"It was my pleasure to meet you sir." she responded then turned to Toma.
"It is Toma? I should go there and see if there are any good books, now shouldn't I?" Mystique smiled at the young boy.
"Do you mind if I take a look at the library, Count Dracula? I am your student after all." she asked.

@Aisling "Oh, yes, it is!" Toma answered. "I wouldn't mind it," Dracula said, and Toma offered her to show her where it was. "It's amazing, you'll see."

[Aisling]

"Then let's go see that wonderful library of yours." Mystique smiled happily.
"I wonder if there are any books that are fantasy or about mythical beasts."

@Aisling Toma showed Mystique the library...

Mystique walked into the library and stopped in astonishment at the enormous amount of books. The library even smelled like books. And of ancient history.... of science....literature.... and so much more.

"Toma.....I can't even dare to guess how many books are here in this one library. There must be at least one book of all the books ever written in the history of mankind's past."

@Aisling "These are a hundred thousand maybe," Dracula, who had followed them said. "I don't know the exact number... I've stopped counting them long ago." He pulled one of them out. "This one, for example, is a book on laws from 1456." He opened it, but soon, pages began to fall out. "Oh. Looks like I need to give it a new cover."

[Aisling]

"Are the books really fragile? I'd hate to hurt any of them or ruin some. Are there any online? Or on USB or something?"

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "They aren't," Dracula answered. "And most of them aren't fragile. Just sometimes, their bindings loosen, and then, pages fall out. But that has got nothing to do with who reads them. It's a normal process that books often undergo when they age, but it isn't a problem. I can just rebind them."

"Oh.. that is a relief. How do I find a specific type of a book? Is there a card index of some kind and where is it?" Mystique gently pulled out a book on Constellations. She did not know much about stars except that they were in the sky.

@Aisling "I've got a catalogue of them on that PC that is standing right over there," Dracula answered. "Those stickers on the books are the code where they stand. They all start with two to three letters, followed by a bunch of numbers. If, for example, the code says, 'Ecl 250', I go to section E and search it until I get to 'Ecl'. It's the 250th book in that part of section E."

"That is easy. Are there any romance, fantasy or mythical books? And may I take a book or two out to study it?"
She started to think that she had too much to learn. She wanted to learn about constellations and stars so she could talk with Toma and loan, and she needed to understand vampirism as well.

@Aisling "You may," Dracula answered. "Books aren't there to stand around. They want to be taken out and read. - And yes, there should be mythology books. Especially collections of Romanian myths, but not only."

[Aisling]

"Thank you, Count Dracula. Perhaps you could help me choose a book on understanding Vampirism.Preferably a beginner book. Then I'll look at some mythology and take this one on constellations. I think that will be enough for the time being. What do you think, Toma?" Mystique spoke to Toma so that he would be included in the conversation.

@Aisling "We've got some books on that, but vampirism itself isn't fully understood yet," Dracula said. "Those books mostly are about how to treat wounded vampires... but nobody knows, for example, why our wounds heal so fast or why we don't age. How our brains work without oxygen is still to be understood as well."

"That should be enough," Toma said. "Although I'd recommend this one as a book for beginners." He pointed at a thick book on astronomy. "It explains everything, from how to navigate on the night sky over stars and planets to the Theory of Relativity."

"Maybe one day there will be someone who will study vampirism and can understand more about them. Or I hope so. I hate not understanding something but I am not that good of a scholar." she spoke thoughtfully as she carefully placed the book she had back on the shelf.
"Thanks, Toma. Perhaps you can pick a beginning book on Mythology and perhaps one on mythical animals."

@Aisling "There are plenty of people who study vampires," Dracula said. "But still, we don't understand it yet."

"Why don't you try to find out the answers yourself, like Ioan does?" Toma asked. "He's trying to find out about the many unanswered questions about the universe. - Nobody's a good scholar at the beginning. You'll get a good scholar by learning."

[Aisling]

"Ok. I'll start by keeping a journal. Then I can record the changes and and what I have learned. I think that personal observation may be one of the best ways of learning. Perhaps Toma could help me with the my astronomy. Would you be willing to help me, Toma?"

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "Personal observation is a good start, but we're at a point where it's not enough any more," Dracula's father, who had heard the conversation by chance, explained via telepathy. "We need DNA analysis and such things."

Toma smiled. "I'd love to help you with that!"

[Aisling]

@CountDracula
"I could give a sample of my own blood and they can see the changes as they occur in me. Would that help?"

[CountDracula]

@Aisling "That should work," the father answered. "You just need to replace 'my own blood' by 'my own cells from my mouth'... within two to three days, you won't have any of your own blood any more. A vampire's body uses up blood, so to say, and that blood is replaced by the blood he drinks."
