Screen Name: Mattmanganon
Character you wish to play: Darth Orias
Race: Human
Faction: Acolytes of The Chosen
Background: At the end of the Empire, the Emperor had many acolytes that did his bidding. One such acolyte had witnessed the final battle through the force, watching Luke defeat Vader and subsequently turning him from the dark, back to the light. It was at this point that he understood. The old teachings of the Chosen that would bring balance to the force and destroy the Sith. It was Vader, it had always been Vader, he had brought balance to the force, he had slayed all of those that cloaked themselves in shades of the force. As a direct result of his actions, only 2 Jedi and 2 Sith remained... Balance... Then, he had fulfilled the prophecy once and for all by destroying his master. The prophecy had been misread, the Jedi had been foolish enough to assume that the Chosen would do both at the same time.
That day, the acolyte abandoned his name, his allegiances to Palpatine and began his work to create a new sect of force users that would continue Lord Vader's work. Utilizing stormtroopers that were loyal to him at the time, he managed to kidnap several force-sensitive children from across the galaxy and brought them to their lords final resting place on Endor.
Over the next century, they lived in hiding, only venturing out to gather new recruits. Every so often, they would clash with the Jedi Order, but would be written off as lone Sith. They would search for evidence, but would rarely find any. Orias was one of these children. He was found in a crashed shuttle on Nelvaan, by his adoptive father, and was taken in by the tribal Nelvaanans. His adoptive mother had lost her baby the previous week to disease and so immediately grew inseparably attached to him. The Nelvaanan world was often visited by Acolytes of the Chosen, as the natives worshiped Vader as a great hero that had saved them in their darkest hour, calling him Ghost Hand. Orias was found during one such pilgrimage to the planet and was tested, after a lot of bartering with his adoptive mother, he was brought to Endor and trained as an Acolyte from the age of 4. The understanding was that, he would be trained by the Acolytes, but would still have to return to Nelvaan to perform the rituals that all young Nelvaanans would. This arrangement annoyed Lord Traal to no end, as he wanted to both have the boy seperated from distractions, but also needed to keep in good relations with the Nelvaanans, in order to allow safe pilgrimage to a sacred site that their lord had performed great deeds at.
His training progressed at a phenomenal rate, even with the distraction of his adoptive parents being in his life. Eventually, he performed the final test. Dropped on the opposite side of Endor with only the Force to help him, he was forced to make his way, first, to the burning site of Darth Vader's mortal remains, then back to the Acolytes temple, made in the wreckage of the old Endor Shield Bunker. It took a standard year to complete the journey, never stopping to rest as he had become quite adept in the art of Force Sustainance (The ability to use the force to provide his body with the necessary nutrients/oxygen/energy to survive)
When he had finished, he performed the ceremony, having his right hand removed by Lord Traal and having the skeletal, cybernetic hand grafted on in its place. Immediately afterwards, he had to return home to Nelvaan to undertake his ritual hunt. His body hardened and scars from the plentiful predators of Endor already adorning his skin, he was easily able to travel to the Khazed Mal (Or Cave of Ghosts) to undergo a vision quest. He never revealed what he saw in that cave.
He was now a full Acolyte (An equivalent rank of Knight) and was set with his task to bring balance, spread order among chaos and chaos among order until all was balanced. However, in a chaotic galaxy such as this one, he spread far more order than he did chaos. However, he was also tasked with seeking out new Acolytes. One of his more notorious missions was to the planet of Nar-Shaddaa. There, he managed to almost single handedly take down one of the Hutt Sentient Trafficking Cartel's. However, this was in return for a substantial payday from one of their competitors. The deal gave him enough for an Astromech droid to help him in his next en-devour. With the help of 2 other acolytes, he managed to board and capture an Interceptor frigate from the Black Sun. This was to make travel easier, as his shuttle's hyperdrive needed multiple jumps to get almost anywhere.
After several years, their order got into it's first major conflict. Traal had deemed Mygeeto too orderly, as such, several of them performed an assassination of one of the Senators of the planet. Unfortunately, the assassination went a little awry, when it turned out that the senator was being guarded by a Jedi. A powerful one, at that. When he struck, he forced them to get bogged down in a fight, when they had hoped to quickly strike and leave. Although most of them managed to retreat and escape before fighters could be scrambled to pursue, they did lose Darth Malrow, Traal's second-in-command. He sacrificed himself to allow their escape, distracting the forces, before throwing himself on his lightsaber when he was about to be captured. He disappeared into nothingness. The loss of Malrow was the most devastating loss that they had suffered. They had lost others, but never a Darth. Traal needed to choose a new apprentice to pass on all of his knowledge to.
In a ceremony, the force pointed Traal towards Orias.
Character Class (choose one): Force Sensitive
Items:
H.E.A.V. armour: (Harsh Environment and Anti Vacuum armour) A suit of armour that was heavily inspired by that of Darth Vader, his suit carries a life-support system, allowing him to survive even within in the vacuum of space, as well as temporature control, allowing his body to remain at an optimal temporature in both extreme heat and extreme cold situations. However, unlike Lord Vader's armour, it is mainly made of cloth covering Dura-plast. The chest piece is re-inforced plasteel, meaning that it will deflect glancing hits from a lightsaber, but it will not stand up to a heavy chop or precision stab. This means that it is substantially less effective at blocking enemy attacks than his predecessor, however, means that the armour is substantially lighter than Lord Vader's, meaning that the wearer is more mobile than Lord Vader was.
