doll and covers her eyes as she begins to cry “What is even the point, I obliviously don’t belong here”

She gets back on her knees her hair covering her eyes as she slips her hand into the doll’s hand “Take me to training… If that is what you want with me. Not like I have anywhere else to go”

walking around with Sensei right in front of me, stopped for a moment to notice a girl crying and what looks like a doll.
"is it me, or does the doll look like it's bullying the girl?" asking a smirking Sensei. "So brother-some!" said Sensei, looking at the scene for a moment before walking off. "you cant leave, what if she needs our help?" getting angry at her cat. "then you deal with it" mumbled the cat, leaving Nova behind, following the sweet smell of wine. "Fine, be that way" she yelled angrily at the cat, heading towards the girl and asking what was wrong.

"A-are you okay? What's wrong?"

The boy quickly grew concerned at the show of tears and knelt down next to the girl, searching his person quickly for a handkerchief before attempting to dry her face. "Don't cry. W-we don't have to start training now if you really don't want to. We can...we can just tell him that you aren't feeling well or something. I'm sure he'll understand. It'll be okay."

Still seeming unsure of exactly what to do, the boy paused for a moment in his attempts to wipe at the tears and searched his pockets again. This time, he managed to bring out a wrapped caramel apple. "Here. You can have this if you want, so don't cry."

Lucifer relaxed a bit at the calming words, perking up a bit. "Oh, right. I was supposed to request that you come to the Midnight Performance to meet the master. He wants to welcome you and the rest personally. It should be a fun show, too, so I really recommend watching."

Adjusting his glasses, the catlike man smiled slightly. "Um...I think that was all I was told to do here. Is there anything else you need to know? Or should I leave to let you finish settling in?"

The smells of food were always oddly comforting. The brunette had just eaten, so he wasn't too worried about his little problem just yet, but it was always nice to know that there was something around to safely munch on just in case. He really didn't want to get into trouble for something as ridiculous as that again. He had been lucky to get off so easily the last time.

In any case, he had work to do. It probably didn't seem much like it with the way the cat-eared boy appeared to just be wandering around, but still...this was important.

Still, he could always stop by that food stall if he had time...they did have a new popcorn flavor that he really wanted to check out.

Unfortunately, that happy thought was interrupted as a faint scent reached his nostrils. Not quite a normal one...though perhaps not quite unfamiliar. As he stopped and turned his head in an attempt to get a better sense of the direction it came from, the twin tails behind him slowed down in their movements to little more than an occasional twitch. What was that smell?

The small boy looked up from the first girl in surprise as another girl approached, yet another redhead, it seemed. "W-we kind of match! Not quite, but a little." After a second of marveling at the odd similarity, he shook his own head of slightly pink auburn hair and tried to refocus. "No, wait. Never mind that. Why do people keep coming here? You really shouldn't be in the Silent Courtyards. We should really get out of here."

Jack decided to wander the carnival, he grabbed his scythe and began walking, still in horrible shape.

He eventually came across an empty place(silent courtyard) with no one there, he called out in case he was wrong"hello?!"

"I'd like to know how much I'll get, how often, do I pay for food or is there a discount..... medical expenses.... Any employee handbooks? That is about all that I can think of... no wait a moment! What do I charge for the different things here?" Naureen asked as she thought of the various things. Inside she was shouting
'YES! I got me a sweet job of being a fortune teller and I am going to be a good one too!"

Finding the man he was talking to wander off. Cretil too lost interest in the conversation. No this man wasn't interesting enough. The lights started to take his mind away from the man after all. Fallowing the lights and smells around he contiunes his wandering. A familiar call of one of his 'siblings' shook him from his daze.

It was a short, monkey like creature in appearance. A long, curly tail and two adorable black eyes its most noticeable features. This creature giving another hoot at Cretil was noted to be in a disposal bin. Cretil promtly took hold of the creature and put it on his shoulders. If one wasn't that perceptive, the creatures tail would probably look like it was his.

Walking down the paths towards a large tent, it drew him. Though everything here was appetizing to his senses.

She looked at the handkerchief as she wipes her own eyes and returns it to the doll "It's that I dont want to go to training rather I dont know what training you are speaking of"

When she noticed the girl approach her, she froze in fear and gulped taking the caramel apple and throwing it at the girl. Her fox ears and tail clearly visible. "HAVE YOU TOO COME TO MAKE FUN OF ME?!"

She was ready to leave when the doll spoke again "Might be best if you explained why we cant be in the Silent coutyard Since you seem so against anyone being here"

"Oh...that's a lot... Um..." The pale man took a deep breath and adjusted his glasses once more before attempting to speak again. "There is a discount for food. We do offer a certain number of free meals as well, but you have to be at the communal hall to get them. It's not likely enough for three times every day, either, but you only really have to be responsible for about half your meals and any extra food items while you're here. Again, there's a discount for that, so it's often pretty manageable..."

