I think it's a little different in the confines of an RPG rather than a larger than life universe that spans dozens of different books n' such. Diversification is one of the vital parts of roleplaying in my experience. I mean, can you expect to storm the level 20 dungeon without a thief for critical backstabbing damage and a healer to make sure your tank doesn't go down after a dragon claw to the face?

Granted I don't know how many times people will gather up in this, so maybe I'm just thinking too much like a tabletop-er.

Personally I have no problem with 3 speedsters, but if they all think there should only be two, I don't have a problem being forced to pick between two. It's up to them.
