Thanks to his time in the ruins Jim is normally calm and laid back. It takes a lot to rile him up and even when he's angered, there's always a part of him that whispers about how damage wouldn't make anything better. He's very deliberate in his actions and doesn't like rushing into things unless he has absolutely no choice.

Bio:

Jim's parents were adventurers who traveled the globe looking for anything they could be the first at doing, and they loved bringing Jim along on these trips, even when most watch groups would consider his inclusion as child endangerment. On one such occasion the young couple had gotten word that some ancient ruins could be hiding near the top of an unexplored mountain range. So they grabbed Jim and headed straight up into the mountains. It was a long, dangerous trip, and Jim almost died three times on the way up alone, but they found the ancient temple. They set up a camp and went to explore leaving Jim on his own. He managed to listen to them for an hour before the boredom got to him and he set off to wonder around. Turns out the ruins was a place of worship for an ancient god that went by the name of Oog Emlis. Jim never learned anything more about the god besides for the name and the curse, or blessing it put on him when he found its ancient alter and was transformed into a big pile of green glop that went all over the room.

For the first part of Jame's life was happy. He spent his days with wealthy parents who traveled around the world, looking at new things, and generally taking in the wonders of the world. The second part, after he was blown up by the God Oog Emlis wasn't as great. His parents couldn't him when they came back from their wondering and assumed he fell off a nearby cliff. That wasn't too bad but the fact that they only looked for twenty minutes before deciding to call it quits was like a kick in the nuts.

The next couple of months were spent wondering around the old ruins, trying to figure what was going on and how to undo it. Now, that might seem to indicate that the ruins were massive but really he couldn't move very fast at first. One day he got the hang of making something resembling a vocal cord and screamed. This wasn't a great idea since it caused a rock slide that destroyed the ruins and sent him plummeting to the frozen river underneath. He wasn't able to fight against the tide and ended up swept away into the ocean. It was all a blur until at one point he found himself being pulled into a strange light that sucked him in and shot him into a whole new universe.

Abilities:

Powers

Green Magic-There's always an extremely faint green aura surrounding Jim. Its so dim most people can't see it but its there. He's not sure exactly how it works, but it seems to add some special property to his attacks which allow him to cause harm to things which normally means shouldn't be able to harm.

Gelatinous Body- Jim's body is actually made out of sentient slime.

Transform- Jim can alter the shape, density, hardness, and even color of his body.

Viscokinesis Jim can alter the Viscosity of his body.

Physical Damage Immunity- Due to Jim's body's lack of physical(ness(?)) he can't be harmed by physical and kinetic attacks, because all his body has to do is regroup to reform.

Absorb- Jim can absorb dead biological matter to replenish lost sludge or increase his strength. Though, the higher the amount of mass he possesses the greater the mental strain.

Remote Control- If enough sludge is together Jelly can control it remotely, but if there's not enough matter then all he can do is command said matter to regroup.

Sticky goo- Jim slime is very sticky and can be used to hold on to things and climb walls

Toxicity/ Poison Immunity- Jim's body is immune to all forms of poisons and toxins.

Self Sufficient- Since Jim is apparently fueled by magic he doesn't need food, water, or air, but he does get tired like a normal human being.

Seed- Jim can create a "seed" of himself. This "seed" is a small green sphere about the size of an apple which he copies all his memories into. Then, if the main mass dies the "seed" becomes active. Though it does not contain any of the memories after its conception.

Weaknesses

Strength Pound for pound the black pudding is nowhere near as strong as an average human being. For example at 100lbs of material he'd only be as strong as the average man would be at 50lbs

Temperature changes The Black Pudding is adversely affected by any change in temperature. Sudden drops cause him to slow down, or possibly freeze altogether and when the temperature suddenly increases his body starts evaporating like water under summer sun in a desert. Its no the actual temperature that causes him problems, its the change. Even a mild length gust of wind could slow him down noticeably and a few degrees rise in temperature would start making his body deteriorate. Other than that he can stand temperatures that a human being would normally be able to stand.

Green Aura The green aura doesn't actually increase The Black Pudding's attack power. What it does is it allows his attacks to defenses that aren't based on physical properties like a spiritual body, psychic shield, magic armor, etc, etc.
--Stealth is harder with the green aura around. Its glow also becomes stronger when he gets emotional.