"Medical treatments are usually dealt with by anyone who happens to be capable of dealing with the issue at the time. Currently, we have three full-time healers and three emergency 'healers' as well, though they aren't specifically focused on the healing arts. I'm... actually one of the people who can be contacted for this."

"Ah...handbooks...? I don't think we have any specifically... we have do have something like a rulebook that comes with the contract, but not everything is in there. Most of our rules are kind of a general understanding... if that makes any sense. As for what you charge, he said that he'd leave that up to you. You probably know how much you need to cover your own expenses and whatnot, so as long as it's not outrageous, he said that he doesn't really mind."

A bit out of breath after the lengthy explanation, Lucifer stopped for a moment to try catching it once more. "Is...is there anything else you need?"

It was difficult to track down the direction of the scent... With so many others mingling here, it was hard to catch something so faint...

The lithe brunette's efforts were interrupted, unfortunately, as he caught a fresher scent in the area. Swiveling around to find its source, he soon noticed another male... seemingly with a tail of his own? As he approached, he eventually noticed that the tail didn't quite seem to come from the man himself, but rather the creature on his shoulder... whatever it was.

"Ah...ciao. You seem a little different from most of the regulars. Not that it's a bad thing of course, but I just wanted to know if maybe... maybe you're new here? Would you happen to be one of the guests we were expecting?"

Jack wandered through the abandoned courtyard with the blade of his scythe slung over his shoulder, he looked around and didn't see anyone anywhere, he wondered if he was still dreaming

"I think that I am ready to read the contract and to sign it. Are there any starting supplies given to newcomers or just what is here? I did see quite a bit of things in there so I suppose that is my sign on bonus.......WOW O WOW..... I just realized that I can use my own Taro Cards and my own imagination and actually have a job that I can really enjoy! No more office B.S. to contend with.

Looking at the crying girl next to the doll. "No, I'm not here to make fun of you, it's just your the first person that i have met in this weird place" saying, as i walked closer to the girl, trying not scare her away.

"A-ah! The apple...those aren't easy to get..." The small boy's eyes followed the arc of the tossed sweet a bit wistfully, even starting to his feet as if he had considered going after it. He was halted in his attempts by the question about the courtyard, however, and looked back to the fox-like girl. "Nobody's allowed here. I'm surprised that you even found this spot. Most people don't just show up here."

Turning back to the other girl who had approached, the one without the fox ears, he started to look more worried. "It's dangerous, anyway, so let's just go. I don't want anything to happen--.

The sound of another voice echoing through the courtyard caused the boy to look around for a moment in fear. "N-no! Get out! If this many people are here...you don't even have contracts--!" Cut off mid-warning, the boy stumbled as a large rumbling resonated through the ground. "Y-you need to go. All of you, now! Humans can't survive here!"

starting to get a little bit nervous from the way he was speaking. "out of all the times i need Sensei right now, and he isn't here when i need him" getting angry when i said that to myself.

" Hello. Im Cretil, What is your Name? I just arrived here yes. I wasn't told of being guest."
The money creature climbed to the top of his head. Its' tail swinging back and forth. The tail hung down to about Cretils mid back which stopped giving the allusion of him having a tail himself. The money utters a ow grumbling nose.
" I should have some fried in my back pocket. Eat that if your hungry little one." He said talking to the monkey creature who just ave a hoot and began searching his back pockets for this fried meat. Happily finding then devoring it while riding on his head.

She glares to the other human which just joined the party, she turns to face the doll "Well that doesn't explain why I need to leave?!"

She seemed different suddenly as she paced side to side "If I wasn't so... desperate to be accepted I would say that in this graveyard there is something worth hiding"

"I told you, it's dangerous here. Can't you feel it?" The small boy started looking around the group, the worry on his face increasing to near-panic as he attempted to stop the pacing girl and start pushing her toward the courtyard exit. "Please just go! At this rate, we might not have enough time to get out. Bad things happen here, especially to people without contracts; they've happened before!"

"Please? We've already drawn too much attention now! I don't want anyone else to disappear!"

"Ah..."

The brunette watched as the monkey-like creature took the meat and sat on the man's head, a little distracted by the whole scene. It reminded him of his previous thoughts of food...

Shaking his head, he tried his best to refocus. "Well...anyway, I'm sure it should be easy enough to find out. Do you have one of the tickets? The guests are supposed to have silver ones, you see. You certainly seem like one of the new guests to me, but that should confirm it."

Naureen was so delighted that she decided to set up shop right away. She looked about and found a portable sign in the study area as well as markers to make a sign. She made a list of a few things to begin with and as she got better, she would add to the sign or change it.
After that she looked through the clothes and found an outfit to wear. Now she felt more like the gypsy she was being paid for.
She placed the sign outside of the carnival and decided to take a walk......
