Mikoto

"No, Ekaterina! Why did you do that, Sir Knight?" Mikoto cried between sobs once Astrea decaptated her sneaky snake companion. Even on the small time that she had been with it, Mikoto had already developed a bond with the snake and have even chosen a name for it.

However, it looked like fate was on Mikoto's side again, since Ekaterina quickly came back to life, probably because of a spell put on her specifically to ensure that Mikoto would become snake food, according to Melissa. "Yeah, I wonder if I irritated another noble, or a trading company, again? It's not my fault that they don't know how to make a good deal, or... keep an eye on their things." Mikoto said, nonchalantly admitting that she walks around the land poking hornets' nests and committing petty thievery.

However, once Melissa all but accused Mikoto of being a sick person, the blond peddler covered her eyes with the brim of her hat and laughed nervously "Ha... hahaha... I don't know about what you're thinking, Melissa, but I can assure you that you're mistaken. I... would never do anything to you."

Once Mikoto was done with talking, she hopped on her, now flying, broom and said "Well, it's such a pity that Sir Knight lost his horse, if you wish to, I know a good horse breeder just a few days from here, I can get you nice discount. Anyway, I can let let you come with Melissa and Miranda, as long as you promise to not stir around too much."

Aria

Aria had already reached the tower when Sedril made his meek introduction and climbed atop of it, holding her sword parallel to the floor and setting her feet apart in a wide stance, as if she was preparing for a quick draw, even though she wields a straight sword.

Closing her eyes again, Aria the preparation to cast her mightiest spell:

"Wind blowing through the endless plains
Become the gale that will erase all that is evil
In the name of the Holy Dragon Goddess, I summon you
Laguna Blade!"

As Aria recite the words of the incantation, a mighty gust blew from her, scattering the church roof's tiles and causing the bell to toll. As she waited with the spell at ready, Aria noticed the Roc coming for what would be its last sweep as long as she and Sedril didn't failed, that is.

"I'm counting on you!" Aria yelled from high up, to encourage her not so very bold partner.

Kurenai & Momo

"Hey hey hey... stop, stop! Lets keep calm and let the ghost go." Momo said with a half-frantic, half-joking smile on her face. It seemed that even when her unlife was being threatened, the ghost girl couldn't get herself to be completely serious.

"Perhaps, a scare like that is good for Momo every once in a while." Kurenai thought as she gazed at her ethereal companion's struggle, at least it would be a payback for those chains.

"Come on, Kurenai, you can't seriously be thinking about letting her eat me, do you? I'm not ready to break the next wall of the metaphysical barrier yet." Momo said as she tried to wriggle herself free from Ruxen's grasp, noticing that her efforts were in vain.

"I'm considering if I should or not, after that thing with the chains." Kurenai said in a cold voice, though, obviously, she wouldn't let Momo die... again. And so, she addressed Ruxen while sheathing her swords "We can answer your questions. However, the least that you can do is show some gratitude and let Momo go. Actually, that's for your own good." The red haired swordswoman cast a knowing look towards Momo as she noticed what course of action the ghost girl had decided to follow.

After giving up on escaping, Momo tried to deftly slip her hands around Ruxen's arms and get a good feel of the beast girl's budding chest "If I'm going to die again, at least I'm going to do so while touching a furry loli's chest. I guess that there are worse ways to go..." The pink haired ghost said, already panting from anticipation at the idea of her 'last supper'.

Astraea stared at the peddler." Are you dense ? It tried to kill you, it seemed like the best option." Astraea dropped the snake head and and body then watched as he snake came from the dead without really much effort and then watched as the creature at it's own body really, Astraea shuttered after watching everything and made a disgusted noise almost as if he was about puke at what he saw.

After that he heard Melissa speak about spreading the word of her religion around and said that she would have her small toy rabbit feed Mikoto to her own snake, and the feminine knight almost asked her why doesn't she just do it right now and get rid of a possible future problem.

" If your being hunted by others then your endangering us, we could be targeted like your being targeted and probably get killed, your putting us in danger." He looked to Melissa and her rabbit, then looked to Mikoto and crossed his arms.

" If you don't mind me asking what are your true intentions on traveling with me besides trying to sell things to me and other people, you have to have some kind of motive behind it besides just getting a pocket filled with coins or a pack filled with items, if you don't tell me now I'll cut you down where you stand." Astraea told Mikoto to add to the intimidation he took his halberd off his back and held it in his right hand.

The knight didn't like having his life being threatened, and didn't want to get caught up in whatever trouble this peddler was in, he had a his own quest to attend to he didn't want to have some people chasing him since he had some companion that was in trouble, when her broom levitated off the ground, Astraea held the broom at the tip and stood in front of the broom." What you expect us all to just jump onto your broom and fly there ?" Astraea asked the blonde haired girl.

Unfortunately for Astraea, it seemed that was exactly what Mikoto was expecting them to do as Melissa crawled onto the flying, wooden, and enchanted object with her stuffed bunny in two. The white snake, now christened as Ekaterina flicked its forked tongue before slipping upwards and onto the end of the broom, coiling around the bristles.

Melissa watched the feminine knight and the peddler go at it, keeping a sigh to herself. They were really going nowhere if they kept standing around like this and the chances of more assassination attempts grew higher and higher with each passing second. Still, this was the most entertainment Melissa had gotten in a long while so she sat back to enjoy it.

Though there were some people in the world who were very, very unamused. One of those people were Sedril, who hung on for dear life as he saw the gusts of wind gather at a single focal point. Noticing that it was Aria who was causing the strange phenomenon, he gulped before forcibly directing the bird towards her. At the last moment, he let go, speeding towards the ground.

Gritting his teeth, he raised his arms for impact and hoped that whatever Aria was planning, she do it soon. The bird could only be barreled for so long. It screeched as its feral eyes saw Aria’s form. With a flap of its wings, it headed forward with elongated claws outstretched for the death blow.

Back in the ruins of Rexicorg, an animal-like howl was heard though this was much more ferocious than the massive bird plaguing the villages further away. With a snarl, Ruxen shoved Momo away, not really caring if the ghost could feel pain or not. Crouched down on all fours, she growled at the spirit, a dark blush tinting her cheeks.

“Do that again and I swear I’ll bite your throat out,” she promised darkly before standing up with crossed arms. “We’re in Rexicorg dumbass. You should already know this if you came all this way. As for me, this is my cage. But now I’m free, no thanks to you.”