I'm somewhat interested, especially in that head executive spot within the Reign of Chaos, but I'm curious to know what the parameters on characters are in the long run.

I have several characters who's sole purposes are to fit into a multiversal setting, and since their abilities range from toned-down, to godlike depending on what period of their life they're introduced into an RP, they'd fit in just fine, all things considered. Not to mention MEGAMAN CHARACTERS ARE ALLOWED SO I'M ALL DOWN FOR THAT SHIZ YO.

My questions would be:

1: Would you be open to discussion the overarching plot line in-depth with me? Although you probably don't need another Co-GM, I'd still like to know where my boundaries as an RPer begin and end, so that I don't end up investing into major plans in-character fruitlessly. PM/Skype works good for stuff like that.

2: Character limit? Any?

3: I have a general idea of what's going on in character right now (Sort of?) but could I possibly get a brief overview of the situation so I'm not misinterpreting anything?

Oath Freedom

Above is displayed the light of the Earth-sphere mobile suit defense force, The Oath FREEDOM(Fusion Reactor Empowered Engine Deployable Omni-purpose Mobile-suit). Built in conjunction with the Oath ANGEL(Attack Neuro-Genetic Espionage and Land mobile suit) in mind, it has survived hundreds of decisive battles within the Crossworld War due to its advances in mobile suit engineering, and exotic experimental technology, coupled with the combat experience and extensive training from its ace pilot, Kyrie Lennis.

Prior to this model, mobile suits were , and primarily still are incredibly large and heavy beasts of machinery, forged of a titanium-ceramic alloy as they needed to be to facilitate their defenses, as well as the large thermonuclear reactor that provided their power. This however created large, slow, and power-inefficient machines. The answer to this was in the invention of Hyper-Compacted solar furnaces to act as engines. The smaller size yet greater power efficiency and output allowed for more compact, intricate mobile suits.

-ANATOMY-
Frame:
the Freedom is made of a very light, semi- durable pseudo-metal that interacts strangely with light. It is capable of both absorbing, and defracting it at variable ratios dependant upon the angle at which it is struck. Various transcievers linked to the PSI System allows for automatic control and gauging of the uses of light.

In terms of durability it is capable of surviving the harshest weather conditions, including extreme temperatures in either direction, and massive amounts of pressure before giving in. That said, the Freedom was built with mobility in mind, and to that end its defense is far from impregnable, and while it is capable of absorbing massive amounts of heat, prolonged retention will inevitably begin to melt away the exterior and effect the suits interior as well if not managed properly.

Moreover, through experimentation in quantum machinery, the entire surface of the armor houses billions of Auricite-based nanites that are programmed to cluster together in response to incoming values of force and speed to deflect and more efficiently combat impact force. The suit may also rapidly shed these nanites, mixing high speed and V particles to create afterimages, sometimes with interesting side effects. This material makes up the entirety of the first layer of the mobile suits framework(comprised of three six-inch sheets. Altered to 3 inches thick in the power armor variant.).

Beneath the foot and a half of aurilite are hundreds of thousands of meticulously weaved metallic nanofiber cords analogous to human musculature, allowing for a more streamlined, human-like degree of mobility and meneuverability. However, a lot of these internal workings are left partially exposed due to the light aurilite shielding present.

This extensive increase in mobility is accented by various thrusters and verniers placed throughout the surface of the armor, with a giant liquid coolant propulsion system installed on its back capable of generating incredible amounts of thrust and speed, as instead of being a chemical propellant, it is instead nuclear powered.

The deepest level of the suit is made of a dense skeletal system, packing piston power into each limb, and an incredibly dense 'ribcage' complex that protects the E. P. Drive that resides where the human heart would be.

E.P. Drive(Exotic Particle Drive):
The heart of the Freedom and the source of its near limitless power. The Exotic Particle Collision Drive is essentially a microcompacted, self sustaining solar furnace. It acts as the heart of the suit, generating both near-perpetual energy for virtually unlimited operation times and also generates the titular V particles and distributes them throughout the mobile suit.

The Drive utilizes solar power to activate a reaction between hydrogen-3(A gas limited to Jupiter) and baryons( to start baryonic decay) to create the V particles and energy, resulting from the near endless collision and annihilation of particles. This results in both massive stores of energy at almost any given time, and an abundance of self-perpetuated particles.

