@Jangel13 Basically, yes. If the monster which Aklys is equipped to leaves the field in any way, shape or form the effect does not trigger. If you decide to shoot for Aklys instead, the effect DOES trigger.

Cassie flared her nostrils a bit at the duel she just saw.

While it was way better than the duel prior it still didn't quite scratch that desire to see a true battle unfold before her. To her the duel between the two girls was kinda like watching a fight in a Rocky movie. Apollo would wail on Rocky for a bit, Rocky no even bothering to put up a guard, then they would switch and it would be Rocky's turn to punch some face.

Such a lack of technique...

Truly nothing could satisfy her. She noticed the weird ninja dude turn and walk off somewhere but she paid him no mind. She noticed Ignia checking her deck and a smile spread across her face.

She practically leapt over to the assumed perverted girl.

"You. Me. Let's go."

Did your character just teleport? they was watching the duel, Venwyn left the arena and then Cassie was suddenly at the entrance hall? (although ignoring haas wasn't nice either because he was actually there) and then you Know someone was a pervert at a glance even though that is basically impossible as she hasn't done anything like that yet at the school. I mean Vincent has a rumour but currently Ignia hasn't done anything on the 2nd and 1st days that could brand her as a assumed pervert.

Just my two pence on that

Didn't notice myself first time around I read it, but now that Charak mentioned it you did indeed put your character in a place they weren't at before. Das not good. Rule number 1 prevents bunnyhopping, so pls dun do it.

NOTHING in your post suggests she ran over to the entrance. And there was no way Cassie saw Ignia looking at her deck from the action duel stands. This, by all means, was teleporting.

As for why I didn't direct my post at you, I only have two things to say to that.

1: I don't do mentions in IC posts. Others can do it, but to me, they look extremely out of place.

2: I had mentioned in a previous post when you were complaining about having nobody to duel that I would send Haas over as soon as Tojin and Eklispe's duel ended, and I also assume that people actually read what others have said. If you notice in Venwyn's post, they specify someone walking over to Cassie. If you had dug a bit, you would've found Haas was that person.

What, does the placement duel not count if it's not between two actual players?

@Scarifar Yeah, it doesn't. Otherwise it'd be unfair you can give yourself a guaranteed victory while others had to lose.

Don't worry, when players join in later when we all have a lot of cards already they get a compensated amount of points so they don't get left in the dust. Right now that isn't an issue, though.

EDIT: wait, considering this is still a Duel, how about just 15 points whether or not the placement duel was won or lost? If nothing was gained from it, it doesn't really make much sense in the story. At least with 15 points there's some compensation for it.

To be fair, I never did justify in-universe how the card shop worked. So it's really not affecting the story in any way.

@Ammokkx while that is sorta true, isn't it mentioned in the first post that the card shop deals in points, which you each by Dueling? Not much to really explain there. Just have the D-ceiver ready, which I assume stores points, and have the cashier or whatever do the job, and bam, purchase made.

Because Vincent doesn't need that lightsworn but he does need another chaos caller to be a baller.
