The lady smiles, "poor girl, you really don't seem to understand that you can't defeat us on your own." And with that the man standing guard in front of her shouts the last number.

"5"

His large loose fitting robe suddenly becomes tight as his body swells with increasing muscle mass, his jaw drops low as his mouth opens wide to give way to a row of large fierce jagged fangs.
He hunches forward as needle like spines spurt out of his shoulders and through his clothing, similar along his forearms and shins.
His skin mutates to a horrid hard grey as his eyes grow deep and reserved.
Truly a monster of nightmares.

When his transformation into a hulking beast was complete, the lady steps back relinquishing him of her touch. Clearly this was her magic. Faint red lines spiderwebbed across the floor tracing their way from her up the wall and into the stone ceiling.
The glow of energy faded soon after the spell was complete.

In a flash the large mutated brute swung a heavy fist right at Kylaf's face.

Sylem frowned when the woman told her what to do. She stepped through the hole in the wall, entering the darker room. She walked forward until she was beside the white-haired girl. She simply glared at the frightening beast, a look of boredom on her face. When the man attempted to strike Kylaf, Sylem made no attempt to help her.

Kyla's dodged the best's attack by getting realy low to the ground. She made her food glow with power as she sprung into the air and roundhouse kicked the monster in the face which barely staggered it, then grabbed the beast's arm to try and hurt its arm but it spun with such speed she got caught off guard. She glared at the wall as she got closser and sed "come here puppy!" And dodge out of the way right before it charged into the wall.

Red lines pulsed down the wall once again to where the woman stood. As Kylaf played with her monster the two other men began to rise. The one nearest Sylem reaches out to grab her in a fierce bear hug.

The other briskly walks to the commanding woman's side.

As the monster charged Kylaf and missed it continued up the wall and defied gravity as it clawed along the ceiling to pounce at her from above.

As the beast attempted to attack her, Sylem jumped back. Her eyes were glued on the monster in a cold, icy stare. Eight black orbs the size of softballs floated towards her from each of the corners of the room. Sylem launched all of the orbs at the monster currently attacking her. If the orbs hit their target, they'd detonate into an explosion of darkness.

"Everyone, I'm here to discuss the 'E Word'! All I need to know is what powers you can bring to the table, and then we can for a plan to es-" He stopped himself as soon as he could, but then a flash of motion came to his attention out of the corner of his right eye.

Before he could react, several golems began moving. At first, Arcantas was afraid that they were after him, or that their programming had been tweaked to react to the first two letters of "escape." The dracon was relieved when he saw that the stone golems ran past him and instead ran over to break up the fight between Sylem and her assailant.

Straining under the burden of the anti-magic fields, Arcantas ran after the golems and powered up a firebolt, preparing to use it on whoever posed the greatest threat to his plan. He kept the soft orange glow hidden in the palm of his right hand as best he could, knowing that the golems could react to even a slight show of aggression. "Another brawl?! Good Gods, people!"

Salamel, listening closely to the Dracon's words, he stayed quiet, not bringing attention to himself until hearing something that piqued his interest. Even though he tried covering his words, Salamel heard him correctly about trying to escape. With a slight smirk, he watched the golems break up a fight that was happening. Bringing his eyes back to the Dracon, Salamel finally broke silence. "Not that I should care but, what could the possibly be fighting about? wouldn't it be wise to save their strength to lay waste to the golems?"

"It would be wise, but I know all too well that wisdom is not why people usually do things. It's greed first, followed by pride, lust, fear, honor, faith, and blind obedience. Love is in there somewhere, but all that stuff is ahead of wisdom by far" Arcantas replied, standing next to Salamel

"Can't blame a guy for trying to sound righteous. But anywho...I couldn't help but overhear you speak about.. *looking around for a moment* the 'E word' as you put it. Now...I don't know about blindly following or doing things out of fear, well the former is what got me in here in the first place, but Greed, pride, lust...which is something else that got me in here, and somewhat honor...is what motivates me. Depending on how thought out your plan is, you may very well have yourself a new temporary ally."