The engine is designed to generate a steady amount of particles over time, though this function can be manually overwritten to allow the engine to run at maximum capacity, causing massive influxes of V particles. When these limiters are removed, the phase is called 'Full Burst' and offers massive increases to power output, strength and speed(via incredible amounts of thrust through overstocking of particles).

It is the single most important piece of machinery present within the mobile suit. The destruction of or otherwise shutting down of it will result in the suits immediate destruction/powerdown.

V Particles:
Discovered in 2049(113 years ago) via the research of professor Himler Vikowski during a test reaction of his Vikowsky Reactor. During the reaction a strange electromagnetic wave effect occurred that could not be explained by conventional physics. A byproduct of the reaction was the discovery of an exotic, previously unseen particle. That particle became known as the Nu particle, or simply the 'V' particle.

The V particle has a near-zero rest mass, though like any particle this value will increase to reflect its kinetic or potential energy, and can be positively or negatively charged. When scattered into open space or air, they take on quite different and interesting characteristics. They interfere with and effectively 'jam' other frequencies such as infrared, radio waves, and light across the magnetic spectrum, creating a fogging effect about the Oath. This is possible because when scattered freely, the repulsive forces between the particles forces them to naturally align in a cubic lattice called a 'Mu', or M field that blocks longer wavelengths, and diffracts similar wavelength fringes via diffraction and polarization.

When concentrated and controlled, the M Field can become a semi-tangible barrier that can lase physical objects and repel other excited particles. This effect can be used for an improvised cloaking mechanism as well, blocking the visible wavelengths of light. However, when this is done, its defensive properties are marginally decreased.

However, the most interesting, yet largely un-observed effect of the particle, is that when under the influence of quantum brainwaves(psi), an unknown reaction occurs that allows the particles to marginally effect the pull that gravity has on objects, posited to be primarily due to the baryonic nature of the particle. Tests have shown the capability to greatly increase, or decrease an objects mass without sacrificing or increasing its volume, which is what eventually lead to the construction of the Fate - a mobile suit meant to be lighter and faster than any other.

Because of their reaction with other forms of radiation, wireless or otherwise long range signals are rendered inept, and allows for emissionless thrust when channeled through the Freedoms various verniers. The properties of the particle encourages visible contact range encounters, as opposed to ranged combat.

Heat Management and Auto-Fuel System(HMAFS): The various advanced operation and weapon systems equipped on the Freedom generate large amounts of heat over time, so to deal with this a series of heat fins and sinks are equipped into the shoulder guards of the Freedom, as well as various heat exhausts spread about the frame of the suit that are hidden until in use. A primary exhaust is located in the mouth of the Freedom, equipped with an internal thermionic transfuser, capable of channeling heat into electrical energy, releasing streams of kinetic and electric force long ranges. They also by extention help shed heat from outside forces, such as radiation, or superheated gases/substances.

-TECHNOLOGY-
PSI(Psychic Innovation) System:
Several generations following the advent discovery of V particles, another great scientific breakthrough had occurred, though this one was more biological and/or evolutionary than technological. It would seem that the discovery of the v particle was the catalyst for human evolution, as those who were exposed to them the most(generally 5+ years of regular particle exposure) began to be able to perform something called 'psi', which allowed one to, at varying potencies and degrees, detect and/or project thoughts, intentions, and emotions.

The Psi System is an experimental neuro-software meant to maximize the combat potential for those with psychic ability, namely ace pilot Kyrie Lennis. This system utilizes Quantum Brainwave transcievers set within all of the nanites present within the suit, which receive quantum brain waves from a host capable(psi), and converts them into machine code, allowing the pilot to control the suit remotely when not within, and like an extension of his body when piloting.

A series of separate yet related Brainwave Amplifiers, dubbed Psyco-Passes are set within and about the suit as well, at low power simply aiding with the pilots connection with the aforementioned transceievers, but at higher output levels can amplify brain waves until they are powerful enough to manifest as physical expressions(kinetic energy, mass, and potential).

Bio-Com:
The primary sensory unit of Freedom. As its name implies it is similar to the human brain, and its processes and programs are similar to that of human thoughts and emotions, and is responsive to those factors. The bio-com transmits outside data and instead of displaying that data on a monitor, translates it into sensory information. Mathematical location, atmospheric changes, heat signatures, energy signatures and the like are all present within this suite of sensory boons. Sense of kinaesthesia is maximized, allowing for pinpoint reaction times.

