Valkyria
Ouroboros made this land for us. He filled it with life, with many different biomes for us to claim as our homes. He created creatures for us to use and to befriend, for us to hunt for merely the thrill, for us to fear. He forged our very being in his heavenly furnace, and thus molded our very race-- dragonkind.
We dragons have claimed Valkyria for centuries. At first, we intermingled with one another and lived in peace. But differences between us created a rift between families, and so, three factions have formed. To the very south of Valkyria lies the Starfall Isles and the nation Violetsands, owned by the Ravensongs; in the midst of the the continent rests the Ivorywood Forests and the nation called Ignis, claimed by the Sunbursts; and to the very north, somewhat isolated from the rest of the countries, lies the Frostspine Mountains and the country called Wintergarde, owned by the Blackcrests.
After a long period of peace lasting for many years, destruction razed across Valkyria. Fires blazed and villagers were murdered, fledglings were taken from their homes only to be found murdered weeks later. No one knows who is taking part in these foul actions, and so, the relationship between Violetsands, Ignis, and Wintergarde is tense and full of violence. Whether this is just a single dragon on a killing spree or an act of war, tension is skyrocketing.
Plot
The lords of the continent have gathered together, reluctantly agreeing with one another and deciding to round up recruits who will investigate the source of the meaningless brutality that plagued their home. You will be one of these dragons, and you will have to learn how to cooperate if you want your land to be saved.
About Dragons
Dragons are creatures that are, to humans like us, called shifters. They are able to shift between human form and feral form at will, but there is a bit of information that you must know before you make a dragon.
In their human forms, or Calmed forms, dragons resemble regular human beings. Yet, they age incredibly slowly, and so, dragons that are hundreds of years old look like they are in their late teens to their early twenties. They cannot "half-shift", or grow wings or breathe fire in their human forms.
In their dragon forms, or Feral forms, dragons are four-limbed, two-winged beasts with a variety of shapes and colors. All of them breathe fire, and cannot breathe anything else. They cannot walk on two feet, and cannot have more than a pair of functioning wings. Despite bearing this powerful form, younger dragons cannot stay in this form for long as it seeps away their energy.
Dragons mate and give birth in their Calmed forms, and it is recommended that they not shift when they are carrying young. They give birth to one or two children at once. Gestation usually takes around a few months, and mothers are able to produce milk for their offspring.
