And now Ruiko is in a conundrum, isn't she? Side with Nova and potentially get natural Esper powers without the Level Upper (And without the mental side effects that come from being a psyker in WH40K, presumably), or side with the Ethereal because he has Mikoto with him. Decisions, decisions....

Depending on the outcome, the Ethereal might remind how much the righteous 'good side' has been beneficial to her. Also that Nova has already failed in his previous endeavor.

But the Dark Outliners have been using them to get into 'dead' universes with no signs of intelligent life.

I believe only the heroes and Cano and the ethereal have used a terminal so far. The heroes used a train, while Cyano and the ethereal both made theirs