This bio-com is directly linked to the senses, and via brainwave-to-code technology, senses can be enhanced or decreased on mental command.

Cockpit:

AutoLock System:
An automatic targeting system built within the hundreds of sensory receivers placed throughout the suit. Upon mental command, the pilot can mark a target or targets based on their perceived hostility, and it is then that the hundreds of panoramic screens present within the cockpit become loaded with available information about a target, and will 'lock' onto that person or thing. Capable of tracking locked energy emissions and various biological factors after the initial lock, the targeting system is also cross linked to all of the Freedoms various weapons systems, and all fire, regardless of angle or location, will be set to the hostiles location.

-Weapons/Inventory-
'Atlas' Positron Rifle:
Two large rifles mounted on the shoulders of the Freedom. Drawing power from its internal reactor as opposed to the less efficient on-board weapon engine, the positron rifle compresses positrons within a pressure chamber giving them incredible energy and mass before releasing them. It has three power levels, one being low, and three being the highest, capable of punching clean through the hulls of battleships. When not in use they are placed upon either side of the Freedoms main thruster, and can be used to increase thrust. When in operation, they are extendable via flexible metallic pole-like extensions that are hidden where the shoulder blades would be, allowing them to fire in any direction as opposed to just forward.

'Archimedes' Variable Beam Rifle:
Not to be mistaken with the similar positron rifle, this rifle instead uses 'V' particles as ammunition instead of other generic particles. The Archimedes compresses a great quantity of V particles that, when released are held in beam form by the M field they create. However, because of their rapid firing speed the M fields are never fully formed, and thus have 'leaks', which bleeds V particles into the surroundings slowly. Because of their nature, these beams are able to pierce just about anything, and moreover, can have their release waves altered. Tuned to finer frequencies, the beam is in its standard shape, and has incredible piercing power. At lower frequencies, the beam is significantly widened to the point that its far closer to a wave shape, capable of dealing massive close range damage a la a shotgun.

'Sentinal' Kinetic Revolver:
A long-nosed 6-barreled revolver held in a hidden compact holster on the right thigh. It, like majority of its other weapons, is powered by the reactor of the suit, and utilizes that power and channels it into raw kinetic force and thermal energy. It has two firing modes, and can alter the shape of the blast similarly to the Archimedes. The standard firing mode is semi-automatic, firing single shots from the revolving six barrels. The second mode allows for 'Burst fire' which fires multiple blasts at a single time for more power, but less range.

'Xiphas' Rail Cannon:
Two foldable hip-mounted cannons utilizing electromagnetic influence as opposed to gunpowder. They boast an excellent rate of fire and ammo capacity, each being able to fire 7 shots before loading is necessary. They term 'cannon' is used in place of the generic rail 'gun', because as the name implies, munitions are far larger.

'Vulcan' 70mm Turret Guns:
Two small caliber machine guns placed on either side of the mobile suits head. Using such a small caliber bullet, these are not meant for offensive use, but rather suppression and defense applications, such as shooting down missiles and lightly armored aircraft.

'Damascus' Melee Beam Array:
A series of V Particle based close quarter beam weapons spread about the Freedom. The first and foremost of these is the beam saber, a cylindrical 'hilt' which channels V particles through out, and then projects the particles from the opening at the top of the hilt utilizing M fields to conform it into a sword or saber shape. When making contact with another object, that part of the m-field is released, allowing the energy to flow out freely to cut just about anything in its path. That said, a saber is not the only form they can take, as they are only limited by the shape of the M field the user wishes the particles to conform to. Two are held within hidden compartments on the underside of either wrist within docking stations where they charge until used. An extra two are also located within hidden compartments along the Freedoms primary back thruster.

The second weapon of choice are the particle, or 'V' Tonfas - two cylindrical objects not unlike the hilt of the beam saber, but altered for use in a style that better suits actual tonfa combat. These hilts generate an M field in various shapes analogous to traditional tonfas, which the particles conform to. The M field can be manually removed to allow for sudden, often violent discharges.

Other variations include 'beam' knuckles, knives, and other close quarter weaponry.

