Henry looked at the child for a bit with great confusion. He had no idea what was going on. "They beat you up pretty bad huh?" Henry said looking at the kid even though he had just threatened to kill him. Henry was in human form, and while it would be easier to be in bear form, he rarely ever got a chance to use this form. "KAATHE!" Henry yelled out hoping the adult Kaathe would hear him. "It's Henry! Get out here you stubborn piece of crud!" Henry yelled.
The dark elf child was beginning to get pissed. Not only had this outsider showed up in a town that no one but dark elves had any business showing up in, but now he was simultaneously ignoring and insulting him!? The kid grit his teeth and clutched his fist. Though blood was seeping out of his wounds from theearlier fight, Kaathe mustered up some strength to stand, albeit weakly.
"What did you call me, outsider? Are you trying to piss me off!?"
Henry looked over at the kid a bit confused. "Oh I see." Henry said looking down at the kid. "So your the younger version of Kaathe huh?" Henry said looking down a the kid. He had no problem with messing up events. Though insulting people was not his fortei as seen earlier. Henry turned away from the kid looking around the area, he had no intention of messing with him truth be told.
"Where am I gonna find the older Kaathe?" Henry said looking around the area. He started to walk off to start searching for him. "I need to get to Cythlla, who knows what hell that poor girl is going through." Henry said scratching the back of his head.
This person...This guy was just ignoring him! Kaathe was speechless. His anger was rising, and whatever pride he had left after that last fight was beginning to call out for this person's blood. He had completely ignored the guy's earlier comments about his older self, dismissing those comments as just another way to confuse and anger the dark elf child. This person had just showed up out of nowhere, insulted him, and proceeded to ignore the child almost completely...
"Don't you dare ignore me, outsider..."
Kaathe waited a moment, and looked up, only to find the outsider scratching his head and muttering about someone else. Now fully angered, he bared his teeth, and pulled out a dagger as long of his arm from its sheath at his side. Using a lot of strength to force his damaged body to move, Kaathe charged at the outsider, yelling,
"STOP IGNORING ME, OUTSIDER!"
Henry didn't even see the dagger coming at him. He was stabbed in the leg before he even knew it. "Really?!?!" Henry asked frustrated at the child Kaathe. "Common don't make this harder than it already is kid." Henry said. At this point a light started to emit from his chest. Soon enough though Henries human body disappeared. Then reappearing was that of his bear form. He roared at the child with all his might.
Henry was not pleased with being stabbed, and at this point the bear attatched to his spirit was starting to surface. Henry was angry and had lost a bit of control. He ran at the child trying to maul the kid in the chest. Henry was out for blood now.
Kaathe was momentarily stunned with surprise. It wasn't the strangest thing he had seen, but it was a first, nonetheless. The outsider, that had looked human, had just transformed into a bear. Some questions were hastily rishing through his mind as the bear closed the distance between them. Did one of those others summon a demon to finish him off? Did Kaathe himself summon it and is now facing the repercussion? Was this another test of survival, set up because he kept losing in every fight he's been in since his return from the hellish islands?
Kaathe shook his head. He had a beast to fight, and questions were just getting in the way. The Templar Knight Kaathe would have faced someone like henry in a defensive way, waiting for his opponent to attack, and countering when he found an opening. Kid Kaathe, on the other hand was brash and foolish. Instead of doing something sensible, he charged right toward the bear, dagger positioned in front of his chest. The kid was trying to use his own agility to cut up the bear.
His effort was rewarded by a slip-up that ended with the dark elf child being bashed onto the ground by the greater force that Henry's size, strength, and momentum provided.
Henry roared at the kid. He was still in a rage and was willing to kill kid Kaathe. He aimed a claw strike at Kaathes chest he no longer cared who his oppent was, it was kill or be killed to him. Unless something was done to stop him Kid Kaathe would die at the paws of Henry.
"That's enough, Henry." said Kaathe the Templar Knight.
The dark elf's voice was a bit more stern than one would expect from him. Kaathe reappeared, spear in hand. He was annoyed. The illusion of his fellow knight was causing a lot of ruckus that even got on Kaathe's nerves. Then again, he may have to blame himself for that...or rather, his younger self. He remembered being a headstrong fool, always getting into fights without thinking. Training so much, just to get his place in dark elf society. There was little doubt that this memory of his set the bear off.
"Who are-!" began the child.
"Quiet. Sleep."
The child instantly collapsed into unconsciousness.
"Seems that I actuallly do have some power in this afterlife..." Kaathe looked back to Henry. "Will you calm down, Henry? Or will I have to give Cythlla a Stuffed Teddy Bear to replace you?"
Henry calmed down when he heard his name. His body disappeared again and he reappeared as his human form again. "Sorry about that. The bear takes over when I get hurt like that unexpectadly." Henry answered back and looked back at Kaathe. "I should have showed up in my bear form I guess, but the option of being a human again is too good to pass up." Henry explained without even being asked.
"So you think this is the afterlife huh? Seems pretty boring." Henry added looking around at the area they were in again. "Anyways, this isn't, we all got stuck in dreams. I'm just here to get you out. Hoping you could help with Cythlla, Kinda worried she may end up in some horrid nightmare." Henry added looking at the adult Kaathe. "So tell me, do you think this is the afterlife still?" Henry asked finally.
Kaathe closed his eyes, and thought for a moment.
"If it is the afterlife, then it must be a hell for me...or maybe a heaven in some perspective i could care less about. If this is a dream, then I could care less about what I do here."
Kaathe opens his eyes again.
"Honestly, I don't care. Whatever happens, will happen. So...fine. I'll help you."
Henry smiled at Kaathe. "Good then! We should get going to the next one." Henry said with a smile. He turned making a door appear again by slashing the air. He then entered the door.
