All you'd have to do? Make creativity mandatory for a new game. Eventually people would get sick of waiting for Nintendo to make games again, and the company would stagnate itself to death.

Nintendo can be creative. Look at splatoon. Though even if they did make creativity mandatory, and we're able to release games at the same pace they would lose money. Creativity doesn't sell.