'Longinus' Solid-state melee array:
Unlike the beam array, solid-state weapons are not housed about the suit, but reside within a 'quantum forge' that constantly generates the most powerful alloys available, allowing Freedom to pull weapons from 'thin air', or at least mimics it well. The metal comprising these weapons have been named

The vibro blade is the primary form, usually anywhere from the size of a combat knife, to a long sword and utilizes vibrations(about 6k rpm) to create a cutting edge. The nature of the metal causes it to be incredibly conductive, and the vibrations are so fast that the oxygen nearest the blade ionizes via friction, adding even more cutting power to the edge, and a lot like a plasma charge, can be discharged very long distances from the source while using no extra energy to travel distance.

Another common iteration is that of a whip, or 'linked sword'.

FANGs(Ferrokinetic Aerodynanic Neural Garrisons):
Remote weapons used utilizing the brainwave-to-machine code technology present within the PSI System. FANGs are collapsible funnel shaped machines made of the same material comprising the Mobile Suit that can be controlled via the pilots brain waves. Eight in total, each fang is equipped with various verneirs that expel V particles for propulsion and rapid directional shifting for aerial dogfighting meneuvers that could not be performed otherwise. Each is also equipped with a mechanism that allows them to discharge V particles as a beam for BVR combat, or can contain them into a blade shape via M fields for close range combat.

The fangs are reactive in nature, and are capable of acting on their own accord in particular situations, primarily those involving automatic brain functions, such as fear, anger, or simply the natural function to defend ones own life, allowing them to deal with targets that are not within visible range.

However, utilizing these weapons systems eats up battery power, and each Fang can only fire a single shot before needing to be either discarded as deadweight, or redocked to the back of the mobile suit for recharging. When docked and not in use, the Fangs are collapsed and set on charging panels, taking the appearance of wing-like apendages that when used in conjunction with its other verneirs and primary thruster, allows for maximum mobility and speed.

Megaman characters will be nice!

1). The plot is pretty straight forward. With the Reign of Chaos taking complete control of the multiverse, a band of fighters known as the Resistance are trying to restore peace and order to the multiverse. Basically, a Multiverse Star Wars

2). None lol make as many as you can handle

3). There's a massive battle going down on the planet Elderitch IV, with the Reistance units on the attacking side. The goal for them is to capture Shinnok, who is one of the Head Executive members, and try to locate their base. Bayonetta has been tasked as a Spec Ops to find him.

I plan on adding Megaman characters regardless, but I'd like to see if this is acceptable for either an Elite guard, or head executive character. He can be toned down even further, but I think 3000-year old Yzeira is probably the best fit for this RP. Feel free to deny it or suggest changes, though.

The first, and perhaps most evident trait of Yzeira's personality is his subtle, yet completely overbearing arrogance. Although well deserved to some extent, this creation of corrupt magical power considers himself intellectually superior to all other organic beings in the multiverse, and rates his own power as completely unmatched, regardless of whether or not this is actually the case. You might not notice his superiority complex at first, but through prolonged contact with the man, it becomes unbearably obvious that he holds disdain for all life, only valuing knowledge for what it is, and claiming that it undeservedly sits in the minds of unworthy whelps throughout the multiverse. Although his confidence knows no bounds, he is intelligent enough to recognize when he cannot overcome another force greater than his, and will begrudgingly accept his place within larger organizations until the time comes where he can assume his rightful spot at the top of the multiversal totem poll once again. Of course, since the multiverse has an infinite number of dimensions to traverse, Yzeira knows that there will always be somebody more powerful than him out there. Knowing this, he will only show respect to those he wishes to kill, or otherwise eliminate from the fabric of existence.

Yzeira's behavior around people he does not see as an immediate threat to his life is cold, and distant. Although he will hold a conversation if it beckons some use to his bank of knowledge, it is very rare for him to show genuine interest in the people who are feeding him information. This is partially due to the fact that nearly all of his emotions have been forcefully stricken from him, leaving only his unparalleled logic and reasoning in their place. However, albeit a somewhat rare occurrence, Yzeira can tap into the strongest emotional influence of his fellow void creations at random, sending him into sudden fits of rage, sadness, joy, and regret. This only becomes apparent if one prods him with conversation during an 'emotional episode' so to speak.