Lightsaber: Modeled after Darth Vader's, it has a thick, ridged handgrip, a high-output diatium power cell, a dual-phase focusing crystal, forward mounted adjustment knobs, and a beveled emitter shroud. The focusing crystal is a red synthetic one.
Vibro-Shield: He has been trained to utilize a Vibro-shield in combat, however, he prefers to Lord Vader and merely fight with just his lightsaber. As such, he usually leaves his shield aboard his ship.
Ghost Hand: Like all members of the cult, he had to sacrifice his right hand when he came of age. Cut off by then leader, "Lord Vader" Darth Traal. This is replaced with a synthetic hand that they refer to as a "Ghost Hand" It is identical to any other cybornetic hand and has no unique features beyond it's skeletal design It is always covered by a leather glove
Character Personality: When in battle, he is cold. Rarely speaking, usually simply staring at anyone around him with a stare that could turn a raging inferno to ice. He is a believer in balance, Good and Evil is not truly a concept to him. He see's Good as those that would preserve balance, whereas Evil are those that wish to eliminate all other ends of their spectrum, Order beings attempting to eliminate Chaos and Chaos beings attempting to eliminate Order.
When out of battle, he tends to be more open. Will easily be engaged in conversation and will even enjoy the odd game of Dejarik.

"HOLD THE LINE!" A voice managed to cut through the blaster bolts that also filled the streets. Stormtroopers were advancing through the street, backed up by an AT-ST. The Street was one of the elevated streets of Malastare, if one peered over the side of the bridge-like street, they would barely be able to see the ground, hundreds of feet bellow. The commander, a Mon-Calamari, had just finished his shout, when one of the defense guns on an elevated part of the street was hit by a TIE Fighters straifing run and was torn to pieces. "Where's our fire support?" he yelled, grabbing the comm-officer that was desperately trying to cut through the Imperial comm-jammers.
"Imperial scrambler code is self modulating, trying to get through is like trying to bullseye a termite with a needle." he grunted.
"Can the metaphores and keep trying." replied one of the soldiers, before standing up to fire 3 shots, but was quickly knocked off the barricade as a blaster bolt hit his shoulder.
"MEDIC!!!" The commander roared. A Bothan charged over with a med-kit.
"Yeah, i've got him." he pried the armour off to get to the wound "Didn't penetrate deep." he mumbled, before opening a pot of Bacta and stuffing it in the wound.
"AAAAAH!!! COULDA FOOLED ME!!!" replied the wounded soldier.
"-*kRRtSH*ogie comi-*k*-in-*sshshhhhhhsi*ck high" the comm crackled. "Repeat, command, do not copy, repeat, do not copy, please repeat." replied the comm officer. At that point, the AT-ST was knocked off the walkway, as the burning hulk of a TIE Fighter cockpit smashed through it. It was then, that a shadow loomed over the street. They then saw an older shuttle landing next to the street, the Stormtroopers scampered for cover, but, one of them approached the descending ramp of the shuttle.
"Fire support." the Commander said to the Comm officer. "We're gonna need it right now... NOW DAMMIT, NOW!!!" he yelled, the comm officer scrambled for the comm-link again, desperate to get some bombers down on their position. He had heard of this, Sith could easily have cut through their Air-support and got down here. A cold air seemed to blow as, advancing down from the shuttle was 3 beings, all clad in black armour. The Stormtroopers saluted him, but, he was picked up off the ground and thrown into several of the advancing Stormtroopers. "OPEN FIRE! OPEN FIRE!!!" He yelled. Every blaster that could be pointed at them was pointed at them. One of the black clad beings, clearly a female, stepped forwards and held out her hand, almost all of the blasters energy-clips fell out, before she turned towards the Stormtroopers. The Commander was confused. That wasn't Sith tactics. "RELOAD!" He yelled, although the order was not necessary. Another of the black clad beings quickly advanced towards them, as the other two's red lightsabers ignited and they began to hack at the Imperial troopers. As the being floated up and over the barricade, he stared at the commander, a look that could freeze the soul. One of the men drew their pistol and shot him, but his hand extended to catch the bolt, with no visible damage.
"Do not attempt to interfere with us..." He said. "We will deal with these imperials. There is already too much chaos on this planet." he said. He then looked down at the injured man "Take your wounded and fall back." he ordered. The shuttle behind him took off and shot skyward. He then turned around and ignited his lightsaber as he moved to join his allies. The Commander gulped.
"F..." he gulped again. "Fall back to the next defense line... Command is going to want to hear about this... It... It looks like the sith have switched sides..." he said.
"What if it's a trick?" asked the medic.
"If they wanted this defense point... They'd have it and our corpses to decorate it." the Commander said. They began to move back, further into the city.