"When we're out of here, all bets are off." Arcantas remarked. He didn't add that 'ally' was hardly what he had in mind for the others. 'Tools' or 'assets' would have been better descriptors.

"In any event, 'ally', maybe we can settle this fight, then get make to the e-word plan."

Sylem's attack was on corse for a perfect hit.
However, the explosion was far wider than even Sylem could have expected.
As soon as it contacted the brute the whole room suddenly flooded with darkness as the orb exploded outwards.

There was a heavy scream from the man attacking Sylem, it thundered of the walls, echoing around the room with a disorientating sonic force.
But none the less it was a quick sharp yell of pain as a thick mist escaped his dying body and hung in the air within the darkness.

Soon it settled just as the golems entered the cell. All were gone excepted for the mangled corpse of Sylem's attacker on the floor.
Even the roof now appeared the correct height, as to the normal entrance was visable.

The enemy had fled.
Leaving no traces in their wake.

By the time the darkness had faded, Sylem was gone, leaving the white-haired girl to deal with the golems that had just arrived (see Aristocles post from 21 hours ago). Sylem traveled through dark corners and crevices until she arrived at the mess hall, before exiting the shadows and practically poofing into existence sitting at a table with to two other people. She kept her head down as to not look suspicious.

When Kyla saw the golems rush into the room she sneaked to a dark corner where she concentrated her power all over her body using her light manipulation to try and make her self invisible. If she was invisible it would mask her presence and her magic, "I have to try harder" she thought to herself as she was standing in the corner. She was becoming exousted to quickly, she had to let out a boost of power but that would draw the golems to her. If she didn't do it she would be cought anyway.

She let out a boost of power that made a light like a flash bang and blinded the golems. Then a flow of what seemed like liquid light washed over her entire body and she was invisible. She ran out of the door sore all over from concerteding her magic power like that on the second to last flight of stairs she tripped on the bottom step and hit the floor like a helpless puppy careful not to hurt Plue. Then got up to walk down the last flight of stairs to the mess hall where she would disappear into the croud.

The sun blazed overhead. The hum of machinery at the receiving station signaled it was coming to life, which meant a new occupant of The Pit was on their way. Several guards, all heavily armed, were standing by as a bright light engulfed the platform. When it cleared a young woman was standing there. Seeing the amount of guards and how heavily they were armed made her grin.
"All this for little me? I'm flattered," she said before stepping off of the platform. The guards immediately surrounded her. "You really think I'm going anywhere?" she asked while rattling the chains on her wrists and ankles.

But it seemed they were not the talkative type. So the long, quiet and very boring march began. Whoever made this place sure knew how to pick scenery. It was desolate, barren, parched, lifeless... everything one needed for the backdrop of a prison. She would have to remember to complement her captor once she met him.
The wind blew harshly but she savored every moment. It was likely the last she was going to get of it for the rest of her existence.
Unless she was set free...

She wasn't quite sure how things worked here. Would she be up for parole if she was a good girl? Not likely. One because of the kind of place this was. Two because there was no way she could be a 'good girl' for long. But until she knew what she was dealing with here she could definitely fake it.

Her first sight of the prison known as The Pit did depress her. It looked as parched and desolate as the area surrounding it. Would it kill them to add some flowers or something? A tree maybe? She supposed criminals were not deemed worthy of atmosphere and scenery.
She was led inside and to the office of what she assumed was the Warden. Her 'escorts' tossed some papers onto the table, likely giving her name and a list of her supposed 'crimes'.

Camira grinned. Well... a few were 'supposed' and a few were accurate.
And quite a few weren't even on the list.

She tossed her dark hair away from her face, her amber eyes glowing like the coals of a fire. Hopefully the Warden was male and humanoid. At the very least maybe she could flirt her way to good treatment.

The fight had been easy to resolve. A few firebolts made all the difference, although no one died. It had taken quite a while, but Arcantas had managed to get several of the other prisoners together to discuss escape plans, although he dared not use that word aloud.

"So, it seems we have a newcomer here. Tell me, female, who are you and what powers do you have?"