One of Yzeira's last definitive natures, is his overwhelming desire to consume knowledge. If there is something he does not understand, he will go to great lengths to learn about it, and record his findings in a notebook that he carries on his person at all times. This is his greatest weakness, and can sometimes overcome his rationale to a significant degree. Nexus and Alex eventually mastered a new form of dimensional travel, allowing them to look into other worlds, and see through the infinite void between worlds. This let them travel accurately, and name dimensions, granting much more potential to traverse them with ease. It did however, require years of setup to establish a single, stable link between two worlds, but it was safe.

Yzeira on the other hand went into the study of 'pocket dimension' theory, ultimately allowing him to create a pocket dimension by using a collection of mass as its base. It also allowed him quick travel between dimensions, using his tower as a sort of 'dimensional space craft'. This had negative side effects though. The effects seem limited only by how long Yzeira spends gathering energy, and how dense his target's matter and/or energy is. It can be influenced by barriers and sheer mass, and disappears once it eats away at a set amount of energy or mass. Collections of his magic will weaken the bonds between atoms if they do not outright destroy them, allowing eventual extermination of any and all matter in the multiverse. Living organisms hit with his magic are particularly resistant to it, however, as will not be evaporated instantly unless the density of Yzeira's energy is excessively high. Prolonged exposure will result in gradual weakness however, and ultimate end in death if exposed for long enough.

Dimensional Travel
Using his knowledge of dimensional physics, Yzeira can transport anything, including himself, to a nearby dimension after channeling for about 30 seconds. He uses this to return to his Tower at will, if it is stationed close enough to a dimension. This also allows him to travel across long distances with ease, but it is not viable as an escape due to how long it takes to channel.

Perfect Vision
Although not an ability offered to him by the void, it is improved by his further understanding of dimension physical. Yzeira's eyes allow him to perceive everything within 65 yards of wherever his head is positioned. Additionally, if focused, Yzeira can witness physical and magical occurrences on an atomic level, allowing him to see through objects as well. Although this cannot be done on anything that isn't within his natural cone of sight, he is still able to perceive the general mass and/or energy density within the aforementioned 65 yard radius, making it nearly impossible to approach him stealthily.

The action of ripping a large enough hole in space time to destroy an entire universe. This takes several months to achieve at his current age, requires constant focus, and is completely impractical in literally every situation. Don't mean he won't threaten your shit with utter annihilation though.

Though the void has improved his magical capabilities, Yzeira's body, although it appears muscular, cannot exert much force at all, making him far weaker and less agile than an average human male. Additionally, he is very vulnerable to all forms of physical harm. His body's natural healing capabilities are shot, instead using a portion of his energy to restore damaged flesh at a rate similar to normal human healing, very inefficiently. Simply put, a bullet wound could easily incapacitate Yzeira, if he were to ever allow such a thing to occur, making him a glass cannon. This is however, not obvious, since very few have wounded Yzeira in the past, and those who have, are either dead, or currently working under him.

Although well deserved to some extent, this creation of corrupt magical power considers himself intellectually superior to all other organic beings in the multiverse, and rates his own power as completely unmatched, regardless of whether or not this is actually the case. You might not notice his superiority complex at first, but through prolonged contact with the man, it becomes unbearably obvious that he holds disdain for all life, only valuing knowledge for what it is, and claiming that it undeservedly sits in the minds of unworthy whelps throughout the multiverse. Although his confidence knows no bounds, he is intelligent enough to recognize when he cannot overcome another force greater than his, and will begrudgingly accept his place within larger organizations until the time comes where he can assume his rightful spot at the top of the multiversal totem poll once again. Of course, since the multiverse has an infinite number of dimensions to traverse, Yzeira knows that there will always be somebody more powerful than him out there. Knowing this, he will only show respect to those he wishes to kill, or otherwise eliminate from the fabric of existence.

Yzeira's behavior around people he does not see as an immediate threat to his life is cold, and distant. Although he will hold a conversation if it beckons some use to his bank of knowledge, it is very rare for him to show genuine interest in the people who are feeding him information. This is partially due to the fact that nearly all of his emotions have been forcefully stricken from him, leaving only his unparalleled logic and reasoning in their place. And if not, can I repeat the same stunt again? Note however that there are limits to Osamu's ability to Magically/Ritually Resurrect people; he needs magical tears, magical earth, and finally, he needs to know where the Soul is; if something is keeping the Soul from coming back to the body, then the Rite fails.
